Vintage black silk sequins beads cocktail gangsters moll fancy dress evening 10

An absolutely stunning vintage and rare find,.. A black silk evening cocktail dress covered in black sequins and beads.
100% silk with a 100% rayon lining... beautifully made in India, for New Look.
The labelling states size 10 but please see measurements listed below and shown in photos.
It has a very gangster's moll feel to it with it's 1920's/1930s Downton look...but would also suit as that 'little black number' for any modern evening do.

Measures approx. 35" from top of straps to hem... + straps of around 5" (doubled) as shown.
Measures approx. 16" underarm to underarm … but this then gets tad slimmer at the waist to 15" and then flares out a little then to around 18" at the hip/thigh level.

It has a zip fastening at the back and a hook and eye above that.. and a centre back split to allow for a little leg movement.

I bought this for a fancy dress party nearly 30 years ago, I wore it that once with a black feather boa!… sadly it is now way too small for me... so it needs a new home.

Please note:
As with all items of this sort of nature (beaded/sequins) there may be several beads or sequins missing or loose...this is inevitable with this type of garment so this should not be deemed a fault, and will likely not even notice being completely covered in them,.. but I will check the item over prior to posting and re- sew any beading/embroidery threads found to be obviously loose.

As private sellers (I'm not a business seller) we're not actually obliged to accept returns unless an item is faulty or if something has been described incorrectly, as per Ebay's Private sellers policy...
I sell items I no longer wear or have bought and then never worn,..and hence why I prefer to state 'no returns'.

However,..please contact me straight away if you find you have an issue with any item you have won or have bought from my Ebay listings, whether it's a BNWT or BNWOT or a USED item, as I'm always happy to help (just message me via Ebay) and I'm sure we'll be able resolve things... i.e. If I dont know there's a problem I can't really help. :)

You can see from my feedback that all the items I sell are good quality items (even stated as better than described in many cases), so simply leaving a neutral or negative feedback with no contact, or chance given for me to put it right, isn't the way to go.
