Crosslist from Trendyol to eBay — Automatically
Take a Trendyol catalogue into the markets Trendyol does not reach. Rich category data maps across cleanly — but the barcode field does not, and this page explains exactly why.
- Everything on this route is new stock, by definition. Trendyol’s platform rules require that “the product must be unused”, so a Trendyol catalogue is a new-goods catalogue. That makes the condition mapping onto eBay trivial — and it makes eBay’s business fee structure, not its private-seller one, the relevant column.
- Your Trendyol barcode is almost certainly not a GTIN, and eBay cares. Trendyol accepts self-generated barcodes with no checksum or EAN validation. eBay wants a real product identifier or an explicit declaration that one does not apply. This is the single most common cause of a failed listing on this route.
- Titles shrink. Trendyol allows 100 characters; eBay allows 80. Anything longer is cut, so the last twenty characters of your Trendyol title are the ones to check.
- Descriptions and photos travel comfortably. Trendyol allows 30,000 characters of HTML and a maximum of eight images — both well inside what eBay accepts, so nothing is lost in this direction.
- You gain automation Trendyol does not offer. eBay supports automatic relisting, offer management and order sync. On Trendyol, FLUF Connect does crosslisting and mark-as-sold only.
- Cost: 7 days for £1, then from £9/month — unlimited crosslisting on every plan. There is no free plan.

Why take a Trendyol catalogue to eBay
Trendyol is dominant where it operates and geographically bounded in a way that is easy to underestimate. Its seller-facing markets are Türkiye plus nine others — Germany, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Greece, Slovakia, Romania, Czechia and Bulgaria. It does not serve the United States, Canada or Australia at all. Alibaba’s annual report calls it “by far the leading e-commerce platform in Türkiye in terms of GMV in 2025”, and Trendyol’s own seller centre reports 32 million customers and 200,085 sellers.
eBay is the complement rather than the competitor: a genuinely global marketplace with deep demand in exactly the English-speaking markets Trendyol does not reach. For a Trendyol seller the pitch is not that eBay is a better platform, it is that eBay is a different set of buyers, reachable without a second warehouse or a second company.
There is a second, subtler reason. Trendyol’s visibility levers are almost entirely internal — your seller score, your commercial level, your operational status and Buybox eligibility all determine whether anyone sees your listing, and all of them are Trendyol’s to calculate. Fall into Trendyol’s red operational band and your products are, in its own words, “temporarily minimized”: still buyable by direct link, but absent from search, favourites and collections. A catalogue that also lives on eBay is a catalogue whose discoverability is not entirely in one platform’s gift.
Field mapping, in detail
Trendyol’s product schema is rich, so most of this direction is straightforward. The exceptions are worth reading closely.
| Trendyol field | eBay field | Transfer | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Title (100 characters) | Title (80 characters) | ⚠️ Truncated | The last 20 characters are at risk. Check anything long |
| Description (30,000 characters, HTML) | Description | ✅ Automatic | Both accept HTML; nothing is lost in this direction |
| Images (maximum 8) | Pictures | ✅ Automatic | eBay accepts more than eight, so the full set crosses |
| Sale price (TRY) | Price | ⚡ Converted | Converted to your eBay site’s currency |
| List price | — | ⚠️ Contextual | Trendyol’s list price is a strike-through reference, not an eBay concept |
| Brand ID | Brand item specific | ✅ Automatic | Resolved to a name. eBay accepts free text, so this is easy in this direction |
| Category ID (leaf) | eBay category | ⚡ Smart mapped | Both are deep trees; expect to confirm the leaf |
| Category attributes | Item specifics | ⚡ Mapped | Trendyol’s mandatory attributes usually cover eBay’s required specifics |
| Stock code | Custom label / SKU | ✅ Automatic | |
| Barcode | Product identifier (GTIN) | ❌ Usually invalid | Trendyol barcodes are free-form, not GTINs. See below |
| Quantity | Quantity | ✅ Automatic | |
| Condition | Condition | ⚡ Always new | Trendyol permits only unused goods, so this is unambiguous |
| VAT rate (per storefront) | — | ⚠️ Set on eBay | Handled through eBay’s own tax settings |
| Dimensional weight (desi) | Package weight | ⚡ Converted | Desi is a volumetric measure; eBay wants real dimensions and weight |
The barcode problem, which is the real one
This is the field that will cost you time if you do not handle it deliberately, and it is a genuine structural mismatch rather than a limit.
