Crosslist from BigCommerce to Etsy
Push your handmade, vintage and craft BigCommerce catalog to Etsy's 86.5 million buyers in one click — with inventory and orders kept in sync automatically.
TL;DR: FLUF Connect pushes your BigCommerce catalog to Etsy in one click — photos, title, description, price, variants and your store’s category tree carry over, reformatted into Etsy’s listing fields. Etsy is not a native BigCommerce marketplace channel, so FLUF bridges that gap. Inventory stays in sync so you never oversell, Etsy orders flow back into one dashboard, and items are marked sold automatically when they sell elsewhere. One honest caveat: Etsy only allows handmade, vintage (20+ years) or craft-supply products, so this is for BigCommerce sellers whose catalog actually qualifies — not a generic manufactured range.
A BigCommerce store gives you a fast, scalable, fully hosted storefront — but every visitor is one you brought yourself, through ads, SEO, email or social. The catalog might be beautiful and the checkout flawless, yet if nobody knows the URL, nobody buys. Etsy is the opposite proposition: a marketplace where 86.5 million active buyers arrive already searching for handmade, vintage and craft goods. If your BigCommerce catalog qualifies for Etsy — and that is a real “if” we’ll be honest about throughout — crosslisting puts your products in front of that built-in demand without rebuilding a single listing by hand.
That is exactly what FLUF Connect does. It reads your BigCommerce catalog through the BigCommerce API, restructures each product into Etsy’s listing format, and publishes — then keeps stock aligned across both so a sale in one place never leaves a live, oversold listing in the other. Because Etsy is not one of BigCommerce’s native marketplace channels (BigCommerce ships native Amazon, eBay and Walmart connectors, but not Etsy, per its omnichannel documentation), there is no first-party path from your store to Etsy at all. FLUF is the bridge.

Why Sell on Both BigCommerce and Etsy?
Sell on both because BigCommerce and Etsy solve different halves of the same problem: BigCommerce gives you a branded, controllable storefront with no audience attached, while Etsy gives you a huge, intent-driven audience you don’t have to acquire. Run them together and your handmade or vintage products reach Etsy’s 86.5 million active buyers while your own-domain store keeps the margin and customer relationship.
Etsy reported 86.5 million active buyers and 5.6 million active sellers as of 31 December 2025, according to its Q4 and full-year 2025 results. Those buyers come to Etsy specifically for things they can’t get from a big-box retailer: hand-thrown ceramics, made-to-order jewellery, vintage clothing and homeware, sewing patterns, beads, fabric and other craft supplies. That intent is the whole point. A shopper on Etsy has already self-selected into wanting the kind of product a qualifying BigCommerce maker sells — you are not competing for attention against unrelated categories, you are appearing in front of people actively hunting your niche.
The marketplace shift matters at a macro level too. Marketplaces now account for roughly 67% of global e-commerce sales (BCG, 2024), and specialty marketplaces like Etsy capture a disproportionate share of high-intent, niche demand. A standalone BigCommerce store, however well-built, sits outside all of that discovery traffic until you pay to drive visitors to it. Etsy is where the browsing already happens.
The honest eligibility caveat. Etsy is not an open marketplace for any product. Its seller policy restricts listings to three categories: handmade items (made or designed by you), vintage items that are at least 20 years old, and craft supplies (tools, ingredients or materials used to make things). A generic, mass-manufactured BigCommerce catalog — drop-shipped electronics, off-the-shelf branded resale, factory-made commodity goods — is not eligible and will be removed if listed. So this crosslisting path is specifically for BigCommerce merchants whose inventory is genuinely handmade, genuinely 20-plus years old, or genuine craft materials. If that’s you, Etsy is one of the best-matched audiences in e-commerce. If it isn’t, FLUF crosslists the same BigCommerce catalog to eBay, Shopify, Facebook Marketplace and other channels where manufactured goods belong.

