What FLUF Instagram Does

FLUF Instagram lets you post products from your reseller inventory to your Instagram account, without leaving the FLUF Connect mobile app. You don’t have to download images, retype titles, or copy SKUs — you pick the items, build the post, and FLUF publishes it.

For sellers who use Instagram as a top-of-funnel channel — teasers, drops, behind-the-scenes shots, "new in" posts that point at your Depop, Vinted or Shopify store — this turns a 15-minute task into about 60 seconds.

Why Post Your Products to Instagram

Most marketplaces bury your listings in their own search algorithm. Instagram is one of the few channels where you own the audience — followers see your posts because they chose to follow you, not because an algorithm thinks they might be interested.

  • Highlights — pin product collections to your profile so first-time visitors see your best items immediately

How It Works (4 Steps)

  1. Connect Instagram — one-time OAuth handshake with your Instagram business account from the FLUF mobile app’s Instagram tab
  2. Find products — search your inventory by name or SKU. Tap items to add their images to your post carousel.
  3. Caption — write your own, or hit "Generate Caption with AI" and let FLUF’s listing assistant draft one based on the products. You can edit before posting.
  4. Post Now — FLUF publishes the carousel to your Instagram feed and drops the permalink into your activity log so you can find it later

AI-Generated Captions

The hardest part of consistent Instagram posting is usually the caption. FLUF’s AI assistant, which also powers in-app product refinement, will write one for you based on the products you’ve selected.

You can give it extra instructions — "mention free shipping", "talk to vintage Levi’s collectors", "keep it under 100 characters" — and the caption is editable before you post, so you stay in control of the final wording.

Building Carousels

Instagram carousels (multi-image swipeable posts) are one of the highest-engagement formats on the platform. FLUF’s carousel builder lets you:

  • Search your inventory by product name or SKU
  • Add images from multiple products into a single carousel — useful for "new in this week" or "designer denim drop" type posts
  • Upload from device as well, if you want to mix in a non-product photo (a flatlay, a try-on, an environment shot)
  • Reorder the slides before posting

Carousels are limited to Instagram’s own per-post image cap, so the builder will let you know if you’ve added too many.

Activity Log & Disconnect

Every Instagram post you make through FLUF is recorded in the activity log inside the Instagram tab — with the date, the products included, the caption, the post status, and a link to the live post. Useful for tracking what you’ve posted and avoiding duplicates.

You can disconnect Instagram from FLUF at any time with one tap. FLUF doesn’t keep a copy of your Instagram credentials — the connection is a standard OAuth token that you can revoke from your Instagram settings or from inside FLUF.

Requirements (Instagram Business Account)

FLUF Instagram requires an Instagram business or creator account, not a personal account. This is a Meta requirement — only business and creator accounts can be posted to via the Instagram Graph API. Converting from personal to business is free and takes about 30 seconds in Instagram’s settings.

You’ll also need to link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page (Meta requires this for business accounts). The Instagram tab in FLUF will guide you through both steps the first time you connect.
