Vinted vs Wadded: Which UK Resale App Suits Your Stock?
An honest side-by-side of fees, boosts, shipping and FLUF support, so you can pick Vinted, Wadded or both.
If most of your stock is clothing, shoes or accessories that post easily, Vinted is still the place to start. It is the more established platform, and FLUF supports the most features for it: relisting, offers, sales coming back into FLUF and removing sold items from your other channels. Wadded is a newer UK marketplace that launched in 2026, with a smaller buyer base and fewer features through FLUF. Add it if you want a second UK home for pre-loved stock, or if you already have items there. For most UK sellers the practical answer is both, with one stock list in FLUF.
- Choose Vinted if you want the more established platform and you want relisting and offers through FLUF.
- Choose Wadded if you already sell there, or want a second UK channel and your stock fits its categories.
- Fees: Neither platform takes a selling fee from your item price. Buyers pay a protection fee on each platform, and it is a similar size on both.
- Boosts: Both let you pay to move a listing up. Costs and durations differ.
- Through FLUF: Vinted connects through the FLUF browser extension or mobile app. Wadded connects through Connect Channel and then approval on wadded.co.uk. Through FLUF, Wadded takes one item per listing, with no variants, and no cosmetics or handmade items.
Vinted and Wadded at a glance
Vinted has been running for much longer and is widely used for second-hand fashion. Wadded describes itself as a marketplace for new and pre-loved items across fashion, tech, home, beauty, books and toys. Its category list also covers sports, music and video, pet care, collectables and arts and crafts. Wadded Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 17416128.
The difference that matters most to a seller is where your stock fits. Clothing and accessories sit naturally on Vinted. Wadded’s wider category list suits sellers with books, toys, homeware or tech as well as fashion. Check which categories your stock falls into before you decide.
Fees: what you keep and what buyers pay
Vinted
Vinted says there are no fees for uploading your items or selling them on Vinted, and that what you earn is yours to keep. The buyer pays a Vinted fee at checkout. Vinted describes it as usually 3% to 8% plus £0.30 to £0.80, with VAT included, and says the exact figure depends on the item, the order value and whether the order is a single item or a bundle. The fee is shown in the order summary before the buyer pays.
Vinted pays you once the buyer confirms the order is fine. The sale money then sits in your Vinted balance.
Wadded
Wadded’s seller earnings guide says that sellers are not charged a platform fee on item price, so your payout tracks your listing price in full. The buyer pays a buyer protection fee and the shipping on top. Its worked example uses the current buyer protection formula of 6% plus £0.40. Funds released after an order completes go to your Wallet, and you then withdraw them to your bank.
Wadded is clear that buyer protection pays for dispute handling and platform safeguards. Its guide also says that you should use your payout and settled wallet activity for your records, not the bigger total a buyer sees at checkout.
A worked example at £24.50
Take a £24.50 item. On Wadded, the buyer protection fee on that price is £1.87, which is the figure in Wadded’s own example, and the buyer pays shipping on top. On Vinted, the fee is not a fixed formula you can calculate from the page, but the range Vinted publishes works out at about £1.03 to £2.76 for the same item. Wadded’s fee falls inside that range. Vinted’s actual figure is shown at checkout, so check it on a real item before you set your prices.
Neither platform takes a commission from the item price you set. The difference you will notice is in how the buyer fee is built and in when the money reaches you.
Listing on Vinted and Wadded
Both marketplaces let you list items yourself, but FLUF’s rules differ between them. On Wadded, every listing is a single item. Products with variations, such as several sizes or colours in one listing, cannot be sent through FLUF. FLUF also cannot list cosmetics or handmade items to Wadded. Wadded’s beauty guide explains that cosmetics have to be factory-sealed and pass an origin check before you list them.
If your Vinted wardrobe is the starting point, Wadded has an import tool for Vinted listings. You sign in to Wadded first, and then the tool brings your Vinted listings across. That saves retyping, but check the titles, photos and prices afterwards so they match what you are actually selling.
Boosts and paid visibility
Both platforms sell paid visibility, so you can compare the options before you pay for any of them.
On Vinted, a Bump is a paid feature you can add to a listing. It moves the item up in feeds and search for 3 or 7 days, or until it sells. You can only apply one Bump to an item at a time. The price is shown at checkout, and it depends on the item and the duration you choose.