Trendyol requires a barcode on every product — you cannot create a listing without one. But a Trendyol barcode is not a GTIN. It is a free-form string of up to 40 characters with no checksum and no EAN validation. Trendyol’s own documented sample payload uses a value that is plainly invented, and its barcode FAQ explicitly confirms that self-generated barcodes are fine. For a seller whose stock does not carry manufacturer barcodes — own-brand goods, bundles, made-to-order items — that is a helpful piece of pragmatism.
eBay treats product identifiers quite differently. In many categories it expects a real GTIN — an EAN, UPC or ISBN that resolves to a catalogue product — or an explicit declaration that one does not apply. Passing a self-generated string that looks like a barcode into that field is worse than passing nothing, because it either fails validation or attaches your listing to the wrong catalogue product.
So before a bulk push, sort your catalogue into three piles:
- Stock with genuine manufacturer barcodes. These map straight across, and on eBay a valid GTIN is an advantage rather than a formality — it attaches your listing to eBay’s catalogue data.
- Stock with self-generated Trendyol barcodes. These need the identifier declared as not applicable on the eBay side. The Trendyol string is still useful as your SKU or custom label; it is just not a product identifier.
- Anything where you are not sure. A real EAN-13 is thirteen digits with a valid check digit. If the string has letters, hyphens or an obviously made-up shape, it is yours, not the manufacturer’s.
One related Trendyol behaviour worth knowing, because it will bite reconciliation later: spaces inside a barcode are silently stripped when the product is created, so the value Trendyol holds may not be the value you sent. And a Trendyol barcode can only be changed while the product is still unapproved — after approval you have to create a new product entirely.
Brands and categories run the easy way here
Brand is usually the hard field in crosslisting, and this is one of the rare routes where it is not.
Trendyol is strict: every listing needs a brandId that resolves to a brand already registered on the platform, there is no free-text option, and listings are rejected with reasons including “restricted brand” and “brand restriction in this category”. That strictness is an annoyance when you are listing onto Trendyol, and a gift when you are listing from it: every product in your catalogue already carries a resolved, validated brand. eBay accepts a brand as free text, so it simply arrives.
Categories work similarly. Trendyol requires a leaf category — never a parent — and exposes per-category attribute definitions with required flags, so a Trendyol product is already carrying structured attribute data. That maps onto eBay item specifics far better than a product coming from a marketplace with a shallow taxonomy. You will still want to confirm the eBay leaf, because the two trees are organised differently, but you are mapping rich data onto rich data rather than inventing it.
Two Trendyol attribute concepts are worth understanding because they shape what arrives. The slicer attribute — usually colour — splits products into separate content cards on Trendyol, and the varianter attribute — usually size, and there is exactly one per category — groups variants within a card. So a Trendyol catalogue tends to arrive already split by colour and grouped by size, which is close to how a well-built eBay multi-variation listing is structured.
Fees, currency and payouts
Because Trendyol permits only registered companies, the honest comparison is against eBay’s business rates rather than its private-seller ones.
