eBay to Allegro: Crosslist Your eBay Stock to Poland’s Biggest Marketplace
How to move eBay listings onto Allegro with FLUF Connect — the business-account gate, Polish parameters, PLN pricing, and exactly what syncs.
Key Takeaways
- You need an Allegro business account. Since 12 July 2022, Allegro’s developer portal states that private accounts cannot create or edit offers through the Allegro API — only company accounts can. Every API integration, FLUF Connect included, is bound by that rule. If you sell as a private individual, this workflow is closed to you.
- The audience is real. Allegro reported 21 million group active buyers and GMV approaching PLN 70 billion in 2025, with 15.3 million active buyers in Poland alone.
- FLUF Connect creates Allegro listings from your eBay stock over OAuth, server-side, with no browser extension — see the Allegro channel guide.
- Allegro sales do not come back into FLUF as orders. On Allegro, FLUF supports mark-as-sold only: it does not relist, does not manage Allegro offers and does not import Allegro orders. You run Allegro orders inside Allegro.
- The hard work is Polish copy and category parameters, not the connection: Allegro requires offers to be linked to its Product Catalog and to carry category-specific parameters that eBay item specifics do not map to one-for-one.
- Cost: Allegro charges no listing fee in most categories and takes a sales commission that ranges from about 1% to 17% net by category. FLUF Connect is £1 for 7 days, then plans from £9/month (Starter). There is no unpaid plan. See pricing.

Why Crosslist eBay Stock To Allegro
eBay is a global marketplace with a mature seller API; Allegro is the dominant general marketplace in Poland. They do not compete for the same buyer, which is the reason to run both.
The scale figures come from Allegro’s 2025 results announcement: group GMV close to PLN 70 billion, 21 million group active buyers and 15.3 million active buyers in Poland, with Polish revenue up 17.4% year on year. Those are marketplace-wide numbers, not a promise about your category — but Poland is a first-tier European e-commerce market that most UK and Western European eBay sellers never touch.
Allegro also operates Czech, Slovak and Hungarian marketplaces, which together reached 4.6 million active buyers in 2025 after adding 1.3 million buyers in a year, with 58% GMV growth. That footprint is small next to Poland, but it runs off one seller account: Allegro extends existing offers to the foreign marketplaces once you add local delivery options to your shipping price lists.
Allegro Smart! Is The Conversion Mechanism
Allegro Smart! is the paid buyer subscription giving free delivery above a basket threshold, with 7.5 million users in Poland plus over one million internationally. From 2 March 2026 Allegro standardised the threshold: free delivery to parcel lockers, pick-up points or by courier on purchases from PLN 49.90 from a single seller. The old split was PLN 45 to lockers and points and PLN 65 by courier; existing subscribers keep it until renewal.
The consequence for a foreign seller is blunt. Polish buyers are conditioned to expect parcel-locker delivery at no extra cost above a low basket value. If your delivery configuration cannot offer a locker or pick-up point at a competitive price, your listing loses to a domestic seller who can — whatever your product price is. That is the most common reason cross-border sellers underperform on Allegro.

The Business Account Gate
This fact decides whether the rest of the page applies to you, so it goes near the top rather than in a footnote.
Selling on Allegro through an API or a third-party integration requires a business (company) account. Allegro’s developer portal published the change under the heading that from 12 July 2022, you cannot list or edit offers on Allegro via the Allegro API if you hold a private account: only company accounts can create and edit offers through the API. Allegro tied it to EU consumer-protection transparency rules that require buyers to know whether they are buying from a trader or a private individual. Private sellers were pointed to Allegro Lokalnie, Allegro’s classifieds service, which is a different product and is not what FLUF Connect integrates with.
There is no workaround. It is not a FLUF limitation and not a plan restriction: Allegro enforces it against the account behind the OAuth token. A private account can connect and read, but the listing calls will not succeed.
Two further gates sit alongside it:
- Application registration needs an active account with two-factor authentication enabled, per the Allegro Developer Portal; the API help section is the seller-facing entry point.
- Business verification. For a seller registered outside Poland but inside the EEA, Allegro requires a business account plus documents confirming your business activity issued within the last four months — registration documents showing legal form, registration number, registered office address, shareholders and representatives — identity confirmation for owners or beneficiaries, and a verified bank account. Allegro documents the process for EEA sellers and for non-Polish companies. You do not need a Polish company or address. You do need a real, documented company somewhere.
