Sell on 2dehands: Free Ads, bpost Shipping and Payment Requests for Belgian Sellers

How selling on 2dehands.be works in 2026: free 28-day ads, paid boosts, Bancontact payment requests with a €0.40 buyer fee, bpost labels from €7.10, and how FLUF Connect lists your stock there.

70+ marketplaces, one dashboard Auto inventory sync WhatsApp, email & in-app support

If you live in Belgium and sell second-hand goods to people nearby, 2dehands is the classifieds site most of your buyers already check. A basic ad is free and stays up for 28 days. Buyers can pay you with a Bancontact payment request in the chat, and you can post the parcel with a bpost label the site makes for you. It suits furniture, bikes, tools, electronics, toys and clothing. It is a Belgian site: bpost shipping through 2dehands only works inside Belgium, and FLUF Connect supports 2dehands for sellers based in Belgium.

In short

  • A basic ad is free and runs 28 days, renewed automatically up to three months.
  • Paid options push your ad up the results, priced by category.
  • Buyers pay a €0.40 service fee per payment request. You are paid by 18:00 the next working day once your bank account is linked.
  • bpost labels through 2dehands run from €7.10 (up to 2 kg) to €17.00 (20 to 30 kg), Belgium only.
  • FLUF Connect creates and edits your 2dehands ads from the same product you sell elsewhere, and takes the ad down when the item sells on another channel.

Is 2dehands right for your stock?

2dehands works best for items a Belgian buyer wants to see, collect or receive within a few days. Bulky things sell well because the buyer can pick them up, and smaller items can go by bpost. If your buyers are spread across Europe, you will also want an international site such as Vinted for clothing or eBay for collectibles and parts. If you sell to Dutch buyers, Marktplaats is the equivalent site in the Netherlands.

2dehands was founded in 1999 as one of the first classifieds sites in Belgium. It has 36 categories and, by its own figures, about 3 million visitors a month, from private people to small and large businesses (2dehands: Wat is 2dehands?). It is run by Marktplaats B.V., the Adevinta company behind Marktplaats in the Netherlands.

Dutch and French on one site

2dehands has a French-language side, 2ememain, and you can show one ad in both languages. When you place an ad, switch on “Zoekertje ook in het Frans” (ad in French too). Your title and description are translated automatically and you can correct the translation afterwards. You can turn this on or off per ad, including ads that are already live (2dehands: Zoekertjes in 2 talen). For a seller in Flanders, that is the simplest way to reach buyers in Wallonia and Brussels.

Placing an ad

An ad on 2dehands is called a “zoekertje”. The help centre’s steps for placing one (2dehands: Hoe plaats ik een zoekertje?) are:

  • Title and category. Put the main product details in the title. The site suggests a category, or you pick one yourself.
  • Photos. Up to 24, as JPEG or PNG.
  • Description. The first lines show in the search results, so lead with what matters.
  • Condition and attributes. Depending on the category, extra fields such as brand or size.
  • Price type and bids. With an asking price and “Bieden toestaan” (allow bids) switched on, the site sets a minimum bid of 60% of your price, which you can change.
  • Delivery. Collection, shipping, or both.
  • Ad type. Basic, Plus or Premium (see below).

An ad takes about ten minutes to appear on the site. The app can also scan a product barcode to fill in details, and save an unfinished ad as a draft.

What it costs to sell

A basic ad is free. It stays online for 28 days. Seven days before it ends, 2dehands emails you to ask whether the item is still for sale. If you do not answer, it renews the ad automatically the first three times. An ad that has been up for more than three months is removed unless you renew it yourself, and only free ads can be renewed (2dehands: Hoe verleng ik een gratis zoekertje?).

Everything else is a paid option to get your ad seen in busy categories, where new ads quickly push older ones down the list (2dehands: Zoekertjes promoten):

Option What it does Price
Plus ad type Top ad for 1 day from the moment you post Depends on category
Premium ad type Top ad for 7 days from the moment you post Depends on category
Topzoekertje (top ad) Stays above ordinary ads for 1, 3 or 7 days Depends on period and category
Direct omhoog (bump up) Moves the ad above ordinary ads until newer ads push it down again Depends on category
Omhoog bellen (bump by phone) The same bump, paid on your phone bill €2 per call
Homepagina-zoekertje Shown on the homepage and the category page for 3 days Shown when you buy
Fototopper Three photos in the results list for the life of the ad Shown when you buy
“Moet nu weg” sticker (must go now) A blue label for 7 days; buyers can filter on it Shown when you buy

You buy these from “Sneller verkopen” (sell faster) next to the ad in your list of ads. For most private sellers the free ad is enough. A paid boost makes sense in crowded categories, where new ads push yours down quickly.