| Trendyol | eBay UK (business) | |
|---|---|---|
| Listing fee | None | None within the monthly allowance |
| Subscription | None | Optional shop subscriptions |
| Commission | Not published for Türkiye — varies by category, brand and commercial level; rates include VAT | 11.9% in clothing, shoes and accessories |
| Per-order fee | Platform Service Fee, 10.99 TL + VAT per shipment (4.99 TL if the same-day badge is met) | £0.30 on orders up to £10, £0.40 above, plus a 0.35% regulatory operating fee |
| Shipping | Seller pays, billed on desi; orders under 350 TL are subsidised | Seller’s choice; discounted labels available in-platform |
| Currency | Turkish lira | Your eBay site’s currency |
| Payout schedule | Mondays and Thursdays, at delivery date plus the category’s payment term | Managed payments, considerably faster |
| Returns | 15 days from delivery; commission refunded | eBay’s returns and Money Back Guarantee |
Two honest caveats. First, Trendyol’s Turkish commission table is not public. It sits behind the seller panel under commercial terms, and Trendyol’s own academy page returns an access-denied message to anyone not logged in. Any category-by-category Turkish rate table on the open web is a reconstruction. What Trendyol does publish is the mechanics: rates include VAT, they are charged on the actual sale price rather than the list price, and they vary by category, sub-category, brand and commercial level. Its Gulf rates are published — UAE clothing at 16%, shoes and bags at 15%, fine jewellery at 5% — which gives a sense of the shape.
Second, the payout gap is significant. Trendyol pays twice a week, and your payment date is the delivery date plus that category’s payment term. The per-category term is panel-only, but sale-to-cash of two to three weeks is normal. eBay’s managed payments are materially faster. If you are funding stock from proceeds, the eBay side of a dual-channel operation is doing more for your cash flow than its share of revenue suggests.
On currency: your Trendyol prices are in Turkish lira and your eBay prices will be in your eBay site’s currency, so conversion happens on the way across. That is not a one-off — it is a standing exposure, and a price set once against a lira cost base drifts. Review it rather than setting and forgetting.
How to crosslist with FLUF Connect
- Connect Trendyol with your Seller ID, API key and API secret from the Partner Panel, under account information and integration information. Note that only the account’s master user can see these values.
- Connect eBay by following eBay’s authorisation prompts in FLUF Connect.
- Import your Trendyol catalogue. Titles, descriptions, images, prices, brands, categories, attributes, stock codes and quantities all come across.
- Sort out product identifiers before the first bulk push — genuine GTINs kept, self-generated Trendyol barcodes declared as not applicable.
- Check your long titles. Anything over 80 characters is going to be cut, and the cut falls at the end where you probably put the size or the model number.
- Select and crosslist. Crosslist in bulk without leaving a browser open. Auto-crosslisting rules can publish qualifying new Trendyol stock.
Neither connection requires a browser extension or open browser. Trendyol updates take time to complete; check each listing’s final status before trying again.
What syncs — and what does not
- Sold on eBay → stock reduced on Trendyol, automatically. eBay supports order sync, so the sale is detected and the Trendyol listing is stocked out. Because Trendyol only permits permanent deletion after an approved product has spent more than a day archived, setting stock to zero is the immediate, reliable removal — and that is what happens.
- Sold on Trendyol → you adjust eBay yourself. Order sync from Trendyol is not available, so a Trendyol-origin sale is not currently detected. On a new-goods catalogue with real stock depth this matters less than it would on single-item resale, but know which half of the loop is manual.
- Price and stock edits made in FLUF push to both.
- Automatic relisting, offer management and smart pricing all work on eBay. None of them are available on Trendyol, which supports crosslisting and mark-as-sold only.
Three things to check before you push a catalogue
Your seller score is public and it is relative. Trendyol recalculates it every Tuesday night, publishes it on Wednesdays, and shows it on your product pages — and it scores you against other sellers in your category rather than against a fixed bar. Adding a second sales channel changes your dispatch load, and dispatch time and on-time dispatch rate are both scored metrics. Scale onto eBay at a pace your fulfilment can actually hold, because the penalty for not doing so shows up on your Trendyol listings where buyers can see it.
Violation points pool across everything. Trendyol’s ladder runs 12 points for a two-day suspension, 24 for five days, 36 for seven, and 48 for indefinite suspension with payouts held for three months — and points accumulate across Türkiye, micro-export and every Trendyol group platform. Marking an item shipped when it has not been carries four points on its own, which is exactly the mistake a stretched dual-channel operation makes.