So: a non-Polish seller can sell on Allegro. A private individual cannot do it through FLUF Connect or any other integration.
How Products Move From eBay To Allegro
FLUF Connect treats one product record as the master and pushes it outward. Both ends of this pair are server-side API channels, which makes the pipeline simpler than the extension-driven channels FLUF supports elsewhere.
- Connect eBay. A global, server-side channel authorised over OAuth, with no browser extension. FLUF imports your listings with their item specifics, condition, quantity and images.
- Connect Allegro. Also OAuth, also server-side, also no extension. The account you authorise must be the business account described above.
- Review and complete the product. Allegro rejects or degrades offers that lack required parameters, and its language rules are enforced by an automated check at listing time.
- Push to Allegro. FLUF creates the offer against your delivery price list and records the offer reference.
- Sell somewhere, clear everywhere. When the item sells on eBay or elsewhere, FLUF can pull the Allegro listing down. That is mark-as-sold, and on Allegro it is the only sync direction FLUF supports — see What Syncs And What Does Not.

Both sides of this pair are API channels, which is why it behaves differently from a pair like eBay to Kleinanzeigen, where the destination platform, Kleinanzeigen, has no seller API. If your master catalogue lives in a store rather than on eBay, the equivalent routes are Shopify to Allegro (see the Shopify guide) and WooCommerce to Allegro (see the WooCommerce guide).
Field And Category Mapping
eBay listings are rich; Allegro listings are rich in a different shape. This is the honest mapping, including where nothing maps.
| eBay field | Allegro equivalent | What actually happens |
|---|---|---|
| Listing title | Offer title | Transfers as text, but a keyword-dense English eBay title is not a usable Polish title. Allegro checks the offer language against the marketplace. |
| Description (HTML) | Offer description | Allegro requires structured descriptions with headings and sections, and bans marketing words such as “cheap” or “promotion”, ranking keywords, contact details and payment details. |
| Item specifics (Brand, Size, Colour, Type…) | Parameters (parametry) | Same idea, different dictionaries: Allegro parameters are category-specific and many use controlled value lists you must match exactly. |
| Brand item specific | Brand / Manufacturer parameter | Allegro picks brand from its own dropdown list. A free-text eBay brand string may not resolve. |
| MPN | Manufacturer code (kod producenta) | Maps cleanly when eBay carries an MPN. Most secondhand listings do not. |
| GTIN / EAN / UPC / ISBN | GTIN (EAN) parameter + Product Catalog match | The single most important field — Allegro uses it to attach your offer to a catalogue product. Wrong codes get removed. |
| eBay leaf category | Allegro category | No shared taxonomy. Category choice drives which parameters are mandatory and what commission you pay. |
| Condition (New, Used, For parts…) | Condition parameter (stan) | Maps in principle, but the values are Allegro’s, and in some categories condition is a required parameter rather than a listing-level attribute. |
| Price (GBP/EUR) | Price in PLN | Conversion is yours to decide. Allegro’s Polish marketplace prices, fees and invoices are in PLN. |
| Quantity / multi-quantity | Stock | Maps directly for fixed-price multi-quantity listings. |
| Photos | Offer images | Allegro accepts up to 16 images, JPG/JPEG/PNG, longer side at least 500 px, max 2560 × 2560 px — often fewer than an eBay listing carries. |
| Postage policy / business policies | Delivery price list (cennik dostawy) | Structural difference. Allegro offers reference a saved shipping rate; create the price list first, and set item location before assigning it. |
| Returns policy | Returns terms | Allegro requires published returns terms with at least a 14-day consumer withdrawal deadline. |
| Payment policy | — | Nothing to configure — Allegro handles buyer payment centrally. |
| Best Offer / offers to watchers | — | No mapped equivalent; FLUF does not manage offers on Allegro. |
| Auction format with reserve | Allegro auction format | Both have auctions, but this pair is a fixed-price workflow. Do not assume an eBay auction transfers as one. |
| Promoted Listings | Allegro Ads / featured offers | Separate ad systems, priced separately, not mirrored. |
| eBay item number | Allegro offer ID | Independent identifiers; FLUF keeps the link internally. |
Item specifics are the raw material here. eBay documents them as descriptive attributes — brand, size, type, colour, style — where some are required, some recommended and some optional by category, and buyers filter search by them; its developer docs cover the required item specifics rules for API listings. Having filled eBay’s required aspects puts you far ahead — but it is not a finished Allegro offer.
