Crosslist from TikTok Shop to eBay — Automatically
TikTok Shop creates demand from people who were not shopping. eBay captures the ones who go looking later. For UK sellers, here is exactly what moves across, what the fees really are, and the photo rule that trips people up.
- FLUF supports TikTok Shop in the United Kingdom only. Our app is approved for the UK market, so this page is written for UK sellers. TikTok Shop operates in other countries; FLUF’s connection does not.
- You are moving from discovery to intent. TikTok Shop sells to people who were not shopping. eBay sells to people who typed the thing into a search box. Those are different demand curves and they do not cannibalise each other.
- TikTok Shop’s UK commission is 9%, raised from 5% in September 2024. eBay’s UK business fees are charged by category — 11.9% on clothing, 9.9% on books, music and electronics, 10.9% on collectables — plus a 30p or 40p per-order fee and a 0.35% regulatory operating fee.
- If you sell as a UK private seller, eBay is free. Since October 2024 UK private sellers pay no final value fees and no regulatory operating fee. The cost has moved to the buyer as a Buyer Protection fee.
- eBay allows 24 photos to TikTok Shop’s 9, so nothing is lost on the way across — but eBay bans stock photography on used items, which matters if your TikTok listings use supplier imagery.
- There is no native integration between them. TikTok Shop’s own partner integrations are cart platforms — Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and similar — and eBay appears on none of them. The resale crosslisting tools go the other way: they support eBay and not TikTok Shop.
- Cost: £1 for 7 days, then plans from £9/month (Starter). There is no free plan.

Who this is for
Two constraints define the audience for this page, and both are worth stating before anything else.
FLUF’s TikTok Shop connection covers the United Kingdom. Our TikTok Shop app is approved for the UK market. TikTok Shop itself runs in a number of seller markets around the world; that is not the same as FLUF being able to connect to them. If you sell on TikTok Shop from outside the UK, this page describes something you cannot currently set up with us.
TikTok Shop UK is a business channel. Selling there means a registered business, VAT where applicable, and documentation — it is not a car-boot channel. So the typical reader here is a small brand, a beauty or homeware business, or a stockist, rather than someone clearing a wardrobe. That shapes the eBay side of the decision too, because eBay treats business and private sellers very differently.
Why a TikTok Shop seller needs a search channel
TikTok Shop is a genuinely large UK channel now. TikTok said in July 2026 that more than 300,000 UK small businesses sell on it, with live shopping sales up 55% year on year and more than 6,000 UK live sessions a day. Its beauty category grew 60% in 2025 and TikTok Shop is now described as the fourth-largest beauty retailer in the UK, a ranking attributed to NielsenIQ data. Its books category grew 250%. TikTok’s own commissioned research, carried out by Public First with EY modelling, put the platform’s 2025 contribution to the UK economy at £10 billion.
It is also a channel with a specific mechanic and a specific weakness. TikTok Shop’s own executives describe the model plainly: users do not necessarily know what they want to buy, they come to discover. That is excellent for a product that demonstrates well in fifteen seconds. It does nothing at all for the person who already knows they want your product and is looking for it three weeks later.
That person is on eBay. eBay reported 136 million active buyers and $22.4 billion of GMV in the quarter to 30 June 2026, with GMV up 15%. It is a search-intent marketplace: people arrive with a query, compare listings, and buy. Nothing about TikTok Shop serves that behaviour, and nothing about eBay serves discovery.
The practical case for running both is therefore not “eBay is bigger”. It is that a TikTok Shop business generates demand it cannot recapture. A video that goes well creates thousands of people who now know your product exists; a share of them will search for it later, and if you are not in the search results, someone else gets that sale.
One UK-specific data point cuts against the assumption that TikTok Shop is only for cheap impulse buys, and is worth knowing when you set prices on eBay: platform data reported in February 2026 found that items over £100 accounted for 41% of UK TikTok Shop revenue, against a 2.8% global average. UK TikTok Shop buyers are spending considerably more per item than the stereotype suggests.
The fee comparison, and the private-seller question
TikTok Shop UK charges 9% commission, raised from 5% in September 2024. That is a flat platform rate rather than a category-varying one.
eBay UK depends entirely on whether you sell as a business or a private seller, and the difference is large.
