Painted on board and presented in an ornate vintage gilt frame, the artwork captures figures overlooking the shoreline with sailing boats on the horizon in a loose impressionist style. Interestingly, the paint extends beneath the frame, indicating it was painted whilst already framed.

A lovely decorative original Welsh coastal painting, ready to hang. There is some original paint from when Irene created this piece to the frame itself. This has been left in place as the new owner may wish to keep as original (see 2nd to last image).

Good vintage condition overall. The painting displays light age-related craquelure consistent with an older oil painting. There is a small blemish which is located near the lady in red, to her lower left, and a small scrape which is shown in a close up image (final image). The ornate gilt frame has a small loss to the decorative upper right corner and scattered hairline cracks to the ornamentation, though all remain solid and secure. Ready to display.
