Crosslist TikTok Shop to Etsy: What Etsy Accepts, Fees and Sales Sync
Etsy only takes handmade, designed, vintage and craft-supply items. Check what fits, compare UK fees, and let a sale on either channel end the other listing.
- Most TikTok Shop stock cannot go on Etsy. Etsy wants things you made or designed, vintage of 20+ years and craft supplies. Resold new goods and wholesale lines are out.
- Etsy costs a little more per sale. On a £20 item with £3 postage, TikTok Shop commission is £2.07. Etsy’s percentage fees come to £2.73, plus a 0.20 USD listing fee.
- A sale on either channel ends the other listing. FLUF Connect detects sales on both, then ends or zeroes the matching listing on the other channel.

This route suits a small group of TikTok Shop sellers. Etsy’s Creativity Standards allow items made or designed by the seller, vintage items at least 20 years old, and craft supplies, plus a few narrow extras such as curated gift sets. If your TikTok Shop sells resale or wholesale stock, most of it cannot go on Etsy. If you sell things you make, print from your own designs, or source as vintage, read on.
Which TikTok Shop Items Etsy Accepts
Sort your catalogue before you connect anything. Etsy groups allowed items into a few types, and every listing has to fit one of them.
Made by you
Physical items you make by hand or with your own tools. Pottery thrown on a wheel and a chair built with a power saw both count. So do hand-altered and hand-assembled pieces, such as a denim jacket with patches you sewed on or a necklace you put together from bought charms. Items made on your own laser cutter, 3D printer or Cricut count too, as long as the design is yours.
Two things fail this test. A bought item with one mass-produced sticker added does not qualify, and neither does a kit assembled to the maker’s instructions. Listings in this group must use your own photos or video of the finished item. Etsy removes listings that break the policy, and you still pay the fees on them.
Designed by you
Your original designs, produced by a printer or maker you work with. A phone case printed with your own logo counts. A blank case bought in bulk and sold as it came does not. You must disclose the production partner and say where the item ships from. Items made with AI image tools from your own prompts are allowed if the description says AI was used.
Handpicked vintage
Pieces of 20 years or more that you collected yourself. Etsy may ask for extra photos or details on their source, age or maker. Etsy’s standards state that resold commercial items newer than 20 years do not qualify, even when they are made to look vintage. A retro-style lamp from a trade catalogue stays on TikTok Shop.
Craft supplies
Tools and materials whose main purpose is making something by hand, such as beads, yarn, fabric and stamps. Party supplies and items personalised with a buyer’s own text or image also sit in this group.
Gift sets and mystery boxes
A themed set of different items you picked yourself can qualify, with every item named in the description. Mystery boxes and boxes filled with one type of item in bulk do not. If you sell mystery boxes on TikTok Shop, keep them there.
Anything outside these groups stays on TikTok Shop alone. If that is most of your stock, a broader channel such as eBay is the better second home.
TikTok Shop UK and Etsy UK Fees Compared
TikTok Shop UK charges a 9% commission, VAT included, on net sales plus the postage the customer pays. Some Electronics and Beauty and Personal Care products, new sellers and sellers who complete Seller Missions can get a lower rate.
Etsy splits its charges into four lines for a UK seller:

Worked example: a £20 ring with £3 postage
On TikTok Shop, 9% of £23 is £2.07.
On Etsy, the transaction fee is £1.50, payment processing is £1.12 and the regulatory operating fee is 11p. That totals £2.73 before the 0.20 USD listing fee, which Etsy converts to pounds.
The gap is under £1 an order. On most handmade and vintage pieces, the fee difference matters less than which buyers want the item.
Setting Up TikTok Shop to Etsy in FLUF Connect

A TikTok Shop listing often leans on a video to show size, shine and packaging, so the text can be short. Etsy shoppers arrive by typing a search, then read the page with no video to help.
Titles. Lead with what the item is and what it is made of. “Sterling silver stacking ring, hammered finish” gives a searcher more than a hook line from a clip.
Descriptions. Add measurements, materials, care notes and what arrives in the box. For vintage, give the decade and describe any wear. For supplies, state the quantity and weight.
Photos. Stills cut from a video can look soft. Put a sharp, well-lit shot of the item first, then add scale shots and close-ups.

What FLUF Connect Does When Something Sells
FLUF supports UK TikTok Shop sellers. Both channels report sales to FLUF, and FLUF can end or zero a listing on both. So a sale on TikTok Shop ends the Etsy listing, and an Etsy sale ends the TikTok Shop one. This matters most for one-off vintage pieces, where there is no second unit to send.