The Polish Language And Parameters Problem
Two Allegro requirements cause almost all the friction in this pair. Neither is a bug in anyone’s software.
Language
Allegro’s rules for offer listing and description require the description to be in the language of the marketplace, forbid mixing languages inside one offer, and require correct spelling, grammar and inflection — enforced by an automated tool that flags violations during listing and can block publication. Allegro separately confirms it checks the description against the language in your location settings.
Allegro did add an English path. Since 1 March 2023 you can complete the listing form in English and have Allegro translate title and description into Polish for Polish-speaking buyers. The caveats matter: it applied to newly created offers, edits to older offers still had to be made in Polish, and Allegro told sellers whose external integrator applications did not support English listing to ask those developers to adjust. The English route is a property of the native listing form, not something every API integration inherits.
Practical advice: write Polish titles and descriptions, at least for your top sellers. Machine-translating an English eBay title produces a title Polish buyers do not search for, because Polish product search uses different head terms and inflected forms. This is the highest-return manual work in the migration, and the reason a “push 4,000 listings overnight” plan produces 4,000 listings nobody finds.
Parameters And The Product Catalog
Parameters are the characteristics of the product, and Allegro names the four that matter most: GTIN (EAN), Brand or Manufacturer, Manufacturer code and Model. They differ by category, and Allegro periodically makes optional ones mandatory — it announced, for instance, that the GTIN (EAN) parameter would become mandatory in the Protective Foil and Glass category, and publishes a running feed of changes to categories and parameters. Those changes bind API listings exactly as they bind the form.
On top of parameters sits the Product Catalog. Allegro’s requirement is that new offers must be linked to a product in the Allegro Product Catalog regardless of category, with exclusions for Collections and Art, Handicraft using temporary products, and Classifieds, and it warns that unlinked offers may be ended automatically. Allegro also runs cleanup passes that remove incorrect GTIN (EAN) codes from offers.
Read that combination honestly and it tells you what kind of eBay inventory travels well:
- Travels well: branded, barcoded, catalogue-matchable stock with a real EAN, manufacturer code and model number. This is what Allegro is built for.
- Travels badly: one-off secondhand items with no barcode, no brand in Allegro’s dropdown and no catalogue product to attach to — precisely what many eBay resellers hold. Collections and Art and Handicraft are excluded from the catalogue requirement, which helps some sellers and not others.
Delivery Configuration
An Allegro offer references a delivery price list rather than carrying loose postage fields. Allegro’s developer portal documents the shipping-rates resources behind those price lists, and item location must be set before a rate can be attached. Configure this once, with a parcel-locker or pick-up-point option, before you push anything: getting it wrong rarely produces a clean error, it produces listings that publish and convert badly.
What Syncs And What Does Not
The gap between what a crosslisting tool does and what a seller assumes it does is where oversells come from.
| Capability | eBay (source) | Allegro (destination) |
|---|---|---|
| Connection type | OAuth, server-side, no browser extension | OAuth, server-side, no browser extension |
| Create listings from FLUF | Yes | Yes |
| Relisting automation | Yes | No. FLUF does not relist on Allegro |
| Offer / negotiation management | Yes | No. FLUF does not manage Allegro offers |
| Order sync into FLUF | Yes | No. Allegro orders are not imported |
| Mark as sold (pull the listing when it sells elsewhere) | Yes | Yes — and this is the only sync direction supported |
| Minimum photos | 1 | 1 |
| Markets | Global | Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary |
Spelled out, because it changes how you work:
FLUF can create Allegro listings from your eBay stock, and it can pull an Allegro listing down when the item sells somewhere else. Allegro sales do not flow back into FLUF as orders. When a buyer purchases on Allegro, you handle that order inside Allegro — packing, dispatch, buyer messages, returns, invoicing. Then you mark the item sold, and FLUF clears it from the other channels so you do not sell the same unit twice on eBay.
That final step is manual and it is the one people forget. Sell on Allegro without marking it sold and your eBay listing stays live; there is no Allegro order feed behind FLUF to catch it. Build it into dispatch: pack the Allegro order, mark it sold in FLUF, print the label.

