Who this page is for

You sell from Austria. You might run a small business in second-hand fashion or collectables, sell new goods as a registered trader, or clear items from home. This page shows which marketplaces you can manage from one FLUF inventory, which are Austria-specific, and which local sites need separate handling. If you only sell locally in person, a classifieds ad is simpler than any of this.

What you can reach, and what FLUF does there

Marketplace Good for After a sale
willhaben Real estate, cars, jobs, and free classifieds across all categories FLUF lists and can relist on plans above Starter. FLUF does not see willhaben sales or remove the ad when the item sells elsewhere; remove it yourself.
Vinted (vinted.at) Private sellers of clothes, shoes, kids’ items and home goods FLUF sees the Vinted sale and ends your other listings, and removes the Vinted listing when the item sells elsewhere. Relisting and offers come with plans above Starter.
Whatnot Collectibles, trading cards, vintage items for live-stream buyers FLUF sees the Whatnot sale and ends your other listings. The listing delists automatically when the item sells elsewhere.
Temu Registered businesses selling new goods FLUF sees the Temu order and ends your other listings. When the item sells elsewhere, FLUF removes the Temu listing.
Joli Closet Luxury fashion and accessories (curated marketplace) FLUF removes the listing when the item sells elsewhere. Joli Closet sales are not detected, so mark them sold in FLUF.
eBay (eBay.at and global) Collectables, branded pieces and electronics for buyers worldwide Sales seen both ways. Relisting and offer management come with plans above Starter.
Etsy Handmade work, vintage of 20 years or older, craft supplies Sales seen both ways. Relisting is available on plans above Starter.
Depop Streetwear, vintage fashion and collectibles for younger buyers Sales seen both ways. Relisting and offers on plans above Starter.

willhaben, Austria’s marketplace for everything

willhaben was founded in 2006 and is now Austria’s largest digital marketplace. The platform hosts more than 8 million unique visitors monthly and 1.4 billion page impressions, covering real estate, cars and motors, jobs, and a free classifieds section with everything from furniture to tools.

For sellers, willhaben’s classifieds section is commission-free and a natural first choice for clearing household items or building a side business locally. The platform is entirely Austrian and most users are comfortable with the interface.

Vinted.at, Austria’s second-hand fashion leader

Vinted operates vinted.at as the go-to site for pre-owned clothes and shoes in Austria. The seller uploads at no cost; the buyer pays. vinted.at charges the buyer a protection fee of 5% of the price plus a fixed €0.70, so a €25 top costs the buyer €25.75 plus postage, and you keep the full €25. Bundling cheap items into a single listing reduces the per-item protection fee and makes them sell faster.

Three things that make Austria different

  • Euro payments. Austria uses the euro for all marketplace payouts, so prices on eBay, Vinted, Etsy and other euro-area sites compare directly with no currency conversion cost to you or your buyers.
  • VAT and tax rates. Austria’s standard VAT is 20%. If you are VAT-registered and sell new stock, that applies to your channel sales. Selling your own used clothes as a private person has different treatment, so ask the tax authority about your situation.
  • Postal network growth. Austrian Post has expanded to 3,000 postal points nationwide and is adding thousands of parcel lockers through 2027, making it easier for your buyers to collect parcels outside opening hours. Each marketplace sets its own delivery options, so check what your buyer can choose before you commit to a carrier.

What stays manual

Austrian sellers also use local classifieds like willhaben’s free marketplace and regional platforms. Treat willhaben as partly manual: FLUF lists your items and can relist them on paid plans, but you must remove the ad yourself when it sells on another channel. If it sells on willhaben, mark it sold in FLUF so your other listings end.

Frequently Asked Questions

willhaben is Austria's largest marketplace for everything — real estate, cars, jobs, and classifieds. Vinted.at is the leader for pre-owned clothes, shoes and home goods. They attract different buyers and work well together in a FLUF inventory.

Uploading is free. The seller pays no commission. The buyer pays a protection fee, which vinted.at says is 5% of the price plus a fixed €0.70.

FLUF sees the Vinted sale and removes the item from other channels automatically: eBay, Etsy, Depop, Shopify and others. For willhaben, you must remove the ad yourself because FLUF does not see willhaben sales.

willhaben's free classifieds section is commission-free. The platform is Austria-only and the largest marketplace by visits in Austria.

Euros. Austria joined the euro area in 1999 and uses EUR for all marketplace payouts, so prices across eBay, Vinted, Etsy and other euro-area channels compare directly.

Yes. Temu, Whatnot, Etsy, eBay and Shopify accept new goods from Austria. Temu and some other channels require business registration. Private sellers work fine on Vinted, willhaben classifieds, eBay and Etsy.

Austria's standard VAT is 20%. If you are VAT-registered and selling new stock, that applies to most channel sales. Selling your own used clothes as a private person is treated differently. Ask the tax authority about your situation.