For private sellers, eBay UK has been free since October 2024: no final value fees and no regulatory operating fee when items sell. The exceptions are worth knowing — Cars, Motorcycles and Vehicles are excluded, listings beyond 300 a month cost 35p each, optional listing upgrades are chargeable, there is a 3% international fee when the delivery address is outside the UK, and a £16.80 dispute fee. The cost has been moved to the buyer instead, as a Buyer Protection fee charged on purchases from UK private sellers: 10p flat plus 7% of the item price up to £20, 4% of the portion from £20 to £300, and 2% of the portion from £300 to £4,000, with nothing charged above £4,000.
For business sellers, eBay UK charges a category-based final value fee plus a per-order fee of 30p on orders up to £10 and 40p above that, plus a 0.35% regulatory operating fee. Headline rates as of August 2026 include:
| eBay UK category | Final value fee |
|---|---|
| Books, Comics and Magazines; Music; Films and TV; Cameras; Computers; Mobile Phones; Sound and Vision; Video Games | 9.9% |
| Antiques, Art, Baby, Collectables, Garden, Health and Beauty, Musical Instruments, Pottery, Sporting Goods, Toys and Games | 10.9% |
| Clothes, Shoes and Accessories | 11.9% |
| Home, Furniture and DIY | 11.9% to £500, 7.9% above |
| Crafts, Event Tickets, Pet Supplies, Wholesale and Job Lots, Everything Else | 12.9% |
| Women’s Bags and Handbags | 12.9% to £800, 7% above |
| Jewellery and Watches | 14.9% to £1,000, 4% above |
So for a beauty business — the archetypal UK TikTok Shop seller — eBay’s Health and Beauty rate of 10.9% plus 0.35% and a 40p order fee lands very close to TikTok Shop’s 9%. For a bookseller, eBay at 9.9% is effectively the same. Neither channel is meaningfully cheaper than the other; they are simply different sources of demand at a comparable cost.
Note also that eBay’s Buyer Protection fee is not charged on purchases from business sellers — business sellers provide it free. If you sell as a business, your listing is not carrying that extra buyer-side cost.
eBay Shops are optional and cost £27 a month for Basic, £77 for Featured and £437 for Anchor, mainly buying free listing allowances. Without a shop, listings cost 30p each beyond the free allowance.
How to crosslist from TikTok Shop to eBay
- Create a FLUF Connect account and start the £1 seven-day trial.
- Connect TikTok Shop and approve access. Neither side of this pair needs a browser extension or an open tab.
- Connect eBay with a standard authorisation.
- Import your TikTok Shop catalogue. Titles, descriptions, images, prices, stock and attributes come across into one catalogue.
- Check your imagery. This is the step most likely to cause a problem — see the photographs section below.
- Review category mapping and item specifics. eBay requires certain item specifics, and which ones depends on the category.
- Crosslist. Listings appear on eBay and stay linked to their TikTok Shop source, so stock and sales stay in step.
Worth knowing what you are not choosing between. TikTok Shop’s published partner integrations are cart platforms — Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce, PrestaShop and similar — and eBay appears on none of them. Meanwhile the established resale crosslisting tools support eBay but not TikTok Shop. This particular pair is genuinely poorly served, which is why most sellers running both are doing it by hand.
What transfers, field by field
| TikTok Shop field | eBay field | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product title | Title | Automatic | TikTok Shop titles are written for a scrolling feed; eBay titles are read by a search engine. Rewriting for keywords usually pays for itself. |
| Description | Description | Automatic | TikTok Shop requires descriptions in HTML, so the markup carries across to eBay cleanly. |
| Images | Photos | Automatic | TikTok Shop caps uploads at 9 images; eBay accepts up to 24. Nothing is lost, but see the stock imagery rule below. |
| Price | Price | Automatic | Both in sterling. Price rules can adjust for the fee difference by category. |
| Stock | Quantity | Automatic | eBay supports quantity properly, so multi-unit stock maps cleanly. This pair is unusually easy in that respect. |
| Category | Category | Smart mapped | Both use proprietary trees. Your eBay category also determines your final value fee, so it is worth checking rather than accepting. |
| Product attributes | Item specifics | Mapped, some manual | eBay requires certain item specifics such as brand, and the required set varies by category. |
| Brand | Brand | Automatic | |
| Condition | Condition | Mapped | Most TikTok Shop UK stock is new, which maps cleanly. Pre-owned stock needs care on the photo rule below. |
| Video | — | Not transferred | The video that sells the product on TikTok has no equivalent slot in an eBay listing. |
Photographs, stock imagery and the used-goods rule
This is the one place a straightforward-looking crosslist quietly breaks eBay policy, and it is worth a moment.
eBay’s own rule is explicit: you cannot use a catalogue or stock photo if you are listing an item as used. Plenty of TikTok Shop listings use supplier or brand imagery, because for new stock that is normal and acceptable. Push the same images to eBay on anything you mark as pre-owned and you are in breach.