Before And After: The Actual Workflow
Before
You have 600 active eBay listings and want the barcoded half on Allegro. By hand, per item: open the Allegro listing form, search the Product Catalog by EAN, pick the category, fill the required parameters, write a Polish title and description, re-upload images, choose a delivery price list, set the PLN price, publish. Then keep a spreadsheet so that when something sells on eBay you remember to end the Allegro offer. At three to six minutes an item, 300 items is fifteen to thirty hours — and the spreadsheet is the part that fails first.
After
- One-off setup. Business account verified, 2FA on, delivery price lists created with a parcel-locker option, returns terms published, both channels authorised in FLUF Connect.
- Filter your eBay inventory. Separate catalogue-matchable stock (real EAN, brand Allegro recognises) from one-off secondhand. Push the first group; treat the second as a manual, selective exercise or skip it.
- Localise the top of the list. Write Polish titles and descriptions for your best sellers before pushing, not after. Twenty good listings beat 300 machine-translated ones.
- Push in batches, check the first batch published with the parameters you expected, then continue.
- Run Allegro orders in Allegro, and mark items sold in FLUF as you dispatch them so eBay and your other channels are cleared.
- Let the eBay-side automation do its job — see the next section — since that is where FLUF’s fuller feature set lives.
The honest summary: FLUF removes the repetitive listing work and the oversell risk on channels it can pull down. It does not remove the localisation work, and on Allegro it does not remove order handling.
Automation Available On The eBay Side
Allegro support in FLUF is deliberately narrow, so it is worth saying where the automation actually is. On eBay, FLUF supports relisting, offer management, order sync and mark-as-sold:
- Relisting. Stale eBay listings can be cycled instead of ageing quietly.
- Offer management. Offers to interested buyers are handled from FLUF rather than by hand in Seller Hub.
- Order sync. eBay orders come into FLUF, so an eBay sale can clear the item from your other channels — including pulling the Allegro listing down.
- Sales detection cadence runs from every 90 minutes on Starter to every 15 minutes on Super Seller — see pricing.
This automation is included from Seller upwards, not a paid add-on. If your operation depends on relisting, keep eBay as the master and treat Allegro as a distribution endpoint. Channel-by-channel capabilities are on the channels index; the hub covers other source and destination pairs.

Pricing, Currency And Fees
Allegro’s Fees
Allegro’s published price list states that listing carries no charge and the only basic fee is the sales commission, at net rates that vary by category — roughly 2.5%–8% in Electronics, 4.5%–11% in Home and Garden, up to 11.5% in Fashion, 8%–11.5% in Sport and Travel and 13%–17% in Accessories and Others. No commission applies in categories such as Cars, Motorcycles and Quads, Real Estate, Services and Live Animals, which carry a listing fee instead.
Two details a UK eBay seller will not expect:
- Delivery cost counts towards commission. Allegro states that it takes delivery cost into account alongside the product price when charging commission (how commission is calculated), so inflating postage to protect margin does not work here.
- Optional costs stack. The same price list shows featured offers from PLN 19.90 gross per 10 days plus 0.75× the category commission, Allegro Ads from a PLN 3 minimum daily budget, and optional seller subscriptions at PLN 49, PLN 199 and PLN 3,000 gross per month. None is required to sell.
Invoicing. Allegro issues VAT invoices for its services monthly, covering the calendar-month billing period, no later than the 15th of the following month, and one invoice per account — three accounts with identical invoice details produce three invoices (Allegro invoicing guidance). Warn your bookkeeper; it is a different rhythm from eBay’s fee statements.
Currency And Setting Polish Prices
The Polish marketplace prices in PLN, as do Allegro’s fees and invoices. If your costs are in GBP or EUR, three things bite:
- FX drift. A price set once in PLN floats in your home currency. Rebuild PLN prices on a schedule rather than converting once and forgetting.
- Do not just convert your eBay price. Polish price expectations in most categories sit below UK ones for the same item, and Allegro’s search surfaces price aggressively; a straight conversion usually lands above the domestic competition.
- Price to the Smart! threshold. With free delivery for Smart! buyers from PLN 49.90 from a single seller, items priced just below it are at a structural disadvantage against a bundle or a slightly dearer competitor that clears it. Where your costs allow, price so a single-item basket qualifies.
