Vintage 1980s Blue Silk Peplum Blouse Puff Sleeves UK 8

This is such a fabulous proper 80s piece. A vintage A.J. Bari Petites blouse in 100% silk, with an electric blue, turquoise and black floral print and the most gloriously dramatic puff sleeves.

The shape is brilliant: strong padded shoulders, huge gathered sleeves, a fitted waist and double layered peplum hem. The wrap style V neckline is edged in black, with sparkling rhinestone buttons at the waist and cuffs. Those buttons really finish it off.

The silk has a subtle woven spot texture running through the print, which gives the colours even more depth. Fully lined through the body and made in Korea.

Labelled size 8. With a 17" pit to pit and 14" flat waist, I’d keep this at a modern UK 8. It is meant to sit fitted at the waist with all the drama happening through those shoulders and sleeves.
