Connecting Vinted to FLUF Connect

Vinted is the largest C2C marketplace in Europe for secondhand fashion. FLUF uses Chrome Extension technology to connect your Vinted account.

Prerequisites

• Active Vinted account in your country
• Google Chrome browser
• FLUF Utility Chrome Extension (installed during connection)
• Keep your Chrome tab open with Vinted during connection

Important: Vinted does not have an official API. FLUF uses Chrome Extension to read your browser session cookies.

Connection Steps

Step 1: Select Your Country

1. Navigate to Connect → Channels
2. Click Add Channel and select Vinted
3. Select your Vinted country from the dropdown:

Critical: Select the country where your Vinted account is registered. Using the wrong domain will cause authentication to fail.

Step 2: Install FLUF Utility Chrome Extension

Click Install Chrome Extension (appears after country selection)

You'll be redirected to Chrome Web Store

Click Add to Chrome

Confirm the extension installation

Return to FLUF Connect window

Step 3: Log Into Vinted

Click Open Vinted button in the connection modal

A new Chrome tab will open with your country's Vinted website

Log in to Vinted in this new tab

Keep this Vinted tab open (do not close it)

Return to FLUF Connect window

Step 4: Connect

Click Connect with Chrome Extension

FLUF will automatically detect your Vinted session

You'll see a real-time status indicator:

- 🔵 Detecting... — FLUF is checking for your Vinted session

- 🟢 Connected! — Authentication successful - 🔴 Failed — See troubleshooting below

Once connected, your Vinted channel card appears on the Channels page

How it works: The Chrome Extension securely reads your Vinted session cookie from the browser tab. Your password is never stored in FLUF.

Important Session Details

Cookie Expiration

Vinted sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity

You'll need to re-authenticate when the session expires

FLUF will notify you when re-authentication is required

Keep Tabs Open

Keep your Vinted browser tab open while using FLUF

Closing the Vinted tab may invalidate your session

You can minimize Chrome, but don't close the Vinted tab completely

Re-authentication

When your session expires:

Go to Channels

Click Reconnect on your Vinted card

Click Open Vinted and log in again

Click Connect with Chrome Extension

Authentication completes in seconds

What Happens After Connecting

✅ FLUF verifies your Vinted authentication

✅ Your existing Vinted listings are imported (may take 3-10 minutes)

✅ You can now crosslist new items to Vinted

✅ Sales on Vinted trigger automatic inventory sync

✅ Real-time connection status displayed on Channels page

Sync Behavior

Sync method: Chrome Extension + Polling

Sync frequency: Every 6-12 hours (Vinted limitation)

What syncs: New listings, sold items, inventory updates

Listing speed: 1-3 minutes per listing (slower than API platforms)

Webhook support: Not available (Vinted has no official API)

Limitations

Price edits require relisting (Vinted platform limitation)

Bulk operations are slower than API-based platforms like eBay

CAPTCHA challenges may occasionally appear

Rate limiting: Vinted may throttle rapid listing creation

Next steps to get selling on Vinted:

Troubleshooting

Chrome Extension not detecting Vinted session?

Make sure you're logged into the correct Vinted country domain

Verify the FLUF Utility extension is installed and enabled

Refresh the Vinted tab and try connecting again

Try logging out of Vinted and back in

Check that you selected the correct country in Step 1

Connection status shows "Failed"?

Verify you selected the correct Vinted country

Make sure you're logged into Vinted in Chrome

Clear Vinted cookies and log in fresh

Disable other browser extensions that may interfere

Try incognito mode (remember to enable FLUF extension in incognito)

Session keeps expiring?

Vinted sessions only last 30 minutes of inactivity

Keep your Vinted tab open and active

Re-authenticate when prompted (takes seconds)

Consider keeping Vinted tab pinned in Chrome

Listings not appearing on Vinted?

Vinted listing creation takes 1-3 minutes (not instant)

Check Channels for sync status

Vinted may flag new accounts as suspicious (list slowly at first)

Ensure all required fields are filled (Vinted is strict)

CAPTCHA challenges appearing?

This is a Vinted security measure (not a FLUF issue)

Solve the CAPTCHA in your Vinted browser tab

Slow down listing creation rate

Wait 10-15 minutes before retrying

List gradually: Don't create 50+ listings at once (Vinted may flag as suspicious)

Keep account active: Log into Vinted regularly to maintain good standing

Monitor notifications: Check Vinted app for any account warnings

Re-authenticate promptly: When sessions expire, reconnect quickly to avoid sync gaps

Use good photos: Vinted heavily prioritizes visual quality
