What the FLUF Extension Does
The FLUF Connect Chrome extension is the browser companion for your FLUF Connect dashboard. Once installed, it lets you crosslist products, sync inventory, change prices and delist items across multiple marketplaces — all from a single dashboard at fluf.io/connect.
You don’t interact with the extension day-to-day. After install it sits quietly in your browser toolbar and does its job in the background while you carry on with the rest of your work.
What you can do once it’s installed
- Crosslist a single item from FLUF (or from a connected channel like Shopify) to multiple marketplaces in one click
- Edit listings — change prices, descriptions, photos — in FLUF and have those changes pushed out to the marketplaces automatically
- Delist items in bulk or one-by-one without logging in to each marketplace
- Inventory sync — when an item sells on one channel, FLUF removes it from the others so you don’t oversell
- Auto-relist older items to keep them fresh in marketplace feeds
Why a Browser Extension?
Most marketplace integrations on FLUF (eBay, Depop, Shopify, Etsy and others) work over standard APIs — no extension required. For those channels, you connect once on the dashboard and FLUF handles everything from our servers.
A handful of marketplaces don’t work that way. Vinted, Facebook Marketplace and Poshmark tie your account to the device and browser you normally use. Connecting them through a third-party server can flag your account or get it suspended — not because anything dishonest is happening, but because that’s how those marketplaces protect against bots.
The extension solves this cleanly. Because it runs inside your browser, every action looks like it’s coming from you. Your accounts stay safe, your listings publish reliably, and FLUF never has to handle your passwords.
Marketplaces It Powers
The extension is required for the following channels:
| Marketplace | Why the extension is needed |
|---|---|
| Vinted | Vinted ties your session to your browser. The extension keeps your connection healthy and publishes listings on your behalf. |
| Facebook Marketplace | Meta requires actions to come from your own browser session. The extension handles this without needing your Facebook password. |
| Poshmark | Poshmark expects actions to be initiated from a logged-in browser. The extension makes that work in the background. |
| Wallapop | Wallapop’s session refresh works most reliably when paired with normal browser activity. The extension keeps things running smoothly. |
Other channels — eBay, Depop, Shopify, Etsy, Yaga, Temu, Vestiaire Collective and Whatnot — work without the extension. You can still install it though, and many sellers do, since it makes a few quality-of-life features run more smoothly.
How to Install (3 Steps)
- Click “Add FLUF to Chrome” on the Chrome Web Store listing and accept the standard install prompt.
- Sign in to FLUF Connect at fluf.io/connect. The extension will detect your account automatically.
- Connect your marketplaces from the dashboard. For Vinted, Facebook Marketplace and Poshmark, you’ll be prompted to log in to each marketplace in a browser tab — that’s all the setup you need.

Privacy & Account Safety
This is a deliberate piece of how FLUF is built — and it’s worth being explicit about:
- FLUF never sees your marketplace passwords. You log in to Vinted, Facebook, Poshmark and the rest in your own browser, the same way you always have.
- No central credential store to be breached. Because passwords aren’t stored on our servers, there’s nothing for an attacker to steal.
- You can disconnect any time — uninstall the extension or remove a marketplace connection from the dashboard. There’s no lock-in.
- You stay in control of your accounts. Logging out of a marketplace, changing your password, or revoking access works exactly as it would normally — FLUF doesn’t get in the way.
Permissions Explained
Chrome will show you a list of permissions when you install. Here’s what they’re for, in plain English:
| Permission | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Access to the marketplaces you connect | So the extension can publish, edit and delist listings on your behalf when you tell it to |
| Access to fluf.io | So the dashboard and extension can talk to each other |
| Storage | To remember which marketplaces you’ve connected and queue your actions |
| Alarms | To run scheduled background tasks (e.g. checking inventory or refreshing connections) |
The extension doesn’t read or modify pages you visit outside of the marketplaces you’ve connected. It doesn’t touch your banking, email, or any other sites you use.
Troubleshooting & Support
If something isn’t working as expected, the dashboard is the best place to start — it’ll tell you which connections need attention and walk you through fixing them.
- “Reconnect needed” notice on a channel — usually means the marketplace logged you out. Open the marketplace in a tab, sign in, and the dashboard will pick the connection back up.
- Extension not detected — refresh fluf.io/connect. If that doesn’t help, check that the extension is enabled in
chrome://extensions. - Update prompt on the dashboard — we only show this for important updates. Click through to the Chrome Web Store to install the new version.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — the extension itself is completely free to install and use. To make use of it you'll need a FLUF Connect account; there's a free tier to try things out, with paid plans starting at £19/month for higher volumes.
Only if you want to connect Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark or Wallapop. eBay, Depop, Shopify, Etsy, Yaga, Temu, Vestiaire Collective and Whatnot all work over standard APIs and don't require the extension. Many sellers install it anyway since it makes a few quality-of-life features run more smoothly.
FLUF never sees or stores your marketplace passwords. You log in to each marketplace as you normally would, in your own browser. The extension uses your existing browser session to publish and manage listings on your behalf — there's no centralised credential store on our end.
It needs access to the marketplaces you connect (so it can publish, edit and delist listings on your behalf), access to fluf.io (so the dashboard and extension can talk to each other), local storage (to remember your connections and queue actions), and Chrome's alarms API (for scheduled background tasks like inventory checks). It does not read or modify pages outside of the marketplaces you've connected.
It works on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers — Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera and Vivaldi all support Chrome Web Store extensions. It's not currently available for Safari or Firefox.
No. The extension is lightweight and only does work when you ask it to (e.g. crosslisting an item) or on a quiet schedule (e.g. an hourly inventory check). It doesn't track your browsing or run on every page you visit.
Right-click the FLUF icon in your Chrome toolbar and select "Remove from Chrome" — or open chrome://extensions, find FLUF, and click Remove. Your FLUF Connect account, listings and history aren't affected; you can reinstall any time.
Those marketplaces tie your account to the device and browser you normally use, as part of how they protect against bots. Connecting them through a third-party server can flag your account. Running through a browser extension keeps every action coming from your own session, so your accounts stay safe and your listings publish reliably.
It powers crosslisting, listing edits (price, description, photos), delisting, inventory sync (so an item that sells on one channel is removed from the others), and auto-relisting on supported channels. You drive everything from the FLUF Connect dashboard; the extension does the work in the background.
The FLUF Connect dashboard will flag any connections that need attention and walk you through fixing them. For anything else, our support team is on WhatsApp, email and in-app chat — real humans who use the product themselves.
