How to Sell on the Decathlon Marketplace as a Sports Brand or Retailer
Who Decathlon accepts, how joining works, fulfilment and returns, and what FLUF Connect does once you are approved.
7 days for £1, then from £9/month.
- The Decathlon Marketplace lets selected brands and retailers sell sports products on Decathlon’s websites next to Decathlon’s own range.
- It is selective. Decathlon says it picks “the leading and most sought-after brands in the global sports market”, so this is a channel for registered businesses with sports stock.
- Decathlon started the marketplace in Belgium in December 2020. By 2025 it turned over half a billion euros across Europe and Asia.
- Once Decathlon approves you, FLUF Connect can link your seller account and list stock that already exists in Decathlon’s catalogue, matched by barcode.
This guide is for sports brands, distributors and specialist shops that hold stock with barcodes and want a bigger audience in Europe. If you sell second-hand clothing as a private seller, this is not your channel: Decathlon chooses its partners and works with businesses. Try Vinted or eBay instead.
What the Decathlon Marketplace is
Decathlon is the sports retailer most Europeans know from out-of-town stores and its own-brand kit. Its marketplace adds products from outside brands to the same website, sold and shipped by those partners. Decathlon’s partner page sets out the history: the marketplace launched in December 2020 in Belgium, grew 58% in 2024, and reached a turnover of half a billion euros in 2025. It now covers 20 countries, 14 of them in Europe.
Decathlon says it has more than 2,500 partners and that its European sites get 35 million visitors a month. Those visitors are already shopping for sport, which is the pitch: a running brand listed here sits in front of people searching for running kit.
Who can sell there
Decathlon does not run an open sign-up. Its partner page says it “carefully select[s]” partners and meets each one. The stock it wants is sports equipment and clothing from recognised brands. Repaired and reconditioned products are also welcome, and Decathlon has built categories for them under its Second Life banner.
In practice that means three things. You need a registered business. Your products need barcodes, because marketplace products are organised by catalogue entry. And you need to be able to ship to Decathlon’s standards in the countries you sell in, or pay Decathlon to do it for you.
Decathlon’s partner page does not publish commission rates or fees. You get the commercial terms during the application.
How joining works
Decathlon lists five stages, and says its teams guide partners through each one:
- Creating an account
- Legal registration
- Configuration of products
- Connecting your offer
- Go live
Once live, partners get personalised dashboards and a dedicated advisor. Decathlon also offers help with translations if you want to sell in more than one country.
Shipping, fulfilment and customer service
You choose whether to ship orders yourself or use Fulfilment by Decathlon. That service runs from a warehouse in Mannheim, Germany, which Decathlon says sends out 15 million items a year to 12 European countries.
Decathlon’s own customer service is the first point of contact for marketplace buyers in each country, and it contacts you when a problem needs the seller. Partner products also appear on the phones and tablets of Decathlon’s store staff, who can recommend them and sell them from the shop floor.
Returns
Decathlon’s UK help centre sets out what buyers can expect, and so what you must handle:
- Every marketplace item has a 30-day return window.
- Marketplace items cannot be returned to Decathlon stores. They go back to the partner.
- Standard returns cover unused items in their original packaging, under 20kg and smaller than 61 x 46 x 46cm. Larger items are collected, which the seller arranges.
- The seller processes the refund after receiving and inspecting the item, and Decathlon tells buyers this can take up to 10 working days.
Using FLUF Connect with Decathlon
FLUF Connect does one job on this channel. After Decathlon has approved you, you connect your Decathlon seller account from the Channels screen in FLUF. FLUF can then list items from your FLUF inventory that already exist in Decathlon’s catalogue, matching them by barcode.
| Task | On Decathlon through FLUF Connect |
|---|---|
| Apply and get approved | You do this with Decathlon |
| Connect your approved seller account | Yes, from the Channels screen |
| List items already in Decathlon’s catalogue, matched by barcode | Yes |
| Create new products in Decathlon’s catalogue | No |
| Detect Decathlon sales or import orders | No. Handle orders in your Decathlon seller account and keep stock in step yourself. |
| Relisting or offer management | No |
The value is in keeping one catalogue. If the same barcoded stock also sells on eBay, Amazon or your own Shopify shop, FLUF holds the product data in one place and lists it where it fits.
