Key Takeaways: Wallapop to Amazon.es

  • Good fit: used books, games, films, music, computers, cameras and homeware you already sell on Wallapop. Amazon.es does not take used beauty, food, health care or supplements.
  • Used stock needs the Plan Profesional: €39 a month before IVA, plus a referral fee per sale.
  • You sell against a product page. Your offer joins an existing Amazon product page, so a barcode or ASIN matters more than your photos.
  • A Wallapop sale ends the Amazon.es listing. An Amazon.es sale is not picked up, so you mark it sold in FLUF and take the Wallapop ad down yourself.
  • Cost: 7 days for £1, then from £9/month, then plans from £9/month. Starter covers everything this pair uses.

Is Amazon.es right for your Wallapop stock?

It is if you sell things with a barcode. Amazon.es lets Professional sellers list used goods in most categories, naming consumer electronics, books, DVDs, CDs, video games and general merchandise. The same page rules out used beauty, food and drink, health care and supplements.

Fashion needs a check first. Amazon’s UK condition guidelines accept apparel, shoes and handbags only as New, and the Spanish used-goods page does not list fashion among its examples. Check category approval in Seller Central before you import a rail of second-hand clothes. For worn clothing, Vinted and Depop are the usual homes.

Furniture, bikes and anything you hand over in a car park stay on Wallapop. Amazon.es buyers expect a parcel.

How an Amazon.es listing differs from a Wallapop ad

On Wallapop you write the ad: your title, your photos, your price, and a chat with the buyer. On Amazon.es you usually match your offer to a product page that already exists, or create a new page if the product is not in the catalogue.

That shared page keeps its own title and images. What you control is the price, the condition, the stock count and how you ship. So the item’s barcode (EAN or ISBN) or its ASIN decides whether the listing works. A used Nintendo Switch game with the barcode on the box is easy. A lamp with no markings is hard.

For products without a barcode, such as own-brand or handmade goods, Amazon has a product ID exemption you apply for per category.

Amazon.es condition grades

Amazon.es uses five grades for Marketplace sellers: Nuevo, Usado – Como nuevo, Usado – Muy bueno, Usado – Bueno and Usado – Aceptable. Pick the grade by reading Amazon’s wording, not the grade you chose on Wallapop. For example, “Muy bueno” allows only minimal wear and small scratches, and any missing accessory must be named in the listing.

Two rules on the Amazon.es used-goods page catch Wallapop sellers out:

  • Used prices must be competitive and lower than the price of the same product new.
  • Standard advertising campaigns are not currently available for used products. Discount promotions still are.

What you need for an Amazon.es seller account

Selling used goods requires the Professional plan. If you started on the Individual plan, upgrade it in Seller Central.

Amazon’s registration guide asks for:

  • an ID document such as a DNI or passport
  • a credit or debit card and a bank account for payouts
  • a phone number and your residential address
  • business details, plus proof of address such as a bank statement or utility bill

The same guide says non-EU sellers must appoint a tax representative. On VAT, Amazon’s IVA information centre says that storing stock in Spain through Logística de Amazon (FBA) requires a Spanish VAT number and regular Modelo 303 returns. Your own position depends on how and where you trade, so check it with a tax adviser.

Fees on each side, with a worked example

Wallapop Amazon.es
Monthly cost None needed €39 before IVA on the Plan Profesional
Seller fee on a shipped sale Nothing, unless you choose home pickup Referral fee on the total price, shipping included
Who pays delivery The buyer pays shipping and a protection fee You set shipping rates, or use FBA

Amazon.es referral fees for common Wallapop categories:

  • Books, music, video and DVD, video games: 15%, no minimum
  • Consumer electronics and computers: 7%, minimum €0.30
  • Electronics accessories: 15% up to €100, 8% on the part above
  • Home: 8% up to €20, 15% on the part above, minimum €0.30
  • Toys: 15%, minimum €0.30

Take a used video game you sell for €25 with a €3.99 shipping charge. The referral fee is 15% of €28.99, which is €4.35. A used laptop at €300 with free delivery costs 7%, or €21. The same laptop shipped on Wallapop costs you nothing in fees, and the buyer pays postage.

The €39 monthly plan is a fixed cost on top. At ten sales a month it adds €3.90 to each one before IVA, which can wipe out the margin on cheap books and games.

Shipping from Spain, Italy or Portugal

Wallapop ships through Correos, Seur, InPost, Poste Italiane, BRT, CTT and Method. It covers domestic parcels in Spain, Italy and Portugal, and routes between Spain and Italy and Spain and Portugal. Ceuta, Melilla, the Canary Islands, Madeira and the Azores are excluded.

Amazon.es orders are yours to post unless you use FBA. With seller-fulfilled orders you set your own rates and handling times, and can buy carrier labels through Comprar Envío. You also handle returns: Amazon enrols sellers in prepaid return labels, so price that cost into cheap items.

What FLUF Connect does for this pair

Wallapop Amazon.es
Import listings and crosslist Yes Yes (as the destination)
FLUF detects a sale here Yes No
FLUF ends the listing here when it sells elsewhere No Yes
Relisting or offer management No No
Browser extension Needed to connect Not needed

When it sells on Wallapop: FLUF records the sale and ends your Amazon.es listing. You do nothing.

When it sells on Amazon.es: FLUF does not see the order. Open the item in FLUF and mark it sold. Then go to Wallapop and delete the ad, or tap Reservar while the Amazon order ships so the ad shows as reserved. Do this as soon as Seller Central shows the order, because a Wallapop buyer can still pay for the item until you do.
