Antique Wooden Dining Chairs Pair Ladder Back Dowel Jointed William Morris 92cm

A pair of antique wooden dining chairs with ladder back design recovered in William Morris bird upholstery fabric. Constructed using wooden dowel joints rather than nails. The seats retain original horsehair filling and have been newly recovered. Nice wide seats with a generous seat area and very comfortable.

CONDITION REPORT

Good condition. One chair has a repair where the wood has broken and this is an old/historic repair and the chair remains solid and sturdy. Frames show age-related wear including scuffs, marks and wear to edges. One chair has visible wear to the top corner. Structurally solid. Seats recently recovered, original horsehair retained.
