Sell on Reluv: no seller fee, buyer-paid postage and what you can list
What Reluv charges (nothing to sellers), who may sell, which categories it takes, how postage and payouts work, and what FLUF Connect does on Reluv.
- Reluv is a UK marketplace for pre-loved, new and handmade goods, run by Reluv Ltd, a London-registered company.
- There is no seller fee. You list at £14 and receive £14. Buyers pay a protection fee of 70p plus 6%, capped at £9.70.
- Postage is a prepaid tracked label that Reluv buys and the buyer pays for, from £2.99. UK addresses only, Northern Ireland included.
- Nine top-level categories, from womenswear and kids to books, homeware and pet supplies. Beauty must be new and unused.
- Payment is held by Stripe and released shortly after the 48-hour dispute window closes on delivery.
- FLUF Connect lists, edits and removes your Reluv listings, and takes one down when the item sells on another channel.
This guide is for UK sellers who already list on Vinted, Depop or eBay and want to know whether Reluv is worth a slot. The short answer: it costs you nothing to find out. Reluv takes no cut of the sale, the buyer pays the postage, and the listing form asks for the same photos, condition grade and size you already have. The limits are geography and scale. Only UK sellers and UK buyers can use it, and the site is young, so expect a smaller crowd than on the big three.
What Reluv is
Reluv (reluv.co.uk) is a marketplace for pre-loved, new and handmade goods across fashion, beauty, books, homeware, toys, pet supplies and craft. It is operated by Reluv Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17271596) with its registered office in Covent Garden, London. Its buyer protection page says it is a one-person company and that disputes are decided by the founder rather than a scoring system.
Its pitch to buyers is a held payment and a human decision when something goes wrong. Its pitch to sellers is simpler: no selling fee, a label you do not have to work out, and a Vinted import tool that reads the data export Vinted sends you and rebuilds your listings from it.
Most sellers on Reluv are private individuals. Registered businesses sell under a separate Trader badge with extra obligations, covered below.
What it costs to sell on Reluv
Nothing, on the seller’s side. Reluv’s fee page lists the selling fee as £0 and listing as free. The terms say the seller receives the full price they set, less any postage or carrier surcharge they are responsible for. The minimum item price is £2.
The buyer pays Reluv’s fee instead. It is a Buyer Protection Fee of £0.70 plus 6% of the item price, with the 6% charged on the first £150 only, so it never exceeds £9.70. The buyer also pays postage at checkout, priced by parcel size.
A worked example from the published numbers. You list a jacket at £40. The buyer pays £40 for the item, £3.10 in protection fee (70p plus 6% of £40) and postage of £2.99 or more depending on the parcel size. You receive £40.
| Item price | Buyer protection fee | What the seller receives |
|---|---|---|
| £10 | £1.30 | £10 |
| £40 | £3.10 | £40 |
| £150 | £9.70 | £150 |
| £300 | £9.70 (capped) | £300 |
Two costs can still land on you. If the parcel turns out heavier or bigger than the label you chose, the carrier charges a surcharge, and the terms say Reluv recovers it from your sale proceeds. And if you are a business seller, buyers can return within 14 days and your payout is held until the return is settled.
Who can sell on Reluv
You must be 18 or over and resident in the UK. A private account is for selling your own pre-loved items. The terms are explicit that anyone selling in the course of a trade, business, craft or profession must be approved as a Business Seller first, and that presenting a business as a private seller is a banned practice under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
If you buy to resell, sell at volume or already trade elsewhere, that means applying to become a Reluv Trader. The Trader account adds stock quantities, size and colour variants, per-item SKUs, bulk listing actions and batch label printing. It also obliges you to accept 14-day change-of-mind returns, with the buyer paying return postage. Your trading name, business address and contact email are shown to signed-in buyers.
Handmade items are for approved business sellers only, and Reluv’s rules for things you make are strict about branding. Nothing made from licensed or branded fabric, no cut-up branded clothing, no “inspired by” wording, and no using a band, team or celebrity name to sell a plain item.
What you can list
Items must fit one of the permitted categories: clothing and fashion for women, men and kids, beauty, books, home, toys, pet supplies, and craft and hobby supplies. Items can be new or pre-owned, and new items must be labelled as new. Each listing takes one of five condition grades: new with tags, new without tags, like new, good or worn.
Beauty has its own rules. Products must be brand new, unused and in their original packaging, within their usable life, and already placed on the UK market by someone else. You upload a photo of the ingredient and batch panel. Opened, swatched or decanted products, testers and samples are out. Aerosols, nail polish and nail polish remover cannot be shipped at all. Fragrance is the exception: a single bottle up to 150ml, sent with Royal Mail only, and it may be used if the listing says how full it is.
The usual prohibited list applies too: counterfeit and replica goods, unofficial merchandise, weapons, recalled or unsafe products, and anything the carriers will not carry.
