Vintage 1980s Blue Batik Style Sun Print Smock Tunic Top UK 12

Brilliant vintage 1980s smock tunic in cobalt blue, black and grey with a big graphic sun and stripe print. The print has a fab batik-style look and the heavier woven fabric gives the whole top a proper structured shape rather than a soft, drapey blouse.

It has wide short sleeves, a long boxy body, oversized front patch pocket and an unusual overlapping V neckline fastened internally with Velcro. That chunky fabric, simple smock construction and bold graphic print feel wonderfully early 80s.

There’s no surviving brand, fabric or size label.

Based on the measurements and the structured cut, I’d place this around a modern UK 10-12, best listed as a UK 12 for the intended relaxed fit.
