Sell on Leroy Merlin: marketplace rules, costs and the 24-hour order window
Approved home-improvement merchants only. A monthly subscription plus commission, 24 working hours to confirm each order, and how the first-shown offer is chosen.
7 days for £1, then from £9/month.
- Leroy Merlin, the French home-improvement chain, lets third-party merchants sell on leroymerlin.fr next to its own range. The French marketplace is run by a group company, ADEO Marketplace Services, and the sale contract is between you and the customer.
- Leroy Merlin is paid by a monthly subscription from every listed merchant plus a commission on each sale. Its services terms, with the amounts, are sent to you before you register rather than published.
- When an order arrives you have 24 working hours to confirm or cancel it. You deliver it yourself unless the product page says it is shipped by Leroy Merlin, and in France deliveries go to mainland addresses only.
- Where several merchants sell the same product, the offer shown first is chosen on in-store availability, then total price with delivery, then delivery time.
- FLUF Connect does not get you accepted. Once Leroy Merlin has approved your account, you can connect it and list items that are already in its catalogue, matched by barcode.
This page is for a business that sells DIY, garden, bathroom, kitchen, lighting, tools or building products and wants them on the site French customers use to plan a renovation. A tool importer, a garden furniture brand or a lighting wholesaler fits; a private seller clearing a garage does not, and is better served by Leboncoin. Everything below comes from Leroy Merlin’s own marketplace terms for leroymerlin.fr (the version in force from 18 June 2026), read in October 2026.
How the Leroy Merlin marketplace is set up
On leroymerlin.fr, products labelled “LEROY MERLIN” are sold by Leroy Merlin France. Everything else marked “vendu et expédié par” a merchant name comes from the marketplace. The marketplace terms name the operator as ADEO Marketplace Services, a company registered in Lille, and describe its role as a host: it provides the meeting place, but “the sales contract is formed only between the customer and the merchant”. The merchant is responsible for the sale and for any complaint arising from it.
Two consequences follow. You must supply your own general terms of sale when you are listed, and they must contain everything French consumer law requires. And each merchant has a public page, reached by clicking its name on a product, showing its shipping methods, return policy and take-back arrangements.
The marketplace also accepts used and refurbished goods, shown with a “Seconde vie” tag. The terms make the merchant solely responsible for the refurbishment and for how the item is described.
The French site is not the only one. When Leroy Merlin opened its Spanish marketplace in November 2022, Forbes Spain reported that it was the group’s third in Europe after France and Italy, starting with about 150 sellers chosen by the company. The FLUF Connect card for Leroy Merlin lists four countries: France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Joining and what it costs
Registration as a merchant, and the contract between you and the operator, are governed by separate services terms that the marketplace terms say are “available on request” and are “sent to the merchant before registration”. Leroy Merlin selects who it lists, so treat it as an application rather than a sign-up.
The money side is stated plainly: the operator “is paid by a commission taken on sales of products bought by customers from merchants and by a monthly subscription paid by every listed merchant”. The amounts are in the services terms, not on the public site. Ask for the commission for each category you plan to sell before you commit, because a margin that works for paint may not work for power tools.
Customers pay by card (CB, Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or PayPal, and are charged when they place the order. Payments to merchants go through a licensed payment provider appointed by the operator. Each January the operator sends every merchant a statement of its transactions and turnover on the marketplace for the previous year, as French tax law requires.
How orders work
| Step | What the terms say |
|---|---|
| Order received | The operator passes the order to you. You must confirm or cancel it within 24 working hours (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). |
| Out of stock | If you cancel in that window because the product is unavailable, the customer is refunded. |
| Order final | When you email the shipping confirmation. |
| Delivery | You deliver, using the methods and prices in your offer. Home delivery is to the doorstep by default. Deliveries in France are to mainland addresses only. |
| Shipped by Leroy Merlin | Some offers read “sold by [merchant], shipped by Leroy Merlin”. You stay the seller, and Leroy Merlin handles logistics and delivery for you. |
| Late dispatch | You must tell the customer by email, and the customer may cancel under French consumer law. |
| Returns | Customers have 14 days from receipt to withdraw, with no reason needed, and pay the return postage unless the item was shipped by Leroy Merlin. |
The 24-hour rule is the one that catches sellers who list the same stock in several places. An order you cannot confirm because the item sold yesterday on another site becomes a cancellation on your record.
Which offer the customer sees
Several merchants, or Leroy Merlin itself, can offer the same product. The terms list the factors that decide the offer shown first, in this order: immediate availability in a store (stock or two-hour click and collect), price including delivery, delivery time, and finally how recent the offer is. A marketplace merchant cannot win the first factor, so on a contested product you compete on total price and speed. For search and category pages, the ranking favours products that match the search and that customers engage with; product recommendations draw on sales, add-to-basket and page views.
After a purchase, customers may be emailed an invitation to review the merchant and the product, so delivery speed and how you handle problems show up on your page.
Using FLUF Connect with Leroy Merlin
Leroy Merlin approves merchants. After that, you connect your merchant account from the Channels screen in FLUF Connect. FLUF can then list items from your inventory that already exist in Leroy Merlin’s catalogue, matched by barcode (EAN), and keep their price and stock aligned with your other channels.

| Task | On Leroy Merlin through FLUF Connect |
|---|---|
| Apply and be accepted as a merchant | You do this with Leroy Merlin |
| Connect your merchant account | Yes, from the Channels screen |
| List items already in Leroy Merlin’s catalogue, matched by barcode | Yes |
| Create new products in Leroy Merlin’s catalogue | No |
| Detect Leroy Merlin orders | No. Confirm and ship them from your merchant back office. |
| Relisting or offer management | No |
Confirm each Leroy Merlin order in your back office within the 24 working hours, then mark the item sold in FLUF so its other listings end. If the item goes on another channel first, FLUF removes the Leroy Merlin offer, which is what keeps you on the right side of that 24-hour rule.
Leroy Merlin is a business channel. FLUF plans for businesses selling on several retail marketplaces are on the pricing page.