BigCommerce gives you a branded storefront where you keep full control of design, data and margin; Etsy adds 86.5 million buyers who arrive already searching for handmade, vintage and craft goods. Crosslisting the eligible part of your BigCommerce catalog puts each product in front of both at once — your own audience plus Etsy’s intent-driven marketplace traffic — without re-keying a single listing.
How to Crosslist from BigCommerce to Etsy with FLUF Connect
FLUF Connect reads your BigCommerce catalog through the BigCommerce API and republishes the eligible products on Etsy, reformatting each one into Etsy’s listing structure as it goes. You connect each store once, select what to list, and crosslist in bulk — no copy-pasting between tabs, no rebuilding listings by hand.
Step 1 — Connect your BigCommerce store
Create your FLUF Connect account and connect BigCommerce using a store API token or OAuth — no password is ever stored, and the token is revocable from your BigCommerce control panel at any time. FLUF reads your catalog through the BigCommerce V3 catalog API: products, variants, images and your store’s full category tree. It does not need access to anything it doesn’t use.
Step 2 — Connect Etsy
Connect your Etsy shop through FLUF’s Etsy authorisation (OAuth) so FLUF can create and manage listings on your behalf. Again, no password is stored and access is revocable. This is the connection BigCommerce itself can’t make for you, because there is no native Etsy channel in the BigCommerce admin.
Step 3 — Select the products to list
Import your BigCommerce catalog into FLUF and pick what to crosslist — everything, or filtered by category, price or product type. This is the moment to apply the eligibility filter: select only your handmade, vintage (20+ years) or craft-supply lines for Etsy, and route the rest of the catalog to channels where it belongs. FLUF lets you build that selection once and reuse it.
Step 4 — Review the field mapping
FLUF pre-fills Etsy’s required listing fields from your BigCommerce data — title, description, price, photos, variants and a mapped category — and flags anything Etsy requires that your BigCommerce listing doesn’t already carry (for example the “Who made it / What is it / When was it made” attributes Etsy uses to enforce its handmade-vintage-supply policy). You confirm or adjust, then move on.
Step 5 — Crosslist in one click
Select your items and publish to Etsy in a single action — one product or hundreds at a time. Listings go live with their images, price, description and structured fields in place. From then on, FLUF keeps stock aligned: when a product sells on BigCommerce or Etsy, the other side updates so you don’t oversell. You can also set auto-crosslisting rules so qualifying new BigCommerce products are pushed to Etsy automatically as you add them.
How FLUF compares to manual listing and generic tools
Without FLUF, moving a BigCommerce catalog to Etsy means exporting a CSV, reformatting every field into Etsy’s structure, re-uploading photos, re-keying variants and pricing, then manually reconciling stock every time something sells in either place. Generic crosslisting apps rarely treat BigCommerce as a first-class source and Etsy as a destination with full inventory sync. FLUF supports BigCommerce as a native source channel and Etsy as a destination with relisting, order sync and automatic mark-as-sold delisting — bundled into one flat plan rather than spread across tiers.
What Transfers When You Crosslist from BigCommerce to Etsy?
BigCommerce stores rich, structured product data — multiple images, formatted descriptions, a real variant matrix and a deep category tree. Etsy enforces its own listing structure with required attributes that police its handmade-vintage-supply policy. FLUF Connect does the restructuring so each BigCommerce field lands in the right Etsy place, and surfaces the Etsy-specific fields you need to set.

