BigCommerce merchants tend to run larger catalogues than most small web stores, so the question is less “can I get my products onto TikTok Shop” and more “how do I keep stock right when the same product sells in three places”.
BigCommerce’s own app, and when it is enough
BigCommerce lists Feed for TikTok Shop in its app marketplace. It says the app lets merchants “sync product and order details from BigCommerce to TikTok Shop” and auto-sync product details, pricing and inventory. BigCommerce also offers a separate TikTok app for the pixel and ad campaign tracking.
For a store that sells only on BigCommerce and TikTok Shop, that may be all you need. The gap opens when you also sell on eBay, Etsy, Depop or another marketplace. Each extra channel then needs its own connection, and a sale on one has to reach all the others before someone buys the last unit twice.
What TikTok Shop charges
TikTok Shop’s UK commission fee guide sets the fee as a percentage of each completed order, including VAT. Its worked example uses 9% for shoes under fashion and 5% for a computer, so the rate depends on the category. The fee is charged on the net sale price plus customer-paid shipping plus any platform discount, and taken from your settlement.
For a £60 pair of running shorts with £4 customer-paid delivery, the base is £64 and a 9% rate costs £5.76. On a £400 laptop at 5%, the commission is £20 before shipping. Price your TikTok Shop listings with the category rate in mind, rather than copying your BigCommerce price across without checking.
Setting it up
- Open a TikTok Shop UK seller account in TikTok Shop Seller Center.
