Crosslist from Vinted to TikTok Shop — From Private Seller to Registered Merchant
Take your Vinted wardrobe onto TikTok Shop UK. The step up is bigger than a field mapping: TikTok Shop wants a verified merchant, a UK bank account and a category approval. Here is the whole path.
- This is a change of status, not just a channel. On Vinted you are a private individual clearing a wardrobe. On TikTok Shop you register as a sole trader or a company, verify your identity on video and supply a UK bank account.
- Your reach shrinks before it grows. Vinted connects a seller to buyers across roughly 27 markets. Our TikTok Shop connection is approved for the United Kingdom only.
- Used clothing needs a separate approval and cannot exceed £500 per listing.
- You already clear one bar. Vinted requires at least two photos per listing, which is exactly what TikTok Shop’s second-hand fashion policy demands — though one of yours now has to show the flaws.
- The connections could not be more different. Vinted runs through your own browser; TikTok Shop is a server-side authorisation that needs nothing left open.
- Cost: from £9/month. There is no free plan, but every new account gets a 7-day free trial.

The part nobody warns you about: you become a merchant
Every other guide to this route treats it as a listing-transfer problem. It is not, and getting this wrong wastes weeks. Vinted is built for private individuals: you sign up with an email, you list, you never prove who you are unless something goes wrong. TikTok Shop is a retail marketplace with merchant onboarding, and the gap between those two things is the real work.
TikTok Shop UK’s registration policy recognises two classes of seller — Sole Traders and Corporate Sellers — and the sole-trader path, which is the one most Vinted sellers will take, requires all of the following:
- You must be at least 18 years old
- A UK-issued government photo ID — a passport or driving licence
- A selfie holding the ID document, plus a verification video recorded by scanning a QR code on your phone
- Proof of a UK residential address — a bank statement or utility bill from the last three months
- Bank details from an institution located in the UK, in a name matching the seller, with an unredacted statement
A VAT number is requested only if you are VAT registered, so that is not a barrier. There is no follower requirement for shop owners either — the widely repeated 1,000-follower rule applies to affiliate creators, not to sellers. As one UK seller put it plainly on r/TikTokshop: “Is this a USA thing? As you don’t need followers to sell on TikTok shop in the UK.”
What this means in practice: if you are casually selling a few items a month on Vinted and have no intention of registering as a trader, this route is not for you, and no software changes that. If you are already running Vinted as a business — sourcing stock, listing consistently, treating it as income — then the registration is a formality you were probably heading towards anyway.
Then: the used-clothing approval and the £500 ceiling
Registration gets you a shop. It does not get you permission to sell used clothing in it. TikTok Shop UK’s Restricted Products Policy states that “all second-hand products can only be sold if a seller has been onboarded via a limited, ‘invite-only’ process.” You apply for it yourself in Seller Center under Qualification Center → Add category Authorization.
Three constraints then apply to everything you crosslist, and they interact badly with a typical Vinted wardrobe:
| Constraint | The rule | Effect on a Vinted catalogue |
|---|---|---|
| Value cap | Second-hand fashion “must not exceed the value of £500 per listing” | Rarely binding for everyday Vinted stock, which skews low. It bites only on designer pieces. |
| Title wording | Must include “Second-hand”, “pre-owned” or “pre-loved” | Vinted titles run to 100 characters, so there is room — but the words must actually be added. |
| Imperfection photo | At least one image “showing the scratches, stretch marks or imperfections” | Vinted already forces two photos minimum. The second one now has to earn its place. |
Mystery bundles are prohibited outright for second-hand goods, which removes a format some Vinted sellers lean on. And underwear, socks and swimwear may only be listed as new or new with tags.
Why bother, given all that?
Because the audience is not the same one
Vinted’s demand comes from search and from its own feed: people arrive already intending to buy second-hand. TikTok Shop’s demand comes from video — the item is discovered by someone who was not shopping at all thirty seconds earlier. That is a genuinely additive audience rather than a redistributed one.
The UK is also TikTok Shop’s strongest market for anything above pocket-money prices. 41% of UK TikTok Shop revenue comes from items over £100, against a global average of 2.8%. TikTok passed 300,000 UK small-business sellers in July 2026, with LIVE shopping sales up 55% year on year.
Because no competing tool goes here
Vendoo, List Perfectly, Crosslist and Zipsale all publish supported-marketplace lists, and TikTok Shop is on none of them. That is not an oversight — TikTok Shop is an approval-gated API channel, and tools built on browser automation cannot reach it at all.
The honest caveat
Fashion is not TikTok Shop’s easiest category. Sellers repeatedly report that consumables and impulse goods outperform clothing, because the platform rewards content volume rather than catalogue size. Crosslisting puts your stock there cheaply; it does not do the filming.