|---|---|---|
| Jewellery > Necklaces (handmade) | Jewelry > Necklaces | Maps cleanly; set “Who made it: I did” + materials |
| Home & Living > Ceramics (handmade) | Home & Living > Ceramics & Pottery | Made-to-order vs ready-to-ship set as a listing attribute |
| Vintage > Clothing (20+ yrs) | Vintage > Clothing | “When was it made” must confirm the 20-year threshold |
| Craft > Beads & fabric | Craft Supplies & Tools | Listed as a supply, not a finished handmade item |
Fields that need your attention
A few things are worth knowing before you crosslist a large BigCommerce catalog to Etsy:
- Eligibility attributes. Etsy’s “Who made it?”, “What is it?” and “When was it made?” attributes are mandatory and are how Etsy enforces its policy. They have no direct BigCommerce equivalent, so you set them in FLUF — typically a single default per product line (e.g. all your jewellery is “I made it”, all your vintage is “Another company or person, 1990s”).
- Pricing and fees. Etsy charges a 6.5% transaction fee on the order total, a $0.20 listing fee per item, and payment processing of 3% + $0.25 in the US, per its fee schedule. A price set for your own BigCommerce store may need raising to absorb those costs. Set the adjustment once in FLUF and it applies across the batch.
- Title length. Etsy caps titles at 140 characters, so a long BigCommerce product name is trimmed — FLUF keeps the most important search terms at the front.
- Description formatting. BigCommerce stores rich HTML descriptions; Etsy descriptions are plain text. Formatting (bold, tables, bullet HTML) is flattened, but the wording carries over intact.
- Photo count. Etsy allows up to 10 images per listing. If a BigCommerce product has more, the first 10 transfer in order.
What Syncs (and What Doesn’t)
The biggest risk in selling the same item on two channels is selling it twice. FLUF Connect prevents that by keeping availability aligned across BigCommerce and Etsy. Both channels support automatic mark-as-sold delisting and order sync, so the stock picture stays correct on both sides.
| Event | What happens | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Item sells on BigCommerce | Etsy listing marked sold / delisted automatically | Within minutes |
| Item sells on Etsy | BigCommerce stock decremented; other channels updated | Within minutes |
| Etsy order placed | Order flows back into your FLUF dashboard | On sync |
| Price changed in FLUF | Updated on both channels | On next sync |
| Item deleted in FLUF | Delisted from both | Within minutes |
| New eligible BigCommerce product (auto-rule on) | Crosslisted to Etsy | Automatically |
Inventory sync — always on. Because both BigCommerce and Etsy report sales back to FLUF, an item that sells on one is pulled (or its stock decremented) on the other within minutes. You list once and never have to remember to take a sold item down manually. This is the core protection that makes running both channels safe.
Order sync — yes, on Etsy. Etsy supports order sync, so when a buyer purchases on Etsy the order details flow back into your FLUF dashboard alongside your BigCommerce orders. You see and manage sales from both channels in one place rather than logging into each separately. BigCommerce orders sync through its orders API the same way.
Relisting — yes, on Etsy. Etsy listings expire after a set period and benefit from being refreshed, and Etsy supports relisting through FLUF, so your items can be kept active automatically. More on that below.
Offers — not on Etsy, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Etsy does not expose seller-side offer automation the way some marketplaces do, so FLUF does not manage offers on Etsy. If you crosslist to channels that do support offers — such as Depop, Vinted or eBay — FLUF can automate offers there, but on Etsy that capability simply isn’t available. Everything Etsy genuinely supports — crosslisting, inventory sync, order sync, relisting and mark-as-sold — runs fully; what it doesn’t support, we don’t claim.
Automation for BigCommerce + Etsy Sellers
Crosslisting is the start. The automation that keeps both channels selling is where FLUF earns its place — and on the BigCommerce-to-Etsy path that means relisting, auto-crosslisting and bulk operations. (Offer automation is deliberately absent here because Etsy doesn’t support it; see above.) All of this is included in every plan, not a paid add-on.
Auto-relisting on Etsy
Etsy listings carry an expiry and reward freshness, and items that have sat a while can drift down in search. FLUF can automatically relist your Etsy items on a schedule so they keep surfacing for buyers, without you manually renewing each one. See the auto-relisting feature page for how the strategies work. This is a genuine Etsy capability, so it runs on the Etsy side as well as your other relisting-capable channels.
Auto-crosslisting rules
Set a rule once — for example, “every new handmade jewellery product over £15” — and FLUF crosslists qualifying new BigCommerce products to Etsy automatically as you add them. The eligibility filter is yours to define, which keeps non-qualifying manufactured lines out of Etsy and routed to the right channels instead.
Bulk operations
Bulk crosslist your entire eligible BigCommerce catalog, bulk-adjust prices to absorb Etsy’s fees, and run find-and-replace across listings on both channels at once. For a maker with hundreds of handmade SKUs, this is the difference between a week of manual data entry and an afternoon.

Which BigCommerce products do well on Etsy
Eligibility and fit go hand in hand here. Handmade jewellery, ceramics, candles, prints, made-to-order apparel and personalised goods are Etsy’s core demand. Genuine vintage clothing, homeware and collectibles that are 20-plus years old are perennial Etsy search terms. Craft supplies — beads, fabric, yarn, tools, sewing patterns — sell to the millions of Etsy buyers who are makers themselves. What does not belong is the rest of a typical BigCommerce catalog: mass-manufactured electronics, branded resale, commodity goods. Those aren’t eligible and would be removed — but they crosslist comfortably to eBay, Shopify or Facebook Marketplace through the same FLUF account, so nothing in your catalog goes to waste.
Pricing
FLUF Connect charges a flat monthly subscription — there is no per-sale commission on top of each marketplace’s own fees.
| Plan | Price | Products | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | £19/month | 500 | All automation features |
| Seller | £99/month | 5,000 | All automation features |

Plans start at £19/month (Growth — 500 products); there is no free plan. Every plan includes crosslisting, inventory sync, order sync, relisting and bulk tools across all supported channels — not just BigCommerce and Etsy — so you can add eBay, Shopify, Depop or Vinted on the same plan. Automation is included in every plan, not a paid add-on. Set-up takes about 10 minutes. See the full pricing page. You still pay Etsy’s own fees: 6.5% transaction, $0.20 listing and 3% + $0.25 processing per the Etsy fee schedule.
