Key Takeaways

  • This route is for UK Whatnot sellers with fashion, sneakers or streetwear who want a second live-selling audience on Tilt.
  • Tilt charges one fee, 2% + £0.50 per sale, with no commission and no monthly fee. Whatnot charges a commission on the item price plus payment processing.
  • Tilt pays out 5 to 7 business days after delivery for free, or faster for 1.5% or 3%.
  • FLUF sees sales on both apps and ends the listing on the other, so a piece sold in one show does not stay up in the other.

Who should add Tilt

Tilt describes itself as a fashion-first marketplace, and most of its sellers bring archive pieces, streetwear, sneakers, vintage, designer, retro sports, activewear or jewellery. If that is what your Whatnot shows are built on, Tilt’s buyers are looking for your stock.

Tilt also sells trading cards, coins and collectables, but a card breaker with no clothing will get less from it. It is only open to sellers based in the UK, Spain and Italy, and Tilt suggests starting with at least 15 to 20 items so a stream does not sell out in ten minutes.

How the fees compare

Tilt’s seller fee is a single 2% + £0.50 per transaction. There is no commission on top, no listing fee and no monthly or setup fee, and Tilt says it does not add category surcharges or seasonal mark-ups. On a £40 jacket you pay £1.30. On a £200 pair of trainers you pay £4.50.

Whatnot works differently. Its seller fees are a commission on the item price, excluding shipping and tax, plus a payment processing fee on the order. Check the current UK rates for your category in that article before you price, because Whatnot has been changing its commission structure in 2026. The gap between the two is widest on expensive pieces, where Tilt’s flat fee barely moves and a percentage commission keeps growing.

Getting paid

Tilt holds your money until the buyer has the item, then lets you choose the speed. Standard payouts are free and land 5 to 7 business days after delivery. Fast costs 1.5% and arrives the next business day. Instant costs 3% and takes about 30 minutes, even at weekends. If you are used to Whatnot’s payout rhythm, Standard will feel slower, so plan stock purchases around it or keep Fast for weeks when cash is tight.

Running shows on both

On both apps the buyer pays postage and you print a prepaid label. Tilt’s labels can be exported to Royal Mail or Evri, and if you change the parcel weight, any extra cost is yours. Tilt also lets you sell through short clips as well as live streams, which suits a seller who cannot go live every night.

Keep each audience on its own app. Whatnot’s community guidelines do not allow sending buyers to buy on another platform, so do not announce your Tilt show during a Whatnot stream. Run them on different nights instead, and let each app promote its own schedule.

What FLUF does on each side

Whatnot Tilt
How you connect FLUF browser extension FLUF browser extension
Publish listings from FLUF Yes Yes
FLUF sees a sale here Yes Yes
FLUF ends the listing here when it sells elsewhere Yes Yes
Relisting and offers No No

Live selling moves fast, and a one-off jacket can sell in a Tuesday Whatnot show while it is still queued for Thursday on Tilt. FLUF records the Whatnot sale and ends the Tilt listing, and the same happens the other way round. Before each show, check that the pieces you plan to run are still available on both apps.

Getting started

  1. Add the FLUF browser extension and connect your Whatnot account, then bring your stock into FLUF.
  2. Apply to sell on Tilt, set up a shipping profile, and connect your Tilt account through the extension.
  3. Pick the fashion, sneaker and streetwear pieces to send, with enough depth for a full stream.
  4. Price for Tilt’s flat fee, publish, and schedule your first Tilt show on a night you do not stream on Whatnot.
