Sell on Galeries Lafayette: Guide to the Paris Department Store’s Marketplace
How the Galeries Lafayette marketplace selects partners, what its terms ask of sellers, what it costs, and what FLUF Connect can list once you are approved.
- Galeries Lafayette, the Paris department store group, has run a marketplace inside galerieslafayette.com since 2013. Partner brands sell alongside the store’s own range, and each listing is labelled “sold and shipped by” the partner.
- Only registered businesses that Galeries Lafayette has selected and signed a partnership contract with can sell. There is no open application form.
- Each partner’s commission rate sits in its own contract. On top of that, the marketplace terms charge €49 a month (excluding VAT) for access to the partner portal once your products are live.
- An approved seller can connect their account in FLUF Connect and list stock whose barcodes already exist in the store’s catalogue. FLUF does not create catalogue products and does not import Galeries Lafayette orders.
This guide is for a brand or a registered fashion, beauty or home business that wants a place on galerieslafayette.com, or has already been offered one. It is a selective, business-only channel with French-language customer service written into its terms. If you sell one-off pieces from home, Vinted or eBay will take your listings today without a contract. The facts below come from the marketplace’s own terms of use, the group’s results and the French trade press, checked in October 2026.
What the Galeries Lafayette marketplace is
Galeries Lafayette is best known for its Boulevard Haussmann flagship in Paris. The online marketplace has been part of its e-commerce site for over a decade: in February 2013, FashionNetwork reported that the group planned to open its sales pages to other brands and retailers from that September, with the partners chosen by Galeries Lafayette itself.
That selective model still holds. At NRF Europe in September 2025, E-commerce Magazine quoted the group describing its marketplace as a natural extension of its offer, with the store’s own products and partners’ products sitting side by side. On the site, a partner’s item carries the label “vendu et expédié par” followed by the partner’s name, so shoppers can see who is selling and shipping it.
The group is large and its online business is growing faster than the whole. According to FashionNetwork’s report on the 2025 results, group revenue was €3.1 billion, level with 2024, the Paris flagship passed €2 billion on its own, and e-commerce grew 23% to pass €100 million, with a target of €200 million by 2030. The group did not break out how much of that came through marketplace partners.
Who can sell
The marketplace terms of use (version in force from 1 October 2020, the latest copy we could read) are clear on this: the service is open only to professional sellers that Galeries Lafayette has already selected and that have signed a commercial partnership contract with it. The contract sets the money, the length of the partnership and the product categories you may list. Adding a category later needs written agreement.
The same terms list what Galeries Lafayette looks at when it chooses and keeps a partner: how well the products answer what its customers want, whether they complement what the store already sells, product quality and reliability, the quality of product data and images against the site’s style guide, stock availability, delivery quality, and the standard of customer service. Partners must be able to supply enough stock to meet demand and must serve customers in French.
In FLUF Connect the Galeries Lafayette card reads “Invite only, available by approval”. There is no application link to give you, because Galeries Lafayette does not publish one. If you want in, the route is a conversation with the group’s marketplace team about your brand and your range.
Is this channel right for you?
It fits a brand or an authorised distributor with a stable range, product photography that can sit next to a department store’s own, a barcode on every size and colour, and the people to answer French customers within two working days. It fits less well a reseller of mixed stock, a business that cannot show it has the right to sell the brands it carries, or anyone whose dispatch and returns handling is not yet at a retailer’s standard.
Three questions settle it. Can you supply the same lines for a year, not a season? Will your margin still work after a commission you only learn during the negotiation, plus the monthly portal fee? Can you accept every order within a working day and handle returns at your own cost? If any answer is no, start on a marketplace where you control the listing and can leave without notice.
What it costs
Two charges are written into the terms. The first is a commission on each sale, calculated on the amount the customer paid in euros including VAT and shipping. Its rate, and when it is paid out, are set in your contract rather than on a public price list, so no figure is given here. The second is a fixed portal fee of €49 a month excluding VAT, charged from the day your products go live. Promotional placements on the site are paid separately and are marked “sponsored”.