The money, honestly compared
| Vinted | TikTok Shop UK | |
|---|---|---|
| Seller commission | None. Vinted takes nothing from the seller | 9%, inclusive of applicable taxes including VAT |
| Payment processing | None charged to the seller | No separate processing fee documented |
| Fulfilment charge | Buyer pays shipping at checkout | £0.50 per delivered order when you ship yourself, since 15 July 2025 |
| Charged to the buyer | Buyer Protection, a fixed amount plus a percentage, shown in the displayed price | Included in the displayed price |
| Listing cost | Free to list | Free to list |
Vinted is, for the seller, the cheapest mainstream place to sell clothes in Europe — nothing comes out of your side at all. TikTok Shop is not trying to compete on that, and you should not price as though it is. A £40 item that nets £40 on Vinted nets roughly £35.10 on TikTok Shop after commission and the fulfilment charge.
How to crosslist from Vinted to TikTok Shop with FLUF Connect
- Register your TikTok Shop and clear the second-hand approval. Everything else waits on this.
- Sign in to FLUF Connect and open the Channels page.
- Connect Vinted. Vinted needs the FLUF browser extension installed and signed in, and it needs to stay that way — Vinted listings cannot be created from a server, so the work runs through your own session.
- Connect TikTok Shop. The opposite model: a one-time authorisation in TikTok’s own consent screen, after which everything runs server-side with nothing left open.
- Import your Vinted wardrobe and filter to what is eligible.
- Review the title rewrite and the category. The pre-loved wording is added here.
- Publish.
That difference in connection model is worth dwelling on, because it changes what you can do while your computer is off. Vinted work is bound to a live browser session. TikTok Shop work is not. In a mixed catalogue, the TikTok Shop side keeps moving when the Vinted side is waiting for you.
What transfers — field and category mapping
| Vinted field | TikTok Shop field | Transfer status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Title (5–100 chars) | Product name | Rewritten | Must gain “second-hand”, “pre-owned” or “pre-loved”. TikTok’s guidance sets a 25–255 character range and bans clickbait, marketing copy and references to other platforms. |
| Description (up to 2,000) | Description | Automatic | TikTok Shop UK requires at least 30 words; the API accepts up to 10,000 characters, so Vinted descriptions never truncate on the way in. |
| Photos (2–20) | Images (up to 9) | Automatic, may trim | TikTok Shop caps at nine. Minimum 800×800px, square, colour only — black-and-white images are rejected outright. |
| Price | Price | Automatic, capped | Anything over £500 is ineligible for second-hand fashion. |
| Brand id | Brand | Smart mapped | Both sides use controlled brand lists rather than free text, so this maps unusually cleanly. Unmatched names fall back rather than failing the listing. |
| Group-scoped size id | Size attribute | Smart mapped | Vinted sizes are scoped to a catalogue group; TikTok Shop expects a size attribute against its own leaf category, plus a size chart in most fashion branches. |
| status_id (condition) | Condition | Smart mapped | TikTok Shop expects Good, Very Good or Excellent for second-hand fashion. |
| Catalogue leaf | Leaf category id | Smart mapped | Resolved from the title through TikTok’s own recommender first, then from FLUF’s cached mapping. Never guessed. |
| Package size | — | Not needed | Vinted demands a package size at listing time; TikTok Shop handles fulfilment separately. |
| Colour, material | Category attributes | Smart mapped | Which are mandatory depends on the leaf category. |
| — | Product video | Manual | One optional video per listing, up to 5MB. Vinted has no equivalent to carry across, and on TikTok Shop this is the thing that actually sells. |
One structural detail that stays invisible until it bites: TikTok’s category tree is mirrored per region, not globally. The UK tree and the US tree are different shapes, with different category versions and different mandatory attributes, so a category identifier only means anything alongside its region. It is why a UK listing cannot be assembled from a US mapping, and why the UK-only scope of the connection is not merely an administrative footnote.
What syncs, and the gap you have to cover
| Event | What happens |
|---|---|
| Item sells on Vinted | TikTok Shop stock is dropped automatically. |
| Item sells on TikTok Shop | Nothing happens elsewhere. Order sync is not implemented for TikTok Shop, so the sale is not detected and your Vinted listing stays live. |
| You edit price or stock in FLUF | Pushed to TikTok Shop. |
| You delete in FLUF | Removed from TikTok Shop. |
We are stating that plainly rather than burying it. A channel registry that claims capabilities it does not have makes every downstream decision wrong, so TikTok Shop is recorded as supporting sold-elsewhere delisting and nothing more until its order feed is built against a real order body.
The workaround is one habit: when a TikTok Shop order lands, mark the item sold in FLUF Connect. The fan-out to Vinted and every other channel runs from there. Given Vinted transacts instantly with no seller confirmation step, leaving a sold item live there is exactly the collision worth avoiding.
Before and after — the real workflow
Doing it by hand
The manual version of this route is not simply “list it twice”. The two platforms want different shapes of data, so every item involves a small translation job:
- Open TikTok Seller Center and start a new product
- Retype the title, adding the mandatory pre-loved wording within the character range
- Re-upload photos, cropped square to at least 800×800, discarding any beyond the ninth
- Identify or reshoot the imperfection photo
- Walk the category tree by hand to a leaf, then fill whatever attributes that leaf declares mandatory — often including a size chart
- Re-select the brand from TikTok’s list rather than Vinted’s
- Re-enter price and stock, then publish and wait for review
- Watch both channels and delist manually the moment either sells
That last step is the expensive one. Vinted completes a purchase without asking you to confirm it, so the window between a Vinted sale and a manual TikTok Shop delist is a window in which you can sell the same garment twice.
