Key takeaways

  • Auchan, the French hypermarket group, runs a marketplace on auchan.fr where approved European businesses sell non-food products under their own name.
  • To apply, you email Auchan your company details, including your SIRET and intra-EU VAT numbers, the categories you sell and the other marketplaces you already use.
  • Fees are agreed privately in each seller’s membership conditions, with no public rate card, and paid “Vu en catalogue” placement costs extra.
  • On a product several sellers carry, the results list shows just one offer: the lowest item price, with postage left out of the comparison.
  • An approved seller can connect their account in FLUF Connect and list stock whose barcodes already exist in the Auchan catalogue. FLUF does not create catalogue products and does not import Auchan orders.

This guide is for a business selling new goods for the home, garden, leisure or tech that wants to reach shoppers who already buy their groceries from Auchan online. It is built on Auchan’s “Devenir vendeur Marketplace” page and its marketplace terms of use, updated on 26 October 2023, both read in October 2026. If you sell used items as a private person, Leboncoin or Vinted will be quicker to start.

What the Auchan marketplace offers a seller

Auchan’s seller page makes three claims about reach: auchan.fr is among the 20 most visited sites in France, with more than 23 million visits a month; it was voted customer service of the year for 2025 in the general and marketplace online retail category; and the group has more than 700 stores in France. The marketplace has been running for a decade. Auchan opened it in August 2015, Journal du Net reported.

The audience is the important part. Many auchan.fr visitors come to order groceries for home delivery or drive collection, and marketplace products appear in the same search results, labelled “Vendu par” with the seller’s name. A shopper looking for a garden hose or a printer cartridge can add yours to a basket they were filling anyway.

Who can sell and how to apply

The seller page lists four conditions. You are a European professional. You run a responsive, good-quality customer service. You can handle customer orders efficiently. And you share Auchan’s values, with quality products that fit its range.

There is no online form. You send a request to Auchan’s marketplace partnership address with your company name, SIRET number, intra-EU VAT number, registered address and country, a contact name, phone and email, the categories you offer, your website, and the marketplaces you already sell on with links to those shops. That last item tells you Auchan expects marketplace experience; a seller with a track record elsewhere has an easier case to make.

Fees

Auchan does not publish a rate card. Article 5 of the terms says the use of the marketplace by partner sellers is paid for at an amount defined in the membership conditions they sign, and that this payment has no effect on ranking. The one exception is paid visibility: offers marked “Vu en catalogue” may be promoted on results pages because the seller has paid Auchan an additional fee to appear in its catalogue. Ask for the commission on each of your categories, any subscription, the payout schedule and the price of “Vu en catalogue” in writing before you sign.

How offers are ranked, and why price matters most

By default, results are ordered by relevance to the shopper’s search, using criteria such as the number of visits, the number of sales and promotions. Shoppers can re-sort by best sellers, price, discounts or brand.

One rule in the same article shapes your pricing more than any other. When a product is sold by several partner sellers, only the cheapest offer, by price before shipping, appears in the results list. The others are one click away, behind “Plus d’offres à partir de”. If you list a popular appliance that two other sellers also carry, being a few euros cheaper decides whether shoppers see you at all. Delivery charges are not part of that comparison, so a seller with a low item price and higher postage still takes the slot.

Price also needs care for another reason. In March 2026 a fryer from a marketplace seller appeared on auchan.fr at €75.71 instead of €378.99, Olivier Dauvers reported. Auchan said it had contacted the seller and was reinforcing its checks. A pricing error on a retailer this size gets noticed, and the seller carries the cost.

Delivery, returns and stock

Delivery is the seller’s responsibility. You commit to delivering by the date shown when the customer orders, and you email the customer when the parcel leaves, with tracking where the delivery method offers it. Offers are available only within the limits of your stock, and keeping availability up to date is your job.

Returns run directly between customer and seller. Under article 10, consumers have 14 days from delivery or collection to withdraw, without giving a reason, and they contact you, not Auchan, to do it. If you offer a longer period, you state it on your shop page. Auchan’s own site footer promotes “30 jours pour changer d’avis” for its own products; the marketplace terms set the legal 14 days for partner sellers unless you choose to match Auchan’s promise.

Is Auchan right for you?

It suits an established business with new, barcoded products in everyday categories, competitive prices on popular items and a team that can answer French customers quickly. It suits less well a seller of one-offs, a business that cannot compete on price for the same product, or a first-time marketplace seller with no shops to point to. For other French retailers with a marketplace, read Sell on Carrefour and Sell on BUT.

Using FLUF Connect with Auchan

Auchan chooses its sellers, so there is no application link in FLUF. On the Channels screen in FLUF Connect, the Auchan card reads “Invite only, available by approval” and covers one country, France. Once Auchan has accepted you and your products are in its catalogue, choose “Already approved? Connect” on the card.

FLUF can then list items from your inventory that already exist in the Auchan catalogue, matched by barcode. A product without a barcode, or one the catalogue does not hold, will not list. Prices you set in FLUF go to Auchan with the listing, so check them against the other sellers on the same product page before you publish.

Relisting or offer management No

Because FLUF does not see Auchan orders, a sale there does not reduce the quantity on your other channels. If the same coffee machine is also on Amazon, lower the stock yourself after each Auchan order, or keep a separate allocation for Auchan so you never promise a delivery date you cannot meet.

FLUF’s plans for businesses selling on several channels are on the pricing page. Start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month to see the Channels screen with your own stock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Auchan's seller page asks for a European professional with a responsive customer service, the ability to handle orders efficiently, and quality products that fit Auchan's range. Private individuals cannot sell there.

There is no online form. You email Auchan's marketplace partnership team with your company name, SIRET and intra-EU VAT numbers, registered address, a contact, the categories you sell, your website and the other marketplaces you already sell on, with links to those shops.

There is no public rate card. Commission and any subscription are agreed in the membership conditions you sign with Auchan. Offers marked “Vu en catalogue” are promoted because the seller paid an additional fee, so ask for that price too.

When several sellers offer the same product, only the cheapest offer by price before shipping appears in the results list. The other offers are reached through “Plus d'offres à partir de” on the product, so price decides visibility on shared products.

The marketplace terms give consumers 14 days from delivery or collection to withdraw, and they contact the seller directly. A seller can offer longer and must state it on their shop page.

Once Auchan has approved you, connect your seller account from the Channels screen and list items from your inventory that already exist in the Auchan catalogue, matched by barcode. Catalogue products are created with Auchan, and Auchan orders are handled in your Auchan seller account.
