50s French Indigo dyed Chore Jacket Slubby Cotton Twill 58
Description
Vintage French chore jacket dating approximately to the 1950s–early 1960s.
Made from an exceptional heavyweight slubby cotton twill with a beautiful deep ultramarine blue colour. The fabric has a very distinctive irregular texture rarely seen on later workwear pieces and develops a fade reminiscent of early Japanese heritage fabrics.
Classic 3-pocket construction, original workwear cut and authentic wear from decades of use. Natural fading along the seams, cuffs and hem gives the jacket outstanding character.
Unlike most later bleu de travail jackets, this one features a dense, richly textured cotton twill that collectors of vintage workwear and Japanese brands such as Momotaro, Warehouse or The Real McCoy’s will immediately appreciate for its fabric quality.