On Wadded, boost prices depend on the item’s value. For items under £20, a 3-day boost costs £0.49 and a 7-day boost costs £0.99. For items from £20 to £100, the prices are £0.99 and £1.99. For items over £100, the prices are £1.99 and £3.99. Boosting three or more items together gets a 10% discount, five or more gets 15%, and ten or more gets 20%. Wadded also offers Shop Spotlight, which boosts all your active listings for 3 days at £4.95 or 7 days at £7.95.
Wadded’s Shop Spotlight may suit a shop with many active listings. For a handful of higher-value items, a per-item boost on either platform is the more direct option. Test one or two boosts on each platform and compare the views and sales you get before you commit to a pattern.
Buyers, reach and trust
Vinted is the more established of the two. Wadded is new and does not publish buyer numbers, and Vinted’s UK figure on its own would not tell you how your stock will do. Your own sell-through on each platform over a few weeks is the better guide.
Wadded sets out its buyer protection clearly. Its guides cover eligibility, a 48-hour window for reporting a problem, and what evidence it asks for. Read those before you sell, because they explain what happens when a buyer says an item is not as described. Vinted says its buyer fee pays for a safe, smooth experience, and its help pages explain the cover on each order.
Shipping
On Vinted, you print a prepaid shipping label, package the item and drop it off at a drop-off point within 5 days of the sale. On Wadded, shipping is charged separately to buyers, so it does not reduce your listing-price payout. Wadded’s seller guides include a shipping and dispatch playbook covering packaging, drop-off, tracking and delays.
On Wadded the parcel size you declare sets what the buyer pays for postage, and Wadded’s dispatch guide says a parcel that turns out bigger or heavier than declared costs you the difference. Keep the weight and dimensions on each item in FLUF accurate so the size is right first time.
Connecting Vinted through FLUF
You connect Vinted through the FLUF browser extension or the FLUF mobile app. Once it is connected, Vinted sales come back into FLUF and the item is taken off your other channels, and you can relist and send offers from the Pro plan up. The connection card in FLUF Connect looks like this:

Connecting Wadded through FLUF
To connect Wadded, open Channels in FLUF Connect, choose Wadded and select Connect Channel. Then approve FLUF’s access on wadded.co.uk by signing in to Wadded and allowing the connection. Wadded must have your payout setup finished before your listings can go live. Relisting and offers are not available for Wadded through FLUF.

What FLUF does on each channel
The table below sums up what FLUF does on each channel.
| Feature through FLUF | Vinted | Wadded |
|---|---|---|
| Relisting | Yes, from the Pro plan up | No |
| Offer management | Yes, from the Pro plan up | No |
| Sales detected and imported | Yes | Yes |
| Item removed when sold elsewhere | Yes | Yes |
| How you connect | FLUF browser extension or FLUF mobile app | Connect Channel, then approve on wadded.co.uk |
Relisting and offer management are part of FLUF plans from Pro (£29 a month) upwards. Crosslisting itself is on every plan. Compare the plan details on the pricing page.
Which should you choose?
- Choose Vinted only if your stock is mainly clothing and accessories, you want relisting and offers, and you do not want to manage a second marketplace yet.
- Choose Wadded alongside Vinted if you have a wider range of categories, such as books, toys or homeware, or you want another UK audience for items that have not moved on Vinted.
- Start with Wadded only if you are already established there, your stock suits its categories, and you can work without relisting and offers.
- Stay off Wadded for now if most of your items are cosmetics or handmade, because FLUF cannot send those to Wadded.
Selling on both through FLUF
FLUF connects to 71 marketplaces, and you can run Vinted and Wadded from the same stock list. Sales on either platform are picked up in FLUF, and the sold item is taken off the other. You can start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month, then plans from £9 a month. Relisting and offer management are included from the Pro plan up.
Connect your Vinted account through the extension or mobile app, connect Wadded through Channels, and set up Wadded payouts first, because listings cannot go live until they are finished.
Keep the stock list simple. Wadded takes one item per listing, so a multi-item bundle you have on Vinted cannot go to Wadded through FLUF as one listing. List those items separately if you want them on both. Titles, photos and prices can stay the same on both platforms, so you only maintain one set of details, and you can check that the item shows correctly on each channel after it goes live.
Watch the first few sales from each channel. Note which platform sells faster for each category, and adjust where you list new stock from that.
When you are ready, connect both channels in FLUF and try them on a few items before you move the rest of your stock.
