Crosslist from Kleinanzeigen to Vinted — Automatically
Move your Kleinanzeigen ads to Vinted and reach five more countries. Category, condition and size mapping explained — plus which 18% of your inventory cannot go.
- Check eligibility before anything else. Roughly 18% of Kleinanzeigen’s 56.8 million live ads sit in top-level categories Vinted has no destination for at all — vehicles, property, jobs, services, pets, tickets.
- Reach: Kleinanzeigen is Germany only. Vinted connects a German seller to buyers in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria, automatically.
- Both are free for sellers. Kleinanzeigen gives 100 ads per rolling 30 days at no charge; Vinted charges sellers nothing at all.
- The mapping is the hard part. Kleinanzeigen’s taxonomy is two levels deep; Vinted’s is five, and it requires a leaf node plus a brand, a group-scoped size and a package size that the source ad does not contain.
- The real risk is an oversell collision — Vinted transacts instantly while Kleinanzeigen negotiates in a chat thread. Sellers have taken automatic one-star ratings for it.
- Cost: from £9/month. There is no free plan, but every new account gets a 7-day free trial.

First: will your inventory even fit?
This is an eligibility question before it is a mapping question, and no other guide leads with it. Kleinanzeigen is a general classifieds marketplace covering everything from sofas to cars to jobs. Vinted is not.
| Kleinanzeigen top-level category | Live ads | Vinted destination? |
|---|---|---|
| Familie, Kind & Baby | 11.7M | Mostly yes — children’s furniture excepted |
| Mode & Beauty | 10.7M | Yes — cosmetics excepted |
| Haus & Garten | 10.2M | Partial — tools, textiles and kitchen yes; furniture no |
| Auto, Rad & Boot | 7.2M | No |
| Freizeit, Hobby & Nachbarschaft | 5.5M | Mostly yes |
| Musik, Filme & Bücher | 4.6M | Yes |
| Elektronik | 3.8M | Mostly yes — household appliances excepted |
| Haustiere | 0.9M | No — accessories only |
| Immobilien, Jobs, Dienstleistungen, Tickets, Unterricht | 1.8M | No |
| Verschenken & Tauschen | 0.2M | No — Vinted requires a price |
About 10.2 million ads — roughly 18% of everything on Kleinanzeigen — have no Vinted destination whatsoever, before you count furniture sitting inside Haus & Garten. There is no furniture category anywhere in Vinted’s 2,910 German catalogue nodes: no Möbel branch, no sofa leaf.
One correction worth making, because it cuts the other way. Vinted’s non-fashion scope is wider than most guides suggest. Its Home branch contains a full Tools & DIY subtree — power tools, drills, hardware, protective gear — plus cookware, kitchen tools, small appliances, textiles, tableware, office supplies, garden and pet care. Electronics spans ten branches including phones, computers, cameras, TVs, consoles and wearables. So a cordless drill genuinely does have a home on Vinted. A wardrobe does not.
Why crosslist from Kleinanzeigen to Vinted?
Five extra countries, for no extra work
Kleinanzeigen is domestic and geo-fenced — its own help centre confirms that shipping with “Sicher bezahlen” applies only within Germany. A German Vinted seller reaches buyers in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria, with the buyer buying the label at checkout exactly as they would domestically, and Vinted supplying in-chat translation. A German seller put it plainly: “Bei Vinted kommt noch dazu, dass das Ausland mit dabei ist, wie Frankreich, Italien, Niederlande und Belgien” — “On Vinted there’s also the fact that foreign countries are in the mix, like France, Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium.”
Escape from the 60-day clock
Kleinanzeigen ads expire after 60 days and, once expired or deleted, cannot be recovered — not even by Kleinanzeigen. Vinted documents no expiry at all.
A different negotiating culture — in a direction that may surprise you
The stereotype is that Kleinanzeigen is where the lowballers live. German sellers report the opposite as often as not, because Vinted’s offer button is frictionless:
“Ich verkaufe mehr bei Kleinanzeigen… Da wird bei Vinted gerne ausgiebig favorisiert, oder es werden Preisvorschläge von −40–50% gemacht. Bei Kleinanzeigen werden dann meistens die Teile gekauft, ohne zu handeln.”
“I sell more on Kleinanzeigen… On Vinted people love to favourite things extensively, or you get offers of −40–50%. On Kleinanzeigen the items usually just get bought, without haggling.”

How to crosslist from Kleinanzeigen to Vinted with FLUF Connect
- Sign in to FLUF Connect and open the Channels page.
- Connect Kleinanzeigen. The FLUF browser extension grabs one token at connect; after that every listing action runs server-side, so nothing needs to stay open.
- Connect Vinted. Vinted needs the extension installed and signed in throughout — its listings cannot be created from a server.
- Import your Kleinanzeigen ads. Eligible ones are identified automatically; the ineligible 18% stay where they are.