With FLUF Connect
- Filter your imported wardrobe to eligible items
- Choose TikTok Shop
- Confirm the rewritten title and the inferred category
- Publish
Roughly half a minute per item once your defaults are set, and the Vinted-side delist happens on its own. The residual manual step is the one described above: marking TikTok Shop sales as sold so the fan-out runs in the other direction too.
Automation on each channel
| Feature | Vinted | TikTok Shop |
|---|---|---|
| Crosslisting | Yes | Yes |
| Sale detection on this channel | Yes | Not yet |
| Sold elsewhere → delisted here | Yes | Yes |
| Auto-relisting | Yes | Not supported |
| Offer management | Yes | Not supported |
| Bulk operations | Yes | Yes |
| Minimum images | 2 | 1 (2 for second-hand fashion, by policy) |
| Connection | Browser extension, throughout | Server-side authorisation |
Auto-relisting matters a great deal on Vinted, where feed position decays and a refreshed listing gets seen again, and not at all on TikTok Shop, where discovery is driven by video rather than by listing recency. Offer management runs on Vinted and has no TikTok Shop equivalent to automate. All of it is included in every plan rather than sold as a paid add-on.
What it costs
| Plan | Monthly | Crosslisted products |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | £9/month | 300 |
| Growth | £19/month | 1,000 |
| Seller | £49/month | 2,500 |
| Pro | £99/month | 5,000 |
| Super Seller | Custom pricing — contact sales | Unlimited |
There is no free plan, but every new account gets a 7-day free trial. Yearly billing saves 40% on every plan with the same feature set. The same catalogue also reaches Depop, eBay and more. Full detail on the pricing page.

Verified in August 2026. TikTok Shop publishes no UK GMV or UK active-buyer figure, so none is quoted. Vinted’s Buyer Protection is a fixed amount plus a percentage that varies by market, so no single rate is stated here. Fee arithmetic is illustrative and excludes promotion. Registration and tax information is general guidance, not advice.

Frequently Asked Questions
You need to register as either a sole trader or a company — there is no purely private seller path as there is on Vinted. TikTok Shop UK's registration policy requires a UK-issued passport or driving licence, a selfie holding that ID plus a recorded verification video, proof of a UK residential address from the last three months, and bank details from a UK institution in a matching name. A VAT number is only requested if you are already VAT registered.
No. The 1,000-follower threshold that gets quoted constantly applies to affiliate creators who promote other people's products, not to shop owners. UK sellers confirm the same thing: you can register a TikTok Shop with no following at all. Whether you sell anything without content is a different question.
Yes, but only after a separate category approval. TikTok Shop UK's Restricted Products Policy states that all second-hand products can only be sold once a seller has been onboarded through a limited application process, which you request yourself in Seller Center under Qualification Center. Registering the shop alone does not grant it.
Mostly, yes — and Vinted sellers start ahead here. Vinted already requires at least two photos, which matches TikTok Shop's second-hand fashion floor. The differences are that TikTok Shop needs images at least 800×800 pixels, square, and in colour, and that one of your photos must specifically show the scratches, stretch marks or imperfections. TikTok Shop caps at nine images where Vinted allows twenty, so long photo sets are trimmed.
Not automatically yet. Order sync is not implemented for TikTok Shop, so a sale there is not detected and your Vinted listing stays live. The reverse works properly: when an item sells on Vinted, its TikTok Shop stock is dropped. Until the order feed is built, mark TikTok Shop sales as sold in FLUF Connect and the fan-out to every other channel runs from there — which matters on Vinted, where a buyer can complete a purchase instantly without waiting for you.
Because the two platforms work in fundamentally different ways. Vinted listings cannot be created from a server, so that work runs through your own signed-in browser session via the FLUF extension, which needs to stay available. TikTok Shop is an authorised server-side connection: you approve FLUF Connect once in TikTok's consent screen and everything afterwards runs without your computer being involved.
Rarely. TikTok Shop's rule is that second-hand fashion must not exceed £500 per listing, and typical Vinted stock sits far below that. It only bites on designer or archive pieces, which is a much smaller share of a Vinted catalogue than of, say, a dedicated resale shop.
Yes, unavoidably. Vinted takes nothing from the seller at all — its Buyer Protection charge is paid by the buyer. TikTok Shop takes 9% commission inclusive of applicable taxes, plus £0.50 per delivered order if you ship it yourself. On a £40 item that is roughly £4.90, so price deliberately rather than transferring a Vinted price unchanged.
Not at present. Vinted operates across roughly 27 seller markets, but FLUF Connect's TikTok Shop application is approved for the United Kingdom only, so sellers elsewhere cannot complete the authorisation. We will extend the list as each additional market is approved.
Not to publish a listing — a product video is optional and capped at 5MB. In practice it is how the channel works, because demand comes from content rather than from search. Videos are not carried across from Vinted, since Vinted has no equivalent, so they are made natively on TikTok Shop.
