Pair Antique Heinrich Schmiecher Child Portrait Prints Framed Chromolithographs

Beautiful pair of antique framed chromolithograph portrait prints after the work of Heinrich Schmiecher (1852–1897). Featuring child portraits in their original period frames, these decorative Victorian/Edwardian prints make an elegant addition to a traditional or vintage-inspired home.

The prints are presented behind glass in matching wooden frames and retain their original backing boards and hanging cords.

Condition

Good antique condition for their age.
General age-related wear, scuffs and paint loss to the frames.These have been repainted at some point and there is some gold paint residue around the edges of glass in some areas.
Original backing boards show age-related ageing and wear. One has come apart but is complete for fitting.
On the boy picture, there is a very small corner of paper come away, difficult to see when backing is in place. This remains inside the frame for refixin if required.