- Review the mapping. Category, condition and size all need translating, and Vinted wants a package size Kleinanzeigen never asked for.
- Publish. Vinted runs an automated review that usually takes under a minute.
What transfers — field and category mapping
| Kleinanzeigen field | Vinted field | Transfer status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Titel (10–65 chars) | Title (5–100) | Automatic | Vinted gives you more room. Kleinanzeigen titles are terse because the title is its only searchable field. |
| Beschreibung (~4,000) | Description (5–2,000) | Automatic, may truncate | Vinted’s ceiling is lower. Long Kleinanzeigen descriptions are trimmed. |
| Bilder (up to 20) | Photos (up to 20) | Automatic | Equal limits. Vinted requires at least 2. |
| Preis | Price | Automatic | “Zu verschenken” ads cannot transfer — Vinted requires a price. |
| brand | Brand | Smart mapped | Kleinanzeigen normalises to snake_case (the_north_face); Vinted needs a brand id from a controlled list. Unmatched brands fall back to “no brand”. |
| condition | status_id | Smart mapped | Two incompatible vocabularies — see below. |
| groesse | size_id | Smart mapped, group-aware | The hardest field in the set — see below. |
| color | Colour | Automatic | Kleinanzeigen uses German values with umlauts (blau, schwarz, grün, weiß); these map cleanly. |
| Kategorie (2 levels) | Catalogue leaf (up to 5 levels) | Inferred | See the depth problem below. |
| art | — | Used for inference | Kleinanzeigen’s product-type attribute is itself derived from the title; it helps pick the Vinted leaf. |
| versand | — | Not applicable | Vinted is shipping-only. |
| — | Package size | Manual input | Mandatory on Vinted, absent on Kleinanzeigen. Set a default per category. |
| — | Material (max 3) | Optional | Where the Vinted leaf enables it. |
Condition — two vocabularies that share no values
Kleinanzeigen’s condition attribute uses English-ish snake_case tokens, not German strings — a detail that catches out anyone building a mapping by hand:
| Kleinanzeigen token | Vinted status_id | Vinted label |
|---|---|---|
new_with_tag |
6 | New with tags |
new |
1 | New without tags |
like_new |
2 | Very good |
ok |
3 | Good |
alright |
4 | Satisfactory |
Note that Vinted’s ids are not ordinal — “New with tags” is 6, not 1 — and that Vinted’s web form uses a different id space from its API. Any mapper keyed to a single integer space will silently set the wrong condition, which is why FLUF Connect matches on label rather than id.
There is a further trap: Vinted validates condition per catalogue leaf. Some leaves accept only one value — the cables catalogue is new-only, for instance — and pushing a default such as “Very good” is rejected outright. FLUF Connect fetches the valid set for the chosen leaf and snaps to it.
Size — the sharpest break in the mapping
Kleinanzeigen’s groesse is a flat dropdown of bare lowercase tokens: l, m, xl, unisize. One list, no size system. Vinted requires a size drawn from a group that the chosen catalogue leaf selects, and the groups are not interchangeable:
| Vinted size group | Values look like |
|---|---|
| Women’s clothing | S / 36 / 8, M / 38 / 10, L / 40 / 12, Einheitsgröße |
| Men’s / generic | S, M, L, XL, One size, Universal |
| Denim by waist | W23 through W54 |
| Kids | Frühchen, bis 44, Neugeborenes / 44, Bis 1 Monat / 50 cm |
Four consequences:
- A bare
lis ambiguous. In the men’s group it becomesL. In the women’s group it must become the compound stringL / 40 / 12. String equality fails; you need group-aware resolution. - Jeans need a number Kleinanzeigen does not have. Vinted’s ripped-jeans leaf offers both the alpha group and the waist group, but a Kleinanzeigen ad whose size is
mcannot produce a waist measurement, so the W-group is simply unreachable. - Kids sizing is a different axis. Kleinanzeigen uses German sizes such as 98 or 104; Vinted’s kids group runs on cm and age bands. Both look numeric and neither is the same scale.
- Some leaves refuse size entirely. Vinted’s drill-drivers leaf has size visibility switched off — sending a size there fails.