Two practical consequences. If your catalogue is entirely new stock, this does not affect you and your existing photography transfers as it is. If any of it is returned, ex-display, open-box or otherwise not new, those items need their own photographs before they go to eBay — and since eBay allows 24 images against TikTok Shop’s nine, you have room to add them rather than replace.
eBay’s image specifications are generous: a minimum of 500 by 500 pixels, 1600 by 1600 recommended, up to 12MB, in most common formats. Anything acceptable to TikTok Shop will be acceptable to eBay.
eBay’s duplicate listing policy
Sellers new to eBay often worry that crosslisting itself breaches a rule. It does not, and it is worth being precise about what the policy actually covers.
eBay’s duplicate listings policy is seller-scoped and eBay-scoped. It says you may not run more than one fixed-price listing of an identical item at the same time — including across different categories and different usernames, and including listings differentiated only trivially. It explicitly permits the same item to be listed on different eBay sites, provided your international shipping settings do not clutter one site’s results.
Nothing in it addresses listing the same item on a marketplace that is not eBay. Running a product on TikTok Shop and on eBay simultaneously is not a duplicate listing in eBay’s sense. What you do need to avoid is creating two eBay listings for the same product — which is exactly what happens when a manual crosslist is run twice, and one reason to let a tool hold the mapping.
What syncs between them
| Event | What happens |
|---|---|
| Item sells on TikTok Shop | FLUF reads the sale and updates or removes the eBay listing. |
| Item sells on eBay | FLUF reads the order and drops the corresponding TikTok Shop stock. |
| Orders | Both channels feed one order list. |
| Price and description edits | Pushed to both. |
| Automated relisting | Supported on eBay. Not available on TikTok Shop. |
| Offer management | Automated on eBay, which supports Best Offer. Not available on TikTok Shop. |
| Execution | No open browser needed. |
Stock sync matters more here than on a typical resale pair, because TikTok Shop businesses usually hold real quantities rather than single items. A video that performs can clear a line in an afternoon, and an eBay listing still showing stock you no longer have becomes a cancellation — which on eBay feeds your seller performance and can, for business sellers, add a fee loading of several percentage points if defect rates go the wrong way.
The relisting and offer asymmetry is worth planning around too. eBay rewards fresh listings and supports Best Offer; TikTok Shop does neither, so those features do real work on one side of this pair and nothing on the other. Both are included in every FLUF plan rather than sold as extras.
Before and after
Before. Export or re-key your TikTok Shop catalogue into eBay by hand, picking an eBay category and the required item specifics for each product, re-uploading images, and setting quantities. Then maintain two stock figures. When a TikTok video lands and clears your stock, remember to go and reduce the eBay quantity before someone buys what you no longer have.
After. Connect both. Import. Review the category and item-specific mapping once. Push. Stock and sales stay in step in both directions.
There is no native path for any of this — no TikTok Shop integration lists eBay, and no eBay-focused crosslisting tool lists TikTok Shop — so the alternative to a tool really is doing it by hand.
What UK TikTok Shop sellers report
The seller community is candid, and three themes recur through 2026.
Costs stack. The 9% commission is only part of it. A June 2026 thread on a returns policy update was titled bluntly around return shipping costs about to skyrocket for sellers. Another described sending fifty samples to creators for two sales, and asked whether TikTok Shop had simply become pay to play. A third warned sellers about auto-enrolled promotional discounting eroding margin. None of that is unique to TikTok Shop, but it does mean the effective take rate on a TikTok Shop sale is materially above the headline.
Enforcement is opaque. The highest-engagement UK thread of the set describes a shop permanently banned with, in the seller’s account, no evidence disclosed and no effective appeal route. Whatever the merits of any individual case, platform-risk concentration is a real argument for a second channel: a business that exists only on TikTok Shop has no continuity plan.
Discovery is increasingly bought rather than earned. Between creator samples, promotional enrolment and ad spend, sellers describe the organic route narrowing. That is the normal maturation of a channel, and it is precisely the moment at which having a search-intent channel alongside it stops being optional.
