WooCommerce to Kleinanzeigen: selling your WordPress shop stock in Germany

Is Kleinanzeigen right for your WooCommerce shop?
WooCommerce is the e-commerce plugin that turns a WordPress site into a shop. Your WordPress store reaches people who already know it. Kleinanzeigen reaches buyers in Germany searching for items, many of them happy to collect in person. Before you start, check three things. Kleinanzeigen requires a commercial account for business sellers. It charges per ad once your free allowance runs out. And it bans some product types outright, so a shop selling alcohol, tobacco or 18+ media cannot list those lines.
If your catalogue is physical goods that people like to see or collect, such as furniture, bikes, tools or household items, this pair fits well.
Private or commercial: which Kleinanzeigen account you need
A WooCommerce shop sells for profit, so it counts as a gewerblicher Anbieter (commercial seller). Kleinanzeigen says commercial sellers must be registered with a commercial account, that business ads cannot be posted from a private account, and that a private account cannot be switched to a commercial one. If you have used a personal account until now, you open a new commercial one. Kleinanzeigen also sells an optional Kleinanzeigen PRO package for commercial users.
Every commercial ad needs an Impressum. Kleinanzeigen’s Impressum guidance lists your name and postal address, a way to reach you quickly by electronic means, and your trade register number, VAT ID and economic identification number where you have them. You fill these in using the required field when you post the ad. Kleinanzeigen’s guide for commercial sellers adds that an email address alone is not enough, and you should give a second fast contact such as a phone number.
The same guide says platforms like Kleinanzeigen report seller data to the tax authorities from 30 transactions or €2,000 in revenue a year.
Kleinanzeigen ad allowances and fees for commercial sellers
Kleinanzeigen’s fee table for commercial users, in force from 1 September 2026, sets a free allowance per category every 30 days. Prices include VAT.

The same page says ads now run for 30 days. Most shop stock falls under goods. Say you post 12 items of furniture in a 30-day window: the first 2 are free and the other 10 cost between €34.90 and €44.90 in total. Plan which products earn their ad fee before you crosslist a whole WordPress catalogue.
Sicher bezahlen, Direkt kaufen and shipping
Sicher bezahlen is Kleinanzeigen’s protected payment. A buyer can message you or press Direkt kaufen to buy straight away. After the buyer pays, you have 48 hours to confirm the item is available. Once the sale is complete, the money goes to your payout account. The buyer pays the shipping cost. Kleinanzeigen’s fees page says the buyer also pays the small buyer-protection fee, based on the sale value.
For shipping, Kleinanzeigen’s help centre lists DHL and Hermes options. You show a QR code at drop-off and the carrier prints the label. The tracking number goes to the buyer automatically. Local pickup paid in person skips all of this.
Widerrufsrecht: the right of withdrawal
When a commercial seller and a consumer agree a sale entirely by remote means, such as chat and online payment, German law treats it as a distance contract. Kleinanzeigen’s commercial seller guide says the buyer then has 14 days to withdraw. If you do not inform the buyer properly, the period extends to one year and 14 days. Writing “Keine Rücknahme” (no returns) in your ad has no legal effect for a commercial seller. Sales where the buyer collects in person fall outside this rule.
If your WooCommerce checkout already shows a withdrawal notice, you can adapt that wording for your Kleinanzeigen ads.
What you cannot list on Kleinanzeigen
Kleinanzeigen’s trading principles ban tobacco products and smoking accessories, alcoholic drinks, narcotics and related accessories, weapons and replicas, counterfeits and unauthorised copies, pornographic material, items rated 18+, most fireworks, medicines and medical devices, protected species, official documents, new vehicles and SIM cards. Check your WooCommerce categories against this list before you import anything.
How to connect WooCommerce to Kleinanzeigen with FLUF Connect
- Check your site. You need admin access to your WordPress site, and the site must run on HTTPS.
- Install the FLUF Connect plugin for WooCommerce. Download it from FLUF or WordPress.org. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, then activate it.
- Link your store. In your WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce, FLUF Connect, and click Connect to FLUF. You are sent to FLUF to click Authorize.
- Connect Kleinanzeigen. In FLUF Connect, open Channels and add Kleinanzeigen. It does not need the FLUF browser extension. Use your commercial Kleinanzeigen account.
- Import and review. FLUF Connect copies your WooCommerce products. Review each listing before it goes live.
- Crosslist. Start with a few products, then use bulk operations for the rest.