Galeries Lafayette collects customer payments on your behalf as a payment agent and passes the money on under the payment-service contract you sign. Before you agree to anything, ask for the commission per category, the payout schedule, and the shipping-cost grid that will be attached to your contract, all in writing.
Service standards you sign up to
The terms set measurable standards, and they matter because the store can switch your products off without warning if you miss them. You must accept each order within 24 working hours and ship without delay unless the product page states a longer preparation time. Customer complaints are passed to you through the partner portal and need a response within 48 working hours. Returns are opened by the customer through their Galeries Lafayette account or customer service; you receive the item, check it, confirm the return in the portal, and the refund is paid by Galeries Lafayette and charged back to you.
Once you have 30 orders, three thresholds apply. If more than 5% of accepted orders have an open incident, if you accept fewer than 95% of orders, or if you cancel five orders in a row without good reason, your listings are suspended automatically until the rate recovers. Repeated problems can end the partnership 30 days after a formal notice.
You set your own prices, with one condition: they must be consistent with the pricing you apply on your other sales channels, and they must respect French rules on sales periods and selling at a loss.
Using FLUF Connect with Galeries Lafayette
Once Galeries Lafayette has approved you and your products are in its catalogue, connect your seller account from the Channels screen in FLUF Connect using “Already approved? Connect” on the Galeries Lafayette card. FLUF can then list items from your inventory that already exist in the Galeries Lafayette catalogue, matched by barcode.
An item without a barcode, or with a barcode the catalogue does not know, will not match, and FLUF does not create the catalogue product for you. Product set-up stays with you and the Galeries Lafayette marketplace team. Check the EAN on every size and colour before you connect, because a missing size in your product data is a missing size on the store.

| Task | On Galeries Lafayette through FLUF Connect |
|---|---|
| Get selected as a Galeries Lafayette partner | You do this with Galeries Lafayette |
| Connect your approved seller account | Yes, from the Channels screen |
| List stock that the store’s catalogue already knows, by barcode | Yes |
| Create new products in the catalogue | No |
| Detect Galeries Lafayette sales or import orders | No. Accept and manage orders in the partner portal. |
| Relisting or offer management | No |
Because FLUF does not see Galeries Lafayette orders, an item that sells there is not taken off your other channels by FLUF. If the same stock is also on Shopify, eBay or La Redoute, lower the quantity yourself after each Galeries Lafayette sale, or give the store its own allocation of stock that you list nowhere else. Given the 24-hour acceptance rule, a daily stock check is the minimum.
Galeries Lafayette is a business channel. FLUF plans for businesses selling across several channels are on the pricing page. Start with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month to see the Channels screen with your own stock before you commit.

Not through a form. The marketplace terms say the service is reserved for professional sellers that Galeries Lafayette has selected and signed a partnership contract with. Expect a conversation about your brand and range before any agreement.
The rate is set in each partner's contract and is not published. What the terms do state is the basis: commission is calculated on the price the customer paid, including VAT and shipping. Add the monthly portal charge of €49 before VAT when you work out your margin.
The terms require partners to give customers a quality service in French, and complaints passed on through the portal need an answer within 48 working hours. You do not need to be based in France, but you do need French-language customer service.
The customer opens the return with Galeries Lafayette, you receive and check the item, and you confirm the return in the partner portal. Galeries Lafayette refunds the customer and charges the amount back to you.
Yes, automatically. Once you have 30 orders, an incident rate above 5%, an order acceptance rate below 95%, or five unjustified cancellations in a row switches your products off until the figures recover.
No. Galeries Lafayette selects its partners itself. Once you have a seller account, use the Already approved? Connect option on the Galeries Lafayette card in FLUF Connect.
FLUF can list items from your inventory whose barcode already exists in the store's catalogue. It does not create catalogue products, does not detect Galeries Lafayette sales or import orders, and does not offer relisting or offer management for this channel.