Getting paid through 2dehands

You do not have to swap bank details with a stranger. In the chat, you send the buyer a “Betaalverzoek” (payment request) for the agreed price, and the buyer pays it with Bancontact. A payment request also appears automatically when you accept a bid or make a counter-offer. The buyer has 72 hours to pay, after which the request or bid expires (2dehands: Betaalverzoek met Bancontact via 2dehands).

  • Fee: the buyer pays a €0.40 service fee per transaction. You can take it off the agreed price if you prefer to absorb it (2dehands: Servicekosten).
  • Payout: by 18:00 on the next working day, once your bank account is linked and no extra check is needed.
  • Identity check: needed before payout for a request over €250, or once you reach 30 sales or €2,000 of sales in a calendar year, the thresholds of the EU DAC7 reporting rules.
  • Who runs it: the service is provided by Online Payment Platform B.V.

Cash on collection is still fine. The help centre suggests a payment request even then, so you are not handling large amounts of cash (2dehands: Hoe betaal en verzend ik veilig?).

Shipping with bpost through 2dehands

Once the buyer has paid a payment request, you confirm your return address and download a bpost label from the chat. It is also emailed to you. You drop the parcel at a post office, PostPunt, PakjesPunt or parcel locker, and both of you get the tracking code in the chat. The shipping cost is added to the agreed price, so you never pay for postage up front (2dehands: Hoe werkt Verzenden met bpost via 2dehands?).

Parcel weight bpost label through 2dehands
0 to 2 kg €7.10
2 to 5 kg €7.85
5 to 10 kg €8.65
10 to 20 kg €13.40
20 to 30 kg €17.00

Two limits matter. The service only ships within Belgium, and parcels cannot be sent registered or insured through 2dehands. For a valuable item, book insured shipping with bpost directly or ask the buyer to collect.

Worked example. You agree €35 for a winter jacket that weighs 1.2 kg. You send a payment request for €35. The buyer pays €35 plus €7.10 for the label and the €0.40 service fee, €42.50 in total. You receive €35 the next working day, and the ad itself cost nothing.

Private seller or business seller

New users must say whether they sell as a private person or as a business before they can place an ad. A business seller is anyone selling as part of a trade, for example someone registered with an ondernemingsloket (business registration office), selling for profit, or selling many of the same item. Buyers from a business seller have consumer rights such as the right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee; buyers from a private seller do not. You can switch from private to business on your profile, but not back, and posing as a private seller while trading is illegal (2dehands: Ben ik een zakelijke verkoper op 2dehands?). If you buy stock to resell at a profit across several sites, you most likely count as a business seller on 2dehands too.

Connecting 2dehands in FLUF Connect

Find 2dehands on the Channels screen. You will need the FLUF browser extension on a computer, or the FLUF mobile app on your phone, and to be signed in to 2dehands in the same place. If 2dehands asks you to set up its SMS security check, finish that on 2dehands before you connect.

Once connected:

  1. Pick the products you want on 2dehands from your FLUF inventory, including items you imported from Vinted or eBay.
  2. Check the category and condition FLUF suggests for each one, and add a brand or size where the category asks for it.
  3. Send them to 2dehands. Paid boosts and the French version are bought and switched on in 2dehands itself, from your list of ads.

Start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month.

Tips for selling on 2dehands

  • Use all the photo slots you need. 24 are allowed, and buyers who collect want to see marks and wear before they travel.
  • Keep the conversation in the 2dehands chat. The help centre warns that moving to WhatsApp or email raises the risk of phishing and scams.
  • Set your minimum bid on purpose. The automatic 60% floor invites low offers on items that sell easily.
  • Weigh before you agree a price. The step from 10 to 20 kg adds almost €5 to the buyer’s cost.
  • List in both languages if your item is easy to ship across Belgium.
