If you sell collectibles in Spain, the first question is who you want looking at the item. TodoColección is where Spanish collectors go to find a particular edition, year or reference number, and it charges commission only when a lot sells. Wallapop is a general second-hand app with a much wider crowd, where buyers who ship pay for the postage and a protection fee at checkout. Many sellers with a mixed stock end up using both.

TodoColección vs Wallapop: key takeaways

  • Choose TodoColección if your stock is catalogued by collectors: books, coins, stamps, comics, vinyl, toys and antiques, where buyers search by edition or year.
  • Choose Wallapop if you sell a mix of everyday second-hand goods and bulky items, and want a broad audience across Spain, Italy and Portugal.
  • Fees: TodoColección takes 8.75% of a sale up to €300, plus IVA, falling to 4.5% above €1,000. On Wallapop, shipped buyers cover postage and protection, and Wallapop’s terms set no seller commission percentage.
  • Listing time: TodoColección lots have no time limit. Wallapop listings work as a price you set and take down yourself when the item sells elsewhere.
  • Shipping: on Wallapop the buyer pays for Wallapop Envíos and posting is free for you. On TodoColección each seller sets their own postage.
  • Both: FLUF Connect lists one item to both marketplaces and can take it down on TodoColección when it sells elsewhere.

Who each marketplace suits

TodoColección suits a seller whose stock is catalogued by collectors. Buyers there search by series, year, maker and catalogue number, and they read descriptions closely. The site is in Spanish and offers more than 2,450 categories, from antiquarian books and tebeos to coins, stamps, militaria and vinyl. Everyday branded clothing and new electronics belong somewhere else.

Wallapop suits a seller with a mixed stock who wants a local app and a large audience. Wallapop says it has more than 21 million users. Its catalogue runs from clothes and phones to furniture and cars, so a collectible sits among a lot of unrelated stock. If you want the buyer who already knows what your item is worth, TodoColección is the better fit. If you want a wide audience for everyday goods, Wallapop is the wider net.

Fees: what you keep on a sale

TodoColección charges nothing to list. You pay commission only on a completed sale, and the rate falls as the price rises: 8.75% up to €300, 7% from €301 to €500, 5.5% from €501 to €1,000, and 4.5% above €1,000. The minimum commission is €0.01. IVA is added on top, because the fee page states that IVA is not included in its rates. Opening a seller account costs a one-off €0.01 plus IVA.

The Tienda shop plan costs €65 a month. It lowers the commission to 5.5%, or 3% on sales paid with Pago tc, TodoColección’s card payment service, and it raises the monthly allowances. Tienda only saves you money if the lower rate on your monthly sales comes to more than €65, so it suits steady volume rather than a handful of lots.

Worked example on TodoColección: a vinyl LP sells for €40. At 8.75% the commission is €3.50, so you keep €36.50 before IVA. A €1,200 antique clock falls into the 4.5% band: €54 commission and €1,146 kept before IVA. Higher prices earn a lower rate, so a few valuable pieces cost you proportionally less than many cheap ones.

On Wallapop, the shipped buyer covers the postage and the Wallapop Protection fee at checkout. Wallapop’s terms do not set out a seller commission percentage. Your money is held until the buyer confirms the item is right, and then it goes into your Wallapop Wallet. Check the amount the app shows you before you accept a shipped sale, and if you book a home collection, its cost comes off what you receive.

Auctions, fixed prices and how long lots stay up

TodoColección lets you sell at a fixed price or as an auction, and lots are published with no time limit. Nothing expires, so a rare piece can wait years for the right buyer. The catch is that older lots sink down the results. Reciclados move a lot back to the first places in the catalogue, and the commission plan includes 100 a month. Auctions are included up to 500 lots a month on that plan, and Tienda raises both allowances to 1,000.

On Wallapop a listing is a price and a set of photos. Buyers message you about it or buy at your price, and you take the listing down yourself when the item sells somewhere else.

Shipping: who posts and who pays

On TodoColección each seller states their own postage and handling on the lot, under the “Formas de pago y envío” tab. Lots can carry the Envío Gratis logo, and buyers can filter for them. If you use TodoColección’s own shipping service, Envíos tc, it is billed monthly on top of your commission. Collectors notice packing, so say how you protect books, records or fragile pieces.

On Wallapop the buyer pays for shipping through Wallapop Envíos, and sending the parcel is free for you unless you book a home collection. Standard parcels can weigh up to 30 kg. Bulky items such as sofas and washing machines go through Envíos XL, where the carrier collects and delivers them. Delivery takes 3 to 8 working days. If what arrives is not what was agreed, or the parcel has a problem, the buyer can ask for a refund.

