It comes in various chest sizes. Because it’s longer (for Border/Northumbria/Solway etc.), it’s made to fit jackets of matching length. Some users note that A295 is for longer coats; A297 is shorter.

The Barbour A295 Warm Pile Lining is a removable “snap-in” liner designed to add insulation and warmth to larger “longer-cut” Barbour wax jackets (e.g. Border, Northumbria, Solway). It’s made with a thick, plush acrylic “pile” (faux fur-like), with a knitted / fleece backing, and is built to be comfortable, warm, and durable. Often used in cold weather for extra layer under waxed outer shell.

It’s typically sleeveless (a vest-style liner), attaches via studs/snaps into compatible jackets. In many examples the liner can also be used on its own as a gilet (if the wearer doesn’t mind without a shell).
