Key takeaways

  • Bunnings Marketplace is the part of Bunnings’ online store where third-party products are sold. Bunnings chooses its sellers, so this is a channel for approved Australian businesses, not an open sign-up.
  • Wesfarmers announced the marketplace in October 2019 and said sellers would need to qualify for its Trusted Sellers Program. Its later results describe the marketplace as growing, with double-digit sales growth in its 2025 annual report.
  • Bunnings does not publish its commission on any page this guide cites, so ask for the rate for your category before you sign.
  • Once Bunnings has approved you, FLUF Connect can list items already in the Bunnings Marketplace catalogue, matched by barcode. It does not import Bunnings orders, detect sales or relist.

This guide is for an Australian business with a barcoded range of homeware, kitchenware, whitegoods or home entertainment products that Bunnings customers already buy. If you are selling second-hand clothes as an individual, this is the wrong channel, and Vinted is the better fit. If you are a registered business and Bunnings has already invited or approved you, the rest of this page explains what to expect and what FLUF Connect does with that approval.

What Bunnings Marketplace is

Wesfarmers first announced the marketplace in an October 2019 news release. At the time it was to be known as MarketLink, and Wesfarmers said it would give customers “access to an even wider range” of products. The categories it named were indoor furniture, whitegoods and kitchen appliances, home entertainment, kitchenware and homeware. Those were the categories when the marketplace was announced, and the range has changed since, so treat that list as a starting point rather than a current catalogue.

The marketplace has grown since. The 2024 full-year results say digital sales rose “supported by an expanded Bunnings Marketplace offering”. The 2025 annual report says the marketplace “continued to deliver double-digit sales growth”. Neither report gives a count of sellers or products, so you should not assume a size for the range you would be joining.

Who can sell

Bunnings decides who joins. The 2019 release said sellers would need to qualify for the Trusted Sellers Program, and that Bunnings was in talks with suppliers to join it. Expect an application, a check on your business and a seller agreement before anything goes live. Bunnings Marketplace is for registered businesses, not individuals.

FLUF cannot approve you. The Bunnings card in FLUF Connect is marked “Invite only” and reads “available by approval”. Until Bunnings has given you a seller account, there is nothing to connect.

What it costs

No published source gives Bunnings’ fees, so the only reliable figures are the ones Bunnings puts in writing for you. Before you sign, ask for the following in writing:

  • The commission for each category you plan to sell in
  • Any monthly fee, set-up charge or other fixed cost
  • When payouts are made
  • Who pays for delivery, and who handles returns

Build the commission into your Bunnings prices from the start. A price that works on your own site can leave you with less margin once a percentage is taken.

Using FLUF Connect with Bunnings

When Bunnings has approved your seller account, open the Channels screen in FLUF Connect, find the Bunnings card and choose “Already approved? Connect”. The card looks like this before you connect:

After that, FLUF Connect can list items from your inventory that are already in the Bunnings Marketplace catalogue. It matches them by barcode, so the barcode on your product needs to match the one in the catalogue. FLUF does not create new catalogue products, so an item that is not already there cannot be listed through FLUF.

When a barcode does not match

If an item you expect to see does not come up, the cause is almost always the barcode rather than the listing itself. Check that the number in your FLUF inventory is the full product barcode printed on the pack, with no digits dropped. Barcodes that start with a zero are easy to mangle when a spreadsheet strips the leading digit, so check any row you imported from a file. A product that is simply not in the Bunnings catalogue yet cannot be matched, and FLUF will not add it for you.

What FLUF does not do on Bunnings

FLUF does not see sales made on Bunnings. A sale there will not reach FLUF, so it will not end your listings on your other channels, and a sale on another channel will not remove the item from Bunnings. Handle Bunnings orders in your Bunnings seller account, and keep an eye on stock levels for any item you also sell elsewhere so that you do not sell the same unit twice.

Nothing on Bunnings is relisted or re-priced by FLUF, and FLUF does not manage offers there. If an item needs changing on Bunnings, make the change in your Bunnings seller account.

Before you apply

Bunnings will ask about your business and your range, and the approval conversation goes faster if you already have the basics together. Have these ready:

  • A registered business name and the details of the person who will manage the account
  • The product range you want to sell, with the barcode for each item
  • Product dimensions and weights, since large homeware and whitegoods are priced and delivered by size
  • Stock levels you can commit to, and how quickly you can dispatch orders
  • A returns process you can run yourself, because Bunnings customers will expect one

None of this guarantees approval. It does mean you can answer the questions quickly and avoid a slow back-and-forth.

Is it worth connecting?

It makes sense if your products are barcoded, already match items in the Bunnings catalogue, and you are comfortable managing Bunnings orders by hand. The connection saves you typing each listing, but it does not take over the order side of the business. If your main need is automatic order handling across several channels, a Bunnings connection on its own will not provide that.

If you already sell the same products elsewhere, decide early how you will split stock between channels. Without an automatic link to Bunnings, the simplest rule is to hold back a fixed quantity for Bunnings and check it against your Bunnings seller account at the start and end of each day. That keeps the risk of selling the same unit twice low, though it does not remove it entirely.

Pricing

You can start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month and then move to a paid plan. Plans start from the price shown on the pricing page, and crosslisting and inventory sync are included on every plan. Relisting, offers and smart pricing are available from the Pro plan up, and they are not offered on Bunnings Marketplace.

Next step

If Bunnings has approved your business, connect your seller account in FLUF Connect and check which of your barcoded items are already in the catalogue. Start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month and see how your matches look before you decide anything else.