Micro-export is a different route from crosslisting, and they are easy to confuse. If you are already exporting through Trendyol’s micro-export programme, you are the exporter of record, VAT is zero-rated, and Trendyol charges a 6% international service fee including VAT plus an overseas-return operation fee of 30–35% of your earnings on that order. Selling the same goods on eBay is an entirely separate commercial arrangement with its own logistics and its own tax treatment. Crosslisting does not put your eBay sales through micro-export, and it should not be modelled as though it does.
What FLUF Connect costs
FLUF Connect starts at 7 days for £1, then from £9/month. There is no free plan. Every plan includes unlimited crosslisting across all supported channels; the tiers differ in how often sales are checked and how much history you keep.
On this pair the higher tiers earn their keep on the eBay side, where automated relisting, offer management and smart pricing are all available — and where, on a new-goods catalogue with repeat stock, relisting and offers are ordinary parts of trading rather than optional extras. The Seller plan at £29/month adds those and moves sale checks to hourly. Automation is included from Seller upwards rather than sold as an add-on; you get it wherever the channel supports it, which on Trendyol is nowhere and on eBay is everywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions
Usually not. Trendyol requires a barcode on every product but does not validate it as a GTIN — there is no checksum and no EAN validation, and self-generated barcodes are explicitly permitted. eBay expects a genuine EAN, UPC or ISBN in many categories, or an explicit declaration that one does not apply. Sort your catalogue before a bulk push: real manufacturer barcodes map across and help, self-generated ones should be declared as not applicable and kept as your SKU instead.
Trendyol allows longer titles than eBay. Review long titles before publishing and make sure essential details such as the size, model number and variant still fit.
Both travel comfortably. Trendyol permits 30,000 characters of HTML in a description and a maximum of eight images per product, and eBay accepts more than that on both counts, so nothing is lost in this direction. It is one of the few routes where the destination is more generous than the source.
Yes, and that is a rule rather than a convention. Trendyol's platform rules state that “the product must be unused and, if it is sold in packaging, the packaging must be unopened/undamaged,” so a Trendyol catalogue is by definition a new-goods catalogue and the condition mapping is unambiguous.
The business rates, because Trendyol only permits registered companies — there is no individual or hobby tier. On eBay UK that means 11.9% in clothing, shoes and accessories, plus a per-order charge of £0.30 on orders up to £10 or £0.40 above, plus a 0.35% regulatory operating fee. eBay's fee-free position for private sellers is not available to you.
Honestly, they cannot be compared precisely, because Trendyol's Turkish commission table is not public — it sits behind the seller panel and its own academy page returns an access-denied message to anyone not logged in. What Trendyol publishes is that rates include VAT, vary by category, brand and commercial level, and are charged on the actual sale price. On top sits a Platform Service Fee of 10.99 TL plus VAT per shipment, reduced to 4.99 TL where the same-day dispatch badge is met.
Yes. eBay supports order sync, so the sale is detected and the Trendyol listing is stocked out automatically. Because Trendyol only permits permanent deletion after an approved product has spent more than a day archived, setting stock to zero is the immediate and reliable removal, and that is what FLUF Connect does. The reverse is not live — a Trendyol-origin sale is not currently detected, so you adjust eBay yourself.
It can, if you scale faster than you can fulfil. Trendyol recalculates your seller score every Tuesday night, publishes it on Wednesdays and shows it on your product pages, and it is scored relative to other sellers in your category. Dispatch time and on-time dispatch rate are both scored metrics, and marking an item shipped when it has not been carries four violation points on its own. Add the channel at a pace your fulfilment can hold.
No, and confusing them is a costly mistake. Under Trendyol's micro-export programme you are the exporter of record, VAT is zero-rated, and Trendyol charges a 6% international service fee including VAT plus an overseas-return operation fee of 30–35% of your earnings on that order. Selling the same goods on eBay is an entirely separate commercial arrangement with its own logistics and tax treatment; crosslisting does not route your eBay sales through micro-export.