Set against that, eBay is a mature and predictable place to sell — which is its own kind of virtue. It is also worth noting that eBay completed its acquisition of Depop on 30 July 2026, so its investment in consumer-facing resale is running in the same direction as the rest of the market.
What it costs
FLUF Connect is £1 for 7 days, then plans from £9/month on Starter. Seller is £29/month and Pro is £99/month; every plan is unlimited on listings and marketplaces, and the tiers differ by which automations they include and how often we check your channels for sales. There is no free plan. Crosslisting and inventory sync are included in every plan, and automated relisting and offer management from Seller upwards rather than sold as extras, on the channels that support them. FLUF’s TikTok Shop connection is approved for the United Kingdom, and this page describes UK selling only; TikTok Shop’s own market coverage is wider. No UK-specific TikTok Shop GMV figure is published by TikTok or by any primary source, so none is quoted, and no UK TikTok Shop buyer count is given. The £10 billion economic contribution figure comes from research commissioned by TikTok and is presented as such. eBay does not publish a pre-owned share of GMV or category-level GMV, so none is quoted. eBay’s listing title character limit could not be confirmed from an eBay page and is not stated. Community quotes are individual sellers’ experiences, not measured data. Fee figures are current as of August 2026; TikTok Shop’s UK commission changed in September 2024 and eBay’s UK private-seller fees changed in October 2024, so older guides are unreliable.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. FLUF TikTok Shop app is approved for the United Kingdom, so the connection described here is available to UK sellers. TikTok Shop itself operates in a number of seller markets, but that is not the same as FLUF being able to connect to them.
9% commission, raised from 5% in September 2024. That is a flat platform rate rather than a category-varying one. Sellers report that the effective cost is higher once creator samples, promotional enrolment and seller-paid return shipping are included.
It depends on whether you sell as a private seller or a business. UK private sellers have paid no final value fees and no regulatory operating fee since October 2024, with exceptions for vehicles, listings beyond 300 a month at 35p each, optional upgrades, a 3% international fee and a 16.80 pound dispute fee. Business sellers pay a category-based final value fee plus 30p or 40p per order plus a 0.35% regulatory operating fee. Most UK TikTok Shop sellers are registered businesses, so the business schedule is usually the relevant one.
Closer than you might expect. eBay UK charges 9.9% on books, music, films, cameras, computers, phones and video games; 10.9% on collectables, health and beauty, toys and sporting goods; and 11.9% on clothes, shoes and accessories. Adding the per-order fee and the 0.35% regulatory operating fee, a beauty business pays roughly 11.5% on eBay against 9% on TikTok Shop. They are comparable costs for different sources of demand.
Only if you sell as a private seller. eBay UK charges buyers a Buyer Protection fee on purchases from private sellers — 10p flat plus 7% up to 20 pounds, 4% from 20 to 300 pounds and 2% from 300 to 4,000 pounds, with nothing above 4,000. Business sellers provide buyer protection free, so no such fee is added to their listings.
All of them. TikTok Shop caps uploads at 9 images per product and eBay accepts up to 24, so nothing is lost and you have room to add more. eBay accepts a minimum of 500 by 500 pixels, recommends 1600 by 1600, and takes files up to 12MB.
For new stock, yes. For anything you list on eBay as used, no — eBay explicitly prohibits catalogue or stock photography on used items. If any of your TikTok Shop imagery is supplier or brand photography and the stock is returned, ex-display or open-box, those items need their own photographs before they go to eBay.
No. That policy is scoped to eBay itself and to your own account — it prohibits more than one fixed-price listing of an identical item from the same seller at the same time, including across categories and usernames, and it explicitly permits the same item on different eBay sites. Listing on a marketplace that is not eBay is not addressed by it. What you must avoid is accidentally creating two eBay listings for the same product, which is what happens when a manual crosslist is run twice.
No. TikTok Shop published partner integrations are cart platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and eBay appears on none of them. The established resale crosslisting tools go the other way — they support eBay but not TikTok Shop. This pair is genuinely poorly served, which is why most sellers running both do it by hand.
FLUF reads the sales and drops the eBay quantity, and the same works in reverse. That matters more here than on a typical resale pair because TikTok Shop businesses hold real quantities, and an eBay listing still showing stock you no longer have becomes a cancellation — which feeds your eBay seller performance and can add a fee loading for business sellers if defect rates worsen.