Photos and descriptions
The terms set a few photo rules that FLUF sellers should check before they push stock across. The cover photo must be your own photograph of the actual item. Additional photos may be stock or manufacturer images as long as the listing is not misleading. Every listing needs at least one clear photo of the item’s label or tag. Photos must be in focus and well lit, and Reluv may ask you to improve them or remove the listing if they are not.
Describe condition, size, brand and any defect, however minor. Reluv’s own guidance to sellers is to pick a real condition grade and avoid vague wording.
Postage and dispatch
You do not buy a label. When an item sells, Reluv generates a prepaid tracked label through its shipping partners and the buyer has already paid for it at checkout. The buyer protection page names Royal Mail, InPost, Evri and Yodel as the carriers, with prices starting at £2.99 by parcel size. Craft and hobby parcels have a larger size band for things like yarn lots and fabric bolts.
Reluv ships only from and to UK addresses, including Northern Ireland. The seller sets a dispatch address in the UK and buyers need a UK delivery address.
The deadlines are fixed and published. Post within 5 days of the order being confirmed, or within 48 hours of payment for a next-day order, weekends included. The order updates when the carrier first scans the parcel; you do not mark it as shipped yourself. Miss the window and the order cancels and the buyer is refunded. Creating a label does not count as posting.
Reluv recommends filming yourself packing: one unedited take showing the item, the label and the box. It is optional, and it is your strongest evidence if the buyer opens a dispute.
When you get paid
Your money sits with Stripe until the order completes. Once delivery is recorded, the buyer has 48 hours to open a dispute. If they tap “Confirm item is OK” the window closes at once. Either way, the terms say the payout is initiated within a few hours of the window closing, and then settles to your bank.
If the carrier never records delivery, there is no automatic timer. From around 11 days after dispatch a person reviews the tracking and releases the funds if the parcel was clearly progressing. A parcel that entered the network and then stopped moving goes to a carrier investigation instead. Reluv gives sellers a lost-parcel guarantee capped at £150.
Disputes run on a clock too. The buyer opens one within 48 hours of delivery (14 days from a business seller) with up to ten photos or videos. You have 48 hours to respond, and if you say nothing it resolves against you. If you cannot agree, a person decides.
To receive payouts you set up a Stripe account from the Reluv seller settings, which asks for your date of birth, bank details and an identity document. Reluv also falls under the UK’s digital platform reporting rules. If your sales pass the reporting thresholds in a year, you will be asked for a National Insurance number or Unique Taxpayer Reference, and payouts can be withheld until you provide it.
Offers and bundles
Buyers can make an offer on any listing. You have 24 hours to accept or decline before it expires. Bundles are on by default: a buyer groups several of your items into one order with one postage charge, and nothing is sold until you confirm it within 48 hours. You can set bundle discounts, for example 10% off two items, or switch bundles off in shop settings. Buyers and sellers rate each other from 1 to 5 stars within 7 days of delivery.
Selling on Reluv with FLUF Connect
FLUF Connect lists your existing stock to Reluv and keeps it in step with everywhere else you sell. Open the Channels screen, choose Reluv and sign in to reluv.co.uk in the same browser. This channel runs through the FLUF browser extension on a desktop computer, so install it first.

Finish your Reluv seller setup before you connect. Reluv will not publish a listing until payouts, postage carriers and the seller declaration are done in its settings. FLUF tells you which one is missing, and keeps the listing as a Reluv draft with its photos so you can publish it once setup is complete.

| Inventory Sync | When an item sells elsewhere, FLUF takes it off Reluv for you. |
| Order Sync | Sales on Reluv are not detected automatically. Remove sold items from your other channels yourself. |
Day-to-day listing traffic for Reluv runs through the FLUF browser extension, so keep it connected.
Here is what that mix means for a Reluv seller. When a jacket sells on Vinted, FLUF takes the Reluv listing down so nobody buys it twice. When it sells on Reluv, nothing arrives in FLUF automatically, so mark it sold in FLUF yourself and the other channels follow. Title, description, price and condition changes made in FLUF go through to the live Reluv listing. FLUF sends up to ten photos per listing, sets the category, brand, size and condition from your product, and picks a parcel size from the product weight where you have one. Check the parcel size on the first few listings, because a surcharge for an undersized label comes out of your payout.
Crosslisting and inventory sync are on every FLUF plan. Relisting, offer management and smart pricing come in from the Seller plan upwards, and none of them apply on Reluv. You can start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month. FLUF connects to 72 marketplaces, so Reluv sits beside Vinted, Depop and eBay rather than replacing them.
One practical note. Reluv’s buyer pays the fee and the postage, so the price you set is what you receive. If your Vinted and Depop prices already allow for a seller fee, you can list the same item on Reluv at the same price and keep more of it, or price a little under the others and let the lower total win the sale.
