Frank L. Emanuel Original Drawing Vitré 44x31cm French Town Pencil Sketch

Original graphite landscape drawing by British artist Frank L. Emanuel (1865–1948), titled Vitré, referencing the historic town in Brittany, France. The drawing depicts a panoramic view of the town’s fortified centre, including detailed architecture, church spires, rooftops, and foliage. Executed in pencil on paper and signed lower left in the artist’s hand. The work is presented behind glass with a black/grey mount and thin gilt line, and housed in a gold-painted frame with aged patina.

Condition:

Drawing is in very good condition, with light toning visible along the outer edge. Mount and glazing intact. Frame shows paint loss, abrasions and wear to gilded finish. Rear panel is modern replacement board, fitted with secure hanging wire.
