In 1989 Nike released the Nike ACG line. A predecessor to its hiking line it was characterised by unusual silhouettes, combining hiking styles with athletic shoes, GORE-TEX technology on footwear and, for the time, absurd colourways. Designers for this line were given creative freedom and the products were incredibly well thought out, being stylish, functional and always made with the highest quality, innovative materials.
