Who this route suits
A small Wix Stores shop with stock that sells well locally in Germany: furniture, bikes, tools, vintage homeware, refurbished electronics, handmade pieces. Kleinanzeigen is a classifieds site first. People search by town and distance, message the seller and often collect in person.
It suits you less if you cannot answer messages in German, cannot ship to or hand over in Germany, or sell long runs of identical new products where buyers expect a basket and a checkout. Kleinanzeigen can handle a shipped sale, but every sale starts as a conversation.
What Kleinanzeigen adds to a Wix store
A Wix site has no audience of its own. Every visitor arrives through your own marketing. Kleinanzeigen’s business pages put its reach at 32 million users, and those users are already searching for things to buy near them. For a one-off item, that search traffic is often worth more than a product page nobody has found yet.
The cost side is light. There is no commission on a cash sale at pickup. For shipped sales, Kleinanzeigen offers “Sicher bezahlen”, which holds the buyer’s payment through its payment partner until the item arrives. Its explainer says the service is free for sellers and the small fee is carried by buyers.
Here is a €45 lamp as an example. Sold to a local buyer who collects and pays cash, you keep €45. Sold with “Sicher bezahlen” and shipping, the buyer pays €45 plus the protection fee and the postage, and you receive €45 once they confirm the lamp arrived. If they forget to confirm, the money is released to you automatically after 14 days. Sold on your Wix store, you keep €45 less your payment provider’s charge, and you had to bring that customer in yourself.
What a Kleinanzeigen ad needs that a Wix product does not
- A commercial account. When you register, you state whether the account is private or commercial. The terms say a private account must not be used for business purposes. Register as “gewerblich”.
- Your legal details. Commercial sellers must meet the legal information duties, including a complete seller identification, which in Germany means an Impressum. Your Wix site may already have one. Kleinanzeigen needs it on your profile as well.
- Enough ad allowance. Volume sellers are steered towards paid PRO packages. Kleinanzeigen lists PRO Basic from €39 a month plus VAT and PRO Power from €59, priced by category and number of ads.
- A shipping choice on each ad. You say whether shipping is possible and which parcel options the buyer can pick. Kleinanzeigen offers DHL parcels in S, M, L and XL and Hermes options, with the label fetched from your account after the sale.
- “Direkt kaufen” if you want it. This buy-now button is switched on by the seller when the ad is placed. Without it, buyers send an offer or a message first.
- German text. A title and description written for a German shopper will do better than English copy from your Wix product page.
Setting it up in FLUF Connect
- Check your Wix plan can sell. Wix’s plans page shows “Accept payments” on Core, Business and Business Elite, and not on Light.

Price haggling on Kleinanzeigen happens in chat, and FLUF does not answer those messages for you. Decide your lowest price before the ad goes up, because a buyer will ask.
Cash sales at the door need one extra step. If a buyer collects an item and you never mark the ad as sold on Kleinanzeigen, nothing has told FLUF about the sale. Mark it sold in FLUF or on Kleinanzeigen straight away, so the Wix product comes down too.
