Wallapop to BigCommerce: Sell Beyond Spain, Italy and Portugal
Why a Wallapop seller opens a BigCommerce store, what each side costs, how FLUF Connect fills the store from your Wallapop listings, and keeping stock in step.
Wallapop is where Spanish, Italian and Portuguese buyers go for second-hand goods, and for a seller with good stock it can be enough. It stops at those three countries, though, and every sale starts with a chat and often a haggle. A BigCommerce store is the opposite: your own shop at fixed prices, open to any buyer you can ship to. FLUF Connect fills the store from your Wallapop listings, and a Wallapop sale takes the item off the store’s stock.
In short
- Wallapop charges sellers no commission to list or sell. Buyers pay shipping and Wallapop’s protection cost.
- BigCommerce costs from $39 a month ($29 billed annually), plus card processing. It suits sellers with repeat buyers or buyers outside Spain, Italy and Portugal.
- A Wallapop sale comes into FLUF and your store’s stock goes down.
- A store sale comes into FLUF too, but FLUF cannot end the Wallapop listing. Delete it on Wallapop yourself.
Why a Wallapop seller opens a store
Wallapop’s terms of use say it currently operates only in Spain, Italy and Portugal. That is a large market, but a vintage or collectables seller in Valencia whose best buyers are in France, Germany or the Netherlands cannot reach them through Wallapop. A store can sell to them.
The second reason is regulars. Sellers who stock one niche well, such as retro consoles, film cameras or mid-century lighting, end up with buyers who check back every week. A store lets them browse everything at once, at your prices, without negotiating in a chat.
If neither applies and all your buyers come from Wallapop’s own app, a store’s monthly fee is money you will not get back. Start with Wallapop’s audience and add the store when people start asking where else they can buy from you.
What each side costs
Wallapop’s seller FAQ says listing and selling are free: it charges no commission for posting an item or for completing the sale. On a shipped sale, the buyer pays the handling cost, Wallapop’s protection cost and shipping. Its shipping page adds that shipping is free for the seller unless you ask for a home pickup. Under the terms, a shipped sale’s money reaches your Wallapop wallet once the buyer confirms, or at the latest 48 hours after the carrier reports delivery.
BigCommerce’s pricing page lists Core at $39 a month ($29 billed annually), Growth at $105 ($79) and Scale at $399 ($299), each with an annual sales ceiling. Card processing starts at 2.89% + $0.29, and stores using an outside payment provider pay a further 2%, 1% or 0.6% depending on plan.
| Wallapop | BigCommerce store | |
|---|---|---|
| Fixed cost | None | From $29 a month, billed annually |
| Cost per sale to the seller | No commission | Card processing, from 2.89% + $0.29 |
| Buyers | Spain, Italy and Portugal, through Wallapop’s app | Whoever you bring, anywhere you ship |
| Price | Usually negotiated in chat | Fixed, set by you |
Wallapop is cheaper per sale. The store costs money every month and earns it back only from buyers Wallapop could not reach.
How to send Wallapop listings to BigCommerce
- Connect Wallapop in FLUF Connect. You sign in to Wallapop once, in the FLUF browser extension or the FLUF mobile app, and your listings appear in your FLUF inventory.
- Connect your BigCommerce store from the Channels screen.
- Filter the inventory to Wallapop and select the items you want in the store.
- Choose BigCommerce as the destination, check the prices and publish.

Your Wallapop photos, title, description and price go to the store as a product. Two things are worth checking before you publish a batch:
- Language. Wallapop listings are often written in Spanish or Italian for local buyers. If the store is for buyers elsewhere, translate the titles of your best items.
- Price. A Wallapop price usually leaves room for an offer. A store price is final, so you can often set it a little lower than the Wallapop asking price and still end up with more.
Keeping stock in step
| What happens | Result |
|---|---|
| Item sells on Wallapop | FLUF picks up the sale and your store’s stock goes down |
| Item sells on your BigCommerce store | FLUF picks up the order. Delete the Wallapop listing yourself, since FLUF cannot end it |
| Relisting on Wallapop | Available through FLUF on Pro and above |
| Offers | Not managed through FLUF on Wallapop |
The gap is a store sale. Until you delete the Wallapop listing, a Wallapop buyer can still message you or buy the item. When a store order arrives, take the Wallapop listing down before you pack the parcel.
What FLUF costs
Crosslisting, inventory sync and order sync are on every FLUF plan, from £9 a month for Starter. Relisting, offer management and smart pricing come with Pro and above. You can start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month.
