Sell on the Koçtaş Marketplace: Commission, Documents and How to Apply
What Turkish home-improvement retailer Koçtaş asks of marketplace sellers, the commission range reported for 2025, the documents for an application, and where FLUF Connect fits.
Key takeaways
- Koçtaş is a Turkish home-improvement retailer whose website opened to other sellers in 2023.
- It is for registered companies in Turkey. Private individuals cannot apply.
- Commission depends on the category and is reported at about 8% to 20%, excluding VAT and shipping, taken from your payout after each sale.
- Once Koçtaş approves you, you can connect your seller account in FLUF Connect and list stock whose barcodes are already in the Koçtaş catalogue. FLUF does not create catalogue products or import orders.
This guide is for a Turkish manufacturer, importer or shop that sells furniture, garden goods, tools, lighting or bathroom fittings and wants its range on koctas.com.tr. If you sell second-hand items as an individual, Koçtaş is not the route; Trendyol or a classifieds site will suit you better.
What the Koçtaş marketplace is
Koçtaş runs home-improvement stores across Turkey. When it opened koctas.com.tr to other sellers in June 2023, its general manager told Capital that the site held 100,000 products from 316 sellers, with a target of 500,000 products and more than 1,000 sellers by the end of that year. The first year focused on furniture, garden, bathroom, kitchen, heating and decoration.
The same announcement set out what marketplace customers get from Koçtaş itself: delivery to the door or click and collect in its stores, instalment payments, and access to marketplace products from ordering screens inside the stores. That store network is the difference from a general marketplace. A shopper standing in the garden aisle can order your barbecue from the screen next to it.
Categories that fit
A guide from e-invoicing provider BirFatura, updated in October 2026, lists the categories that sell best for marketplace sellers:
- Furniture: wardrobes, bedroom sets, desks
- Garden and balcony: seating, planters, barbecues
- Hardware and hand tools: drills, screwdriver sets, paint supplies
- Home decoration: pictures, mirrors, home textiles
- Lighting and electrical: ceiling lights, bulbs, sockets and switches
- Bathroom: cabinets, taps, shower enclosures
Commission
The same BirFatura guide gives a 2025 commission range of about 8% to 20%, depending on category. VAT and shipping are not included in those percentages, and the commission is deducted from your payout once a sale is made. It reports no store-opening or listing fee. Koçtaş links a commission list from its seller sign-up page, and that list is the figure to price from, because the rates change from time to time.
| Charge | What is reported |
|---|---|
| Commission | About 8% to 20% by category, excluding VAT and shipping |
| How it is collected | Deducted from your payout after each sale |
| Store-opening or listing fee | None reported |
On a 4,000 TL garden set in a 15% category, that is 600 TL to Koçtaş before you pay for delivery.
Who can apply and what you need
Koçtaş takes companies only: a sole proprietorship (şahıs şirketi), limited company or joint-stock company. The application asks for:
- Tax certificate (vergi levhası)
- Signature circular (imza sirküleri)
- Your company’s entry in the Turkish Trade Gazette (ticaret sicil gazetesi)
- MERSİS number
- KEP registered email address
- Bank account details for payouts
You apply online through the “Koçtaş’ta Satıcı Ol” page (“Become a seller at Koçtaş”), giving your company details and the categories you want to sell in. Koçtaş says it replies within 30 days. Having every document ready before you start makes that faster.
Using FLUF Connect with Koçtaş
On the Channels screen in FLUF Connect the Koçtaş card is marked “Apply to join” and covers one country, Turkey. The button on the card takes you to the Koçtaş application. Once you are approved, choose “Already approved? Connect”.

FLUF can then list items from your inventory that already exist in the Koçtaş catalogue, matched by barcode. A seller who also lists on Trendyol can offer the same units on Koçtaş without typing them in again.
| Task | On Koçtaş through FLUF Connect |
|---|---|
| Apply and get approved | You do this with Koçtaş |
| Connect your approved seller account | Yes, from the Channels screen |
| List stock the catalogue already holds, by barcode | Yes |
| Create new catalogue products | No |
| Detect sales or import orders | No. Handle orders and invoices in your Koçtaş seller account. |
| Relisting or offer management | No |
Because FLUF does not see Koçtaş orders, a sale there does not lower your stock elsewhere by itself. When an order uses your last unit, mark the item sold in FLUF so it comes down from the other marketplaces you sell on.
What FLUF costs
Crosslisting and inventory sync are on every FLUF plan, from Starter upwards. Plans are on the pricing page, and you can start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month.