Build the PLN price from the bottom: item cost, real delivery cost into Poland, category commission calculated on price and delivery, an FX buffer, then margin. Check the result against what Polish sellers charge for the same catalogue product — Allegro’s catalogue structure makes that comparison easy, in both directions.
Cross-Border Obligations
Selling into Poland from another country is ordinary EU distance selling, and the obligations are not optional.
Right of withdrawal. EU consumers buying at a distance can cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, the period running from delivery for goods, per Your Europe guidance; exemptions cover personalised items, perishables, unsealed media and downloaded digital content. EU buyers also have a minimum two-year legal guarantee. Allegro requires published returns terms with a withdrawal deadline of at least 14 days for consumers; its returns policy for sellers also allows refusal where the purchase was made in connection with the buyer’s business.
VAT and OSS. Allegro’s guidance on VAT taxation of distance selling to Poland explains that EU sellers can register in their own country for the One Stop Shop procedure and declare and pay VAT on all EU B2C sales in one country, and that below EUR 10,000 of cross-border B2C distance sales in the current and previous year you may keep charging home-country VAT. Where a platform facilitates the sale, VAT can in defined cases be settled by the platform — but Allegro states it did not register for the Import One Stop Shop scheme, so it does not settle VAT on goods imported from outside the EU. Holding stock, a branch or a rented warehouse in Poland makes Polish VAT registration likely regardless of OSS. Take advice on your own facts; this is a map, not a ruling.
Trader status. Note the through-line: Allegro restricted API listing to company accounts because of EU transparency rules requiring buyers to know whether they are dealing with a trader. If you sell at volume across borders, you are a trader — the business-account requirement follows from that rather than being an arbitrary hurdle.
What FLUF Connect Costs

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Allegro's developer portal states that since 12 July 2022, private accounts cannot create or edit offers through the Allegro API — only company (business) accounts can. That restriction is enforced by Allegro against the account behind the OAuth token, so no crosslisting tool can work around it. If you hold a private Allegro account, this workflow is not available to you until you convert to a business account.
Yes. Allegro publishes registration guidance for sellers registered outside Poland in the European Economic Area and for non-Polish companies generally. You do not need a Polish company or a Polish address, but you do need a verifiable business: Allegro asks for company registration documents issued within the last four months, identity confirmation for owners or representatives, and a verified bank account.
No. On Allegro, FLUF supports mark-as-sold only. It does not import Allegro orders, does not relist on Allegro and does not manage Allegro offers. You handle Allegro orders inside Allegro — dispatch, buyer messages, returns and invoicing — and then mark the item sold in FLUF so it is cleared from your other channels.
eBay order sync is supported, so the sale is detected in FLUF and the item can be pulled down from your other channels, including the Allegro listing. Sales detection cadence depends on your plan, from every 90 minutes on Starter to every 15 minutes on Super Seller.
In practice, yes for the Polish marketplace. Allegro's listing rules require the description to be in the language of the marketplace, forbid mixing languages in one offer, and are enforced by an automated check that can block publication. Allegro added an English option in the native listing form in March 2023, with automatic translation into Polish, but it told sellers whose external integrator applications did not support English listing to ask those developers to adjust — so treat Polish copy as the reliable route, at least for your best sellers.
Allegro requires new offers to be linked to a product in its Product Catalog, with exclusions for Collections and Art, Handicraft using temporary products, and Classifieds, and it requires category-specific parameters such as GTIN (EAN), brand, manufacturer code and model. Branded, barcoded stock maps well. One-off secondhand items with no barcode and no brand in Allegro's list are the hardest cases.
No. eBay and Allegro both authorise over OAuth and run server-side in FLUF Connect. Neither requires the browser extension used for channels that have no seller API.
Allegro's price list says listing an offer carries no charge and the only basic fee is the sales commission, with net rates varying by category — around 2.5%-8% in Electronics, 4.5%-11% in Home and Garden, up to 11.5% in Fashion and 13%-17% in Accessories and Others. Commission is calculated on the product price and the delivery cost. Allegro issues VAT invoices for its services monthly, one per account.
Build the price up rather than converting your eBay price: item cost, real delivery cost into Poland, the category commission charged on price and delivery, an FX buffer, then margin. Also watch the Allegro Smart! threshold — from 2 March 2026 Smart! buyers get free delivery on purchases from PLN 49.90 from a single seller, so items priced just below it are at a disadvantage.
