Rare early Ralph Lauren women's original sample from the 1970s.

This is an authentic development/sample garment retaining its original
“ORIGINAL SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE” label, with handwritten development
information including the original style / fabric fields.

Beautiful 100% silk construction in a warm champagne / pale khaki tone.

Classic early Ralph Lauren safari / utility influence with an open camp
collar, two large rectangular chest patch pockets, short sleeves,
button-front construction and a gathered back yoke.

Very understated early Ralph Lauren design language — the emphasis is on
the luxurious silk, proportion and construction rather than overt
branding.

Measurements:
Shoulder — 41cm
Length — 60cm

Condition:
Fair / good vintage condition with noticeable age-related wear.

There is a small repair near the shoulder, age-related marks /
discoloration around the front and button area, and additional marks on
the interior. One original button is cracked / damaged but remains
attached. There are further signs of age throughout the silk.