Getting paid

TodoColección takes its commission from the sale price, and buyers can pay by card through Pago tc. On the Tienda plan a Pago tc sale carries the lower 3% rate. Look at the payment options in your seller area before you set prices, because the payment route changes what you keep.

On Wallapop the money reaches you through the Wallet. The buyer’s payment is held until they confirm the item is right, and then the item price goes into your Wallet. You can move the balance to a bank account you have registered in the app without a fee, and it arrives in 2 to 5 working days. The Wallet balance can also pay for purchases on Wallapop.

Listing a collectible and an everyday item

On TodoColección the lot is the product. The site’s help centre asks sellers to describe each lot as precisely as possible, add good photos, and state handling and shipping costs clearly. A lot that gives the edition, a condition grade and several close-up photos draws fewer questions, and the questions you do get are easier to answer in one line.

On Wallapop you fill in the title, photos, category, condition, price and location. Name the brand, model and size in the title, and keep the description to what a buyer needs: condition, measurements, what is included and how you hand the item over. A collectible listed on Wallapop should still name its edition in the title, because that is the word a buyer will type into search.

Buyers and trust

On TodoColección a buyer can ask a question about a lot before buying. The seller decides whether the answer is public or private. Collectors read the answers, so your reply time and how precisely you describe flaws both feed into how the lot is judged.

On Wallapop, a shipped purchase carries Wallapop Protection. The buyer’s money is held until they confirm the item, and if they open a dispute, Wallapop decides it. The buyer pays the protection fee, so a buyer comparing two similar items may notice the extra charge at checkout. Protection applies to the shipping service, so it is not part of a sale you agree and collect in person.

Selling on both, and where FLUF fits

Listing the same item on two marketplaces means writing it twice and remembering to take it down twice. FLUF Connect lists one item to TodoColección and Wallapop from one place. FLUF can take a lot down on TodoColección when it sells elsewhere. It does not remove Wallapop listings, so when an item sells somewhere else you take the Wallapop listing down yourself. When a sale happens on Wallapop, FLUF picks it up and takes the item off your other channels. FLUF also notices when a lot sells on TodoColección and clears that item from the rest of your shops, though it does not import the sale as an order.

How to choose

Choose TodoColección if you…

  • sell items that collectors catalogue by edition, year or reference number
  • would rather pay commission only when something sells, with no time limit on your lots
  • sell to Spanish-speaking buyers and can describe the item in collector’s terms
Choose Wallapop if you…

  • sell everyday second-hand goods, bulky items and collectibles in one place
  • want a broad audience across Spain, Italy and Portugal
  • want the buyer to pay for postage and protection at checkout

Many sellers end up with both. A dealer with a shelf of comics and a box of everyday clothes will often do better with comics on TodoColección and the rest on Wallapop. If your whole stock is rare pieces, start with TodoColección and add Wallapop only if the items you list there do not reach the buyers you want.

If you also sell from Spain on other marketplaces, selling from Spain covers the rest of the options.

Start with the stock you already have. Connect both marketplaces in FLUF Connect with 7 days for £1, then from £9/month, list a few collectibles on TodoColección and a few everyday items on Wallapop, and see which buyers come to each. Compare plans on the pricing page.

Frequently Asked Questions

They charge differently, so compare the money you keep on the same item. TodoColección takes commission on a completed sale: 8.75% up to €300, falling to 4.5% above €1,000, plus IVA. On Wallapop, shipped buyers cover postage and protection. Wallapop's terms do not give a seller commission percentage, so there is no like-for-like rate to set beside TodoColección's.

A one-off €0.01 plus IVA. TodoColección checks your seller account before your lots go live, so set it up before you plan to launch.

No. Lots are published with no time limit. Older lots drop down the results, so reciclados move a lot back to the first places in the catalogue. The commission plan includes 100 a month, and Tienda includes 1,000.

The buyer pays for shipping through Wallapop Envíos, and the buyer also pays the Wallapop Protection fee. Sending the parcel is free for you unless you book a home collection, in which case the collection cost is taken from your payout.

Tienda costs €65 a month and lowers the commission to 5.5%, or 3% on sales paid with Pago tc. It only saves money if the lower rate on your monthly sales adds up to more than €65, so it suits steady volume rather than a few lots.

Yes. When an item sells on another channel, FLUF can take the lot down on TodoColección. FLUF does not remove Wallapop listings, so when an item sells somewhere else you take the Wallapop listing down yourself.

Not as orders. When a lot sells on TodoColección, FLUF spots the sale and takes the item off your other channels, but the sale is not imported into FLUF as an order. Sales made on Wallapop do come into FLUF.
