Wallapop to Stripe: Take Card Payments at the Handover

How Wallapop sellers in Spain use Stripe Payment Links for sales in person and buyers abroad, what each costs, and how to keep stock right after a sale.

70+ marketplaces, one dashboard Auto inventory sync WhatsApp, email & in-app support

A Wallapop sale agreed in chat often ends with a meeting in a car park and a buyer without enough cash. Stripe gives you a card checkout for that moment: the buyer scans a QR code, pays on their own phone, and you see the payment before you hand the item over. FLUF Connect makes a Stripe product and Payment Link for each Wallapop item you send, so the code exists before you leave the house.

In short

  • Use Stripe for sales in person and for regular buyers outside Wallapop’s three countries. Keep Wallapop Envíos for ordinary shipped sales.
  • Wallapop charges no commission. Stripe in Spain charges 1.5% + €0.25 on a standard European card, with no monthly fee.
  • A Wallapop sale comes into FLUF and the Stripe link switches off.
  • A Stripe payment does not reach FLUF. Mark the item sold in FLUF and delete the Wallapop listing.

When a Wallapop seller needs Stripe

Two situations come up. The first is the handover: furniture, bikes and anything else the buyer collects. A card payment settles it without counting notes or waiting to see a transfer arrive. The second is the buyer Wallapop cannot serve. Its terms of use say it operates only in Spain, Italy and Portugal, so a collector in France who has seen your stock needs another way to pay. You can send that buyer a link.

If your buyers are happy with Wallapop Envíos, carry on with it. Wallapop arranges the shipping and holds the money until the sale completes, which a Payment Link does not do for you.

What each side costs

Wallapop’s seller FAQ says it charges no commission for posting an item or completing a sale. On a shipped sale, the buyer pays the handling cost, the protection cost and shipping.

Stripe’s pricing page for Spain lists these standard rates, with no monthly fee, and creating Payment Links is included:

Card used Stripe rate On a €120 bike
Standard European card 1.5% + €0.25 €2.05
Premium European card 2.8% + €0.25 €3.61
UK card 2.5% + €0.25 €3.25
Other international card 3.15% + €0.25 €4.03

Stripe adds 2% on UK and international cards when currency conversion is needed. A card dispute costs €20, and that fee is separate from any refund. For a nearby buyer with cash, neither platform costs anything, so offer the link only to people who want to pay by card.

How to send Wallapop items to Stripe

  1. Connect Wallapop in FLUF Connect. You sign in once, in the FLUF browser extension or the FLUF mobile app, and your listings appear in your FLUF inventory.
  2. Connect Stripe from its card on the Channels screen and approve the FLUF Connect app.
  3. Filter the inventory to Wallapop and select the items buyers are likely to collect.
  4. Choose Stripe as the destination, check the price and publish.

Set the price you agreed, or the price you will accept, before you go. Wallapop buyers often negotiate, and a Payment Link charges one fixed amount. A price change in FLUF creates a new link, so a QR code you saved earlier will no longer match. Stripe’s sharing guide shows where to download the current code.

After the sale

What happens What to do
It sells through Wallapop Nothing. FLUF picks up the sale and switches off the Stripe link
Buyer pays by the Stripe link Mark the item sold in FLUF, then delete the Wallapop listing yourself
Buyer pays cash in person Mark it sold in FLUF so the link stops working, then delete the Wallapop listing
You want to relist on Wallapop Available through FLUF from the Pro plan
A buyer makes an offer Answer it in Wallapop. FLUF does not manage offers on either side

The Wallapop listing stays live until you remove it, because FLUF cannot end it. Delete it during the handover, while the payment is on your screen, and nobody else will message you about an item that has gone.

What FLUF costs

Crosslisting and inventory sync are on every FLUF plan, from £9 a month for Starter. Relisting, offer management and smart pricing come with Pro and above. You can start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month.

Only if you update the price first. A Payment Link charges one fixed amount, and changing the price in FLUF creates a new link and QR code.

FLUF picks up the sale and the Stripe link stops taking payments.

Update FLUF by hand, because Stripe payments do not reach it: mark it sold there, then remove the listing on Wallapop.

No. It only takes the payment, so you agree delivery with the buyer yourself. Use Wallapop Envíos when you want shipping handled for you.