The category depth problem
| Kleinanzeigen | Vinted (Germany) | |
|---|---|---|
| Total nodes | ~151 | 2,910 |
| Leaf nodes | ~136 | 2,493 |
| Maximum depth | 2 | 5 |
| Typical leaf depth | 2 | 4 |
Vinted’s German tree is roughly twenty times finer than Kleinanzeigen’s. That is not a lookup problem — the source ad genuinely does not contain the answer, so the destination leaf has to be inferred from the title. Kleinanzeigen works the same way internally: its own category suggestion endpoint takes a title, not a category.
| Kleinanzeigen (2 levels) | Vinted (leaf) |
|---|---|
| Mode & Beauty → Damenbekleidung (a puffer jacket) | Women → Clothing → Outerwear → Jackets → Puffer jackets (depth 5) |
| Mode & Beauty → Damenschuhe (sneakers) | Women → Shoes → Trainers (depth 3) |
| Mode & Beauty → Taschen & Accessoires | Women → Bags → Handbags (depth 3) |
| Haus & Garten → Heimwerken (cordless drill) | Home → Tools & DIY → Power tools → Drills → Drill drivers (depth 5) |
| Musik, Filme & Bücher → Bücher | Entertainment → Books (depth 2) |
Row one is the shape of the problem: Kleinanzeigen has one bucket where Vinted splits outerwear into jackets versus coats and then into eight or more jacket subtypes — bomber, denim, fleece, puffer, quilted, biker, field, ski, varsity.
What syncs, and the oversell collision
| Event | What happens | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Item sells on Kleinanzeigen | Removed from Vinted automatically | Within minutes |
| Item sells on Vinted | Withdrawn from Kleinanzeigen automatically | Within minutes |
| Price changed in FLUF Connect | Updated on both | Within minutes |
| Edits made directly in either app | Not synced | Edit in FLUF Connect |
The two platforms run on different clocks. Vinted transacts instantly — a buyer taps buy and the sale is done. Kleinanzeigen negotiates in a chat thread, often with the item informally reserved while collection is arranged. So the window in which an item is “sold” on Kleinanzeigen but still buyable on Vinted can be hours long.
I declined a sale 3 times and automatically got 1-star ratings… the item was reserved on Kleinanzeigen and in the meantime 3 people simply bought it.”
The community workaround is manual and tells you how real the problem is: “Sobald ich einen Artikel auf kleinanzeigen reserviere, mache ich den Artikel auf Vinted unsichtbar” — “As soon as I reserve an item on Kleinanzeigen, I make the item invisible on Vinted.”
There is a second-order cost too, which sellers discovered the hard way: deleting sold-elsewhere items on Vinted appears to damage your search visibility. One seller who sold on Kleinanzeigen and deleted from Vinted reported that afterwards “Sichtbarkeit quasi weg, trotz Push” — “visibility was basically gone, even with a Push.” Withdrawing a listing cleanly, rather than deleting and re-uploading, is the better pattern.
One consequence nobody mentions
General guidance, not tax advice. Both platforms report under the Plattformen-Steuertransparenzgesetz, Germany’s DAC7 implementation, when a seller exceeds either threshold — 30 sales or €2,000 in a calendar year, per platform. Exemption requires both conditions to hold.
But the platforms see different things. Kleinanzeigen can only report “Sicher bezahlen” transactions. As Finanztip puts it: “Von all diesen ‘klassischen’ und sehr häufigen Kleinanzeigen-Verkäufen, etwa Abholung mit Barzahlung, weiß die Plattform also nichts – und kann diese deshalb auch nicht an das Bundeszentralamt für Steuern übermitteln” — “Kleinanzeigen therefore knows nothing about all these ‘classic’ and very common sales, e.g. collection with cash payment, and consequently cannot report them.”
Vinted settles everything on-platform, so it sees everything. Crosslisting a seller who mostly transacts by cash-on-collection therefore makes their volume visible to the tax authority for the first time. Your obligations do not change — but your reported footprint does. Worth knowing in advance rather than discovering in January.
Before and after — the real workflow
Without FLUF Connect
Kleinanzeigen asks for four mandatory fields plus six required category attributes. Vinted asks for seven, including a leaf category four levels down, a brand id, a group-scoped size id and a package size. So the copy is not merely tedious — the source genuinely does not contain the destination’s required data, which is why the only German tools on the market stop at prefilling and hand the rest back to you.
Kleinanzeigen-Enhanced, the main paid extension in this space, says so itself: it “bereitet die Daten vor und öffnet Vinted, damit Du den Artikel dort prüfen und veröffentlichen kannst” — “prepares the data and opens Vinted so that you can check and publish the item there” — because “Vinted hat andere Pflichtfelder als Kleinanzeigen, besonders bei Kleidung, Schuhen und Accessoires.”
Reported timings put a careful Kleinanzeigen listing at 15–20 minutes and a Vinted listing at 15–35 minutes from scratch. One German tool vendor costs a realistic multi-platform session at “20 Artikel × 3 Plattformen = 5–6 Stunden — nur fürs Einstellen” — five to six hours for twenty items across three platforms, listing only.
With FLUF Connect
- Select eligible items in your catalogue
- Choose Vinted
- Confirm the inferred category, condition and size
- Publish
Around 30 seconds per item once defaults are set, and delisting handles itself.
