Key takeaways

  • Bauhaus opened its own marketplace in Germany in August 2025 for DIY and home-improvement products from partner sellers.
  • It vets partners on proven trading experience, product quality, customer reviews and certifications, and keeps checking with spot tests.
  • Partners ship orders and handle returns themselves. Bauhaus charges a fee and gives the terms during onboarding.
  • Its buyers are DIY customers and professional trades.
  • Once approved, you can connect your seller account in FLUF Connect and list stock whose barcodes are already in the Bauhaus catalogue. FLUF does not create catalogue products or import orders.

This guide is for an established seller of tools, building supplies, garden or home-improvement products with a track record online. A new seller without reviews, or a private person clearing out a workshop, is unlikely to get in. For that, try Kleinanzeigen or eBay.

What the Bauhaus marketplace is

Bauhaus is a DIY and building-supply chain. According to GABOT, writing in October 2025, the marketplace on bauhaus.info went live at the start of that August and lets partner sellers offer DIY and home-improvement products to its customers for a fee. In January 2026, neuhandeln reported that thousands of products were being added and that partner goods stay with the partner until they sell.

Two kinds of buyer shop there: people doing their own projects at home, and professional tradespeople buying for work. A range that serves both, such as fixings, power-tool accessories or sanitary parts in trade quantities, makes the most of that mix.

How Bauhaus chooses partners

GABOT lists the points Bauhaus checks before it accepts a seller:

  • Trading experience you can prove.
  • The quality of your products.
  • Your customer reviews.
  • Certifications for your products.

The checks continue after you join, through spot tests. Treat your review score and your product documentation as part of the application. A seller with a strong rating on another marketplace and the paperwork for anything electrical or safety-related goes in with a better case.

Shipping, returns and fees

You dispatch each order and deal with returns yourself. For heavy or bulky goods, price in the freight and a return before you commit a product line, because both costs are yours.

Bauhaus charges partners a fee but does not publish the amount. Ask for the full terms, including any commission by category, before you sign.

Is it right for you?

It suits a business with barcoded DIY or home-improvement products, a review history, the certificates for what it sells and its own delivery set-up. It suits less well a seller with used or unbranded stock, or one that cannot show a trading record.

Other DIY retailers with marketplaces are covered in the guides to OBI, Leroy Merlin, Castorama and B&Q. For the wider market, see selling in Germany.

Using FLUF Connect with Bauhaus

Bauhaus approves its own sellers, so FLUF has no application link for it. On the Channels screen in FLUF Connect its card is marked “Invite only” and covers one country, Germany. Once Bauhaus has accepted you and your products are in its catalogue, choose “Already approved? Connect” on the card.

FLUF can then list items from your inventory that already exist in Bauhaus’s catalogue, matched by barcode. Stock you already manage in FLUF for Amazon or your own WooCommerce shop can be offered here without typing it in again.

FLUF does not see Bauhaus orders, so a sale there will not lower your stock elsewhere on its own. When an order takes your last unit, mark it sold in FLUF and it comes down from the other marketplaces you list it on.

FLUF’s plans for businesses selling on several channels are on the pricing page. Start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month to see the Channels screen with your own stock.
