Key takeaways

  • Finish your payout setup on Wadded before your listings go live.

Wadded is for UK sellers who want another outlet for pre-loved and new stock, and who are happy to sell in pounds. Wadded names fashion, tech, home, beauty, books and toys as its main categories. It is not the place for cosmetics or handmade goods if you list through FLUF, because FLUF cannot send those to Wadded. Wadded is also new. Its company was incorporated on 24 August 2026 and the site does not publish buyer numbers, so treat it as an extra channel next to the sites you already use, not a replacement for them.

What Wadded is

Wadded describes itself as a friendly UK marketplace for buying and selling new and pre-loved finds. Its terms say it is a peer-to-peer marketplace operated by Wadded Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17416128, with its registered office in Covent Garden, London. Companies House lists the company as active and a private limited company, incorporated on 24 August 2026.

What it costs to sell

Wadded does not take a platform fee from your item price. Its earnings guide says sellers are not charged a platform fee on item price, and that your payout tracks your listing price in full. If you are used to working out a percentage taken from each sale, there is nothing to work out here: the price you list is the amount that reaches your wallet for a completed sale.

The fees you can see on a sale are paid by the buyer. Buyers pay a buyer protection fee at checkout, which funds Wadded’s dispute handling and protects purchases that never arrive or turn up significantly not as described. The earnings guide shows the current formula as 6% plus £0.40. In its worked example, a £24.50 item carries a buyer protection fee of £1.87, which the buyer pays on top of the item and the shipping. Shipping is charged to the buyer as well, and neither the fee nor the shipping reduces what you receive.

Wadded changes its fee rates from time to time. The checkout page and your account dashboard show the live figure, so check them before you set prices on a batch of stock.

How and when you get paid

Funds from a completed sale are credited to your Wadded wallet. From there you can withdraw to your linked bank account. The money is released once the order is complete, so a sale with an open claim waits until the claim is settled.

If you sell as a business, the timing is different. Wadded holds payouts from business seller orders for 14 days after delivery, to cover the buyer’s cancellation period. After that the money moves to your wallet and can be withdrawn. Your earnings are the listing price, so the wallet and the sales page are the places to check each sale. Use the wallet balance for what you can withdraw, not the total a buyer paid, because that total includes the buyer protection fee and shipping.

Postage, labels and dispatch

Postage runs through Wadded. The buyer pays the shipping at checkout, Wadded deals with the courier, and you print the label or show a QR code when you drop the parcel off. You do not buy postage from a courier yourself.

When you list an item, you declare a parcel size: Small, Medium, Large, X-large or XX-large. That size is what the buyer is charged for shipping at checkout. The courier bills Wadded on the parcel you actually hand over, not the size you declared, so a parcel that is bigger or heavier than its declared size costs more than the buyer paid. Wadded’s dispatch guide says that difference is your responsibility and comes off your payout for that sale. Pack to the size you declared, and weigh the parcel before you choose the size.

Label format depends on the courier. Royal Mail, Evri, DPD and FedEx need a printed label. InPost UK can use a QR code or a printed label. If you do not have a printer, you can set your parcel preference to QR code, and checkout will then offer only the options that work with it.

Dispatch has a deadline. Wadded’s dispatch guide asks you to post within five calendar days of payment, unless the sale shows a different deadline, and to keep proof of drop-off. An order still unshipped after its deadline is cancelled and refunded automatically.

Buyer protection and disputes

Buyers have 48 hours after confirmed delivery to report a condition, description, wrong item, damage or authenticity problem. A non-delivery problem can be raised after seven days in transit, or sooner if tracking shows a loss, a return or a delivery exception. Wadded says its 48-hour window does not shorten a buyer’s statutory rights, so the window does not close a genuine fault claim. Its buyer protection guide says sellers normally have 72 hours to respond to a claim.

Photograph the item before you pack it, and keep a note of the packing date and the tracking number. That is the evidence you will want if a claim arrives a few days after delivery.

Private seller or business seller

Wadded asks you to say which you are. Selling occasional personal items that you have owned and used does not count as trading. If you buy items to resell, make goods to sell, or sell on Wadded as a regular source of income, UK law treats you as a business however small the operation is. Trading from a private account breaks Wadded’s terms, so register as a business seller in Settings under Selling as a business. It takes a few minutes.

Business sellers also have to show their legal or trading name, a geographic trading address and a contact email on each listing. Wadded says this is a legal requirement under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you are VAT-registered, your listed prices must include VAT, and you must be able to produce a VAT invoice on request. Wadded reports seller activity to HMRC, but registering, declaring and paying any tax you owe stays your responsibility.

What you can sell

Wadded covers a wide range, from clothing and electronics to books, toys and home goods. Its terms list prohibited items, and you should read that section before you list anything unusual. Cosmetics need extra care. Wadded’s beauty guide says a cosmetic must be factory-sealed, unopened and within its printed durability date, and it does not allow anything decanted, remade or relabelled by the seller. UK cosmetics law also makes whoever first supplies a cosmetic to the UK market its legal Responsible Person, so you should not list a cosmetic you brought into the UK yourself.

Fragrance and nail polish are flammable, so some couriers will not carry them. Wadded’s guide says only some couriers are offered for those items. FLUF cannot list cosmetics or handmade items to Wadded at all, so if your stock is mostly beauty or handmade, use another channel for it.

The row that matters most day to day is the sales row. A sale on Wadded reaches FLUF Connect, and the item comes off your other channels, so you do not need to update each one by hand. The same works the other way: when an item sells elsewhere, FLUF takes it off Wadded. Relisting and offers are not available on Wadded, so if an item does not sell, you will need to change its details on Wadded yourself.

If you already sell on Vinted, Wadded also has its own import from a Vinted data export. It brings your listings in as drafts so you can review them before they go live. That import belongs to Wadded, so it runs separately from FLUF Connect.

Is it worth listing on Wadded?

Probably, if you have UK stock in fashion, home, books or toys and you want to try an outlet with no commission on the item price. Start with a small batch, watch how orders come in and how the buyer protection and shipping sit in each sale, and only then move more of your range across. Since Wadded does not publish buyer numbers, the best guide is your own sales over a few weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Wadded's earnings guide says sellers are not charged a platform fee on the item price, so your payout tracks your listing price. Buyers pay a buyer protection fee and shipping on top.

The label comes through Wadded's booking, not a courier account of your own. The buyer pays the shipping charge set by the parcel size you declare. If the parcel you post is bigger or heavier than the size you declared, the extra cost comes off your payout for that sale.

Funds from a completed sale go to your Wadded wallet, and you withdraw them to your bank from there. If you sell as a business, Wadded holds the money until the buyer's 14-day cancellation period has passed and no claim is open.

If you buy to resell, make goods to sell, or sell as a regular source of income, yes. Wadded's terms treat that as trading, and trading from a private account breaks them. Register as a business seller in Settings under Selling as a business.

No. FLUF Connect cannot list cosmetics or handmade items to Wadded. Wadded itself requires cosmetics to be factory-sealed and in date, so check its beauty guide before you list one.

No. Relisting and offers are not available on Wadded. Items sold on Wadded come into FLUF Connect and are removed from your other channels.

The sale is cancelled and the buyer gets their money back. Wadded gives you five calendar days from payment to post, or whatever deadline the sale itself shows, so keep proof of drop-off for every parcel.

Finish payout setup first, since listings stay offline until it is done. In FLUF Connect, open Channels, pick Wadded, then Connect Channel, and approve access once you have signed in.
