Vintage AMT/ERTL Pro Shop Lighted U.S.S. Yamaguchi Star Trek model kit, model number 30038, originally released in 1999. This is the sought-after 1:1400 scale clear-moulded version supplied with its dedicated lighting components.
The kit is unassembled and, from the photographs, the main clear plastic model components remain contained within their original bags. The electrical lighting components and wiring are also present in their housing, along with the instruction booklet, decal sheet and other paperwork shown.
The supplied decal sheet includes markings for the U.S.S. Yamaguchi NCC-26510 and related Ambassador-class markings. This Pro Shop release uses clear moulded components specifically intended to allow the internal lighting system to illuminate areas of the completed model. The exact kit is recognised under AMT/ERTL reference 30038 / AMT30038.
