Crosslist from Subito to Vestiaire Collective: fees and fit
Move your designer bags, shoes and clothing from Subito to Vestiaire Collective, and see which fees, shipping rules and manual steps apply on each side.
- Only your designer stock fits. Vestiaire Collective accepts brands from its own list and bans fast fashion. Everything else on your Subito account stays where it is.

Is Vestiaire Collective right for your Subito stock?
Subito is Italy’s general classifieds site: furniture, phones, cars, clothes, all in one place. Vestiaire Collective is narrower. It works from an accepted brands list of over 12,000 luxury, fashion and designer labels, from Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Hermès to Gucci, and says an item outside that list “doesn’t fit our current selection”, whatever its condition. Its banned brands page rules out fast fashion names such as Zara, H&M and Shein.
So the move only suits the designer slice of your Subito stock: handbags, loafers, sneakers, knitwear, jewellery and sunglasses from those maisons, with every scuff, scratch or loose thread shown or described. A pair of high-street trainers or an unbranded coat has no route onto Vestiaire Collective. It stays on Subito, or moves to a general marketplace such as Depop or eBay instead.
The same brands page also refuses altered items, samples and VIP gifts received at press events or from the brand. There is a floor on price too: the selling fees page says it cannot accept items listed under €16. A small accessory priced for a quick Subito sale may not clear that bar.
How a Vestiaire Collective sale works
On Subito, once a buyer pays, the item ships straight to them. Vestiaire Collective adds a step in between. On a standard sale, your item goes first to one of its authentication hubs, where staff check, approve, package and ship it to the buyer within two working days. You get paid the working day after it ships to the buyer. You can follow each stage under Orders & Sales, then Sold items, on the website, or My Items, then Sold items, in the app.
Vestiaire Collective’s item condition guidance treats a defect as compliant only if you show it in a photo or state it in the description. Any hygiene defect means automatic cancellation. Write the description from what the item looks like today, and photograph every mark.
Direct Shipping: when the item skips the hub
Some orders bypass the hub. Direct Shipping applies to items under €1,000 when both buyer and seller are in an eligible region, such as Europe. On those orders you post to the buyer yourself, with a label from Vestiaire Collective, and Vestiaire Collective does not inspect it first. The same page lists UK sellers posting to Europe as eligible, except to Italy, Romania and Spain, so a UK buyer’s order from Italy is worth checking before you promise a delivery date. You must ship within 7 days of the sale or the order is cancelled and the buyer refunded. Direct Shipping is offered automatically on eligible items; you cannot switch it off for a listing that qualifies.
For an Italian seller selling to a buyer elsewhere in Europe, a Direct Shipping order works much like posting a Subito parcel. You pack it and take it to the courier yourself.

Take a designer handbag you sell for €400 on each platform. On Subito, the buyer’s TuttoSubito commission is 4.5% of €400 plus €1.20, so €19.20, and none of that comes out of your payout. On Vestiaire Collective, the same €400 sale falls in the 17% band: a €68 selling fee, plus 3% payment processing at €12, so €80 leaves your payout before you get paid.
Cheaper pieces tell a different story. A €60 scarf on Vestiaire Collective sits under the €75 line, so the fixed €12 fee and the flat €3 processing charge take €15, a quarter of the price. On Subito the TuttoSubito buyer pays €1.20 plus 5% of €60, which is €4.20, and your €60 arrives whole. Belts, scarves and small leather goods at that level usually make more sense left on Subito.
Shipping from Italy
On Subito, the TuttoSubito terms give you 6 days from the buyer’s payment to send the parcel. On Vestiaire Collective, a standard sale goes to a hub first and a Direct Shipping sale goes from you to the buyer within 7 days. Wrap a handbag in its dust bag, stuff it with tissue and box it, so corners, hardware and leather arrive matching your photos.

When it sells on Subito: FLUF does not see the order. Mark the item sold in FLUF yourself, so FLUF can end the Vestiaire Collective listing and update your other channels. Then end the Subito ad by hand.
When it sells on Vestiaire Collective: FLUF records the sale and updates your other channels for you. You still need to go into Subito and end the matching ad yourself.

- Connect Vestiaire Collective. Install the FLUF browser extension, sign in to Vestiaire Collective, then add it from Channels.
- Pick the eligible items. Keep it to designer and luxury brands on Vestiaire Collective’s accepted list, with defects shown in the photos, priced at €16 or more.
- Review each draft. FLUF copies the listing. Check it before you publish.
- Crosslist. Send a small batch first, check the results, then use bulk operations for the rest.
- End the Subito ad yourself. Whichever platform sells first, the Subito ad needs ending by hand.