Automation on each channel
| Feature | Kleinanzeigen | Vinted |
|---|---|---|
| Crosslisting | Yes | Yes |
| Sale detection | Yes | Yes |
| Sold elsewhere → delisted here | Yes | Yes |
| Auto-relisting | Yes — genuinely useful against the 60-day expiry | Yes |
| Offer management | Not supported | Yes |
| Bulk operations | Yes | Yes |
| Minimum images | 1 | 2 |
| Connection | Extension at connect, then server-side | Extension throughout |
Offer management is not available on Kleinanzeigen — the platform has no equivalent offer system to automate. Auto-relisting is available on both and matters more on Kleinanzeigen than almost anywhere, because ads die at 60 days and cannot be recovered.

Verified in August 2026. Vinted’s German-language condition labels could not be confirmed against a primary source and are therefore given in English above; the underlying id space is verified. Kleinanzeigen publishes no whole-category-tree endpoint, so its taxonomy figures are counted from its public directory. Tax information is general guidance, not advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. Roughly 10.2 million ads — about 18% of Kleinanzeigen's 56.8 million live listings — sit in top-level categories Vinted has no destination for at all: vehicles, property, jobs, services, pets, tickets and giveaway listings, since Vinted requires a price. Furniture is the other big gap: there is no furniture category anywhere in Vinted's 2,910 German catalogue nodes. Vinted does take more than people assume, though — its Home branch includes a full power-tools subtree.
Plans start at £9/month (Starter — 300 active products). There is no free plan, but every new account gets a 7-day free trial. Every plan includes crosslisting, inventory sync, relisting and bulk operations across all supported channels, so the same catalogue can also reach eBay, Etsy and Marktplaats — automation is not a paid add-on.
Because Kleinanzeigen has no size system, only a flat list of bare tokens like l, m and xl. Vinted requires a size from a group that the chosen catalogue leaf selects, and the groups are not interchangeable — a bare “l” becomes “L” in the men's group but must become the compound string “L / 40 / 12” in the women's group. Jeans leaves also offer a waist group running W23 to W54, which a Kleinanzeigen ad simply cannot produce a value for, and some leaves refuse size entirely.
Kleinanzeigen uses English-ish snake_case tokens rather than German strings: new_with_tag, new, like_new, ok and alright. These map to Vinted's New with tags, New without tags, Very good, Good and Satisfactory. Two traps: Vinted's condition ids are not ordinal — New with tags is 6, not 1 — and its web form uses a different id space from its API, so a mapper keyed to one integer space sets the wrong condition. Vinted also validates condition per catalogue leaf, and some leaves accept only one value.
Depth. Kleinanzeigen has around 151 category nodes and a maximum depth of 2. Vinted's German tree has 2,910 nodes with a maximum depth of 5 and a typical leaf at depth 4 — roughly twenty times finer. The source ad genuinely does not contain the answer, so the destination leaf must be inferred from the title. Kleinanzeigen works this way internally too: its own category suggestion endpoint takes a title, not a category.
Higher than most pairs, because they run on different clocks. Vinted transacts instantly — a buyer taps buy and it is done — while Kleinanzeigen negotiates in a chat thread with items often informally reserved during collection arrangements. German sellers report taking automatic one-star ratings for declining Vinted sales on items reserved on Kleinanzeigen. The manual workaround people use is hiding the Vinted listing the moment a Kleinanzeigen buyer shows interest; automatic inventory sync removes the need.
Sellers report that it can. One German seller who sold on Kleinanzeigen and deleted the Vinted listing found afterwards that “Sichtbarkeit quasi weg, trotz Push” — visibility was basically gone, even with a Push. Withdrawing a listing cleanly rather than deleting and re-uploading is the better pattern, and it is what FLUF Connect does when an item sells elsewhere.
It can, and it is worth knowing in advance. Both platforms report under the Plattformen-Steuertransparenzgesetz when a seller exceeds either 30 sales or €2,000 in a calendar year, per platform. But Kleinanzeigen can only report Sicher bezahlen transactions — it knows nothing about cash-on-collection sales. Vinted settles everything on-platform, so it sees everything. Moving a cash-heavy seller onto Vinted makes their volume visible for the first time. Your obligations do not change; your reported footprint does.
A package size above all — mandatory on Vinted and never captured by Kleinanzeigen, so set a default per category. Beyond that, a leaf category four levels deep, a brand from a controlled list and a group-scoped size id. This is exactly why the German extensions in this space stop at prefilling: Kleinanzeigen-Enhanced states that it prepares the data and opens Vinted for you to finish, because “Vinted hat andere Pflichtfelder als Kleinanzeigen”.
Yes, and it matters more here than on most channels because Kleinanzeigen ads expire after 60 days and cannot be recovered once expired or deleted — not even by Kleinanzeigen. Auto-relisting is available on both Kleinanzeigen and Vinted through FLUF Connect. Offer management is not available on Kleinanzeigen, because the platform has no equivalent offer system to automate.
