Victor Costa at Home Vintage 1980s Colourful Striped Batwing Tunic Top Made USA 14-16

Original vintage Victor Costa at Home oversized tunic top, made in the USA and dating from around the late 1980s or early 1990s.

A wonderfully bold piece in hot pink, cobalt blue, turquoise, purple and white, with vertical stripes through the body and a geometric patterned border around the lower hem and sleeve ends. The silky polyester fabric has a subtle woven spot texture which catches the light.

It has a wide piped V-neck, very loose batwing-style sleeves and a roomy cocoon shape. There are no fastenings, so it slips on over the head. This is an intentionally oversized design rather than a fitted blouse.

The original size label is no longer present or readable. Please use the measurements:

Pit to pit: approximately 30 inches

Width across lower opening: approximately 24–25 inches laid flat

The 60-inch chest measurement gives plenty of room through the upper body, but the narrower lower opening will determine how it sits at the hips. It may suit roughly a UK 16–18 depending on body shape, or work as an oversized statement top on a UK 12–14. Please compare the lower measurement with a similar garment you already own.
Made in the USA from 100% polyester.

Very good vintage condition overall, with bright colours and no marks found. There are loose and fraying threads along part of the lower piped hem. The garment remains wearable, but this has been photographed and reflected in the price.
