Synchronise Vinted with Email Forwarding
Set up a one-time email rule and your Vinted sales mark items sold on Depop, eBay and Shopify within seconds of the sale.
What This Does
When something sells on Vinted, Vinted emails you straight away. By auto-forwarding that email to FLUF, your other marketplace listings come down as soon as the sale happens — so the same item can't sell twice across your stores.
You only need to set this up once. After that, it works in the background for every Vinted sale.
The address to forward to is: ##[email protected]Copy this exact address. Not[email protected], not[email protected]—[email protected]. Forwards sent to any other address will not be processed.
Heads up: This currently works for English-language emails from Vinted UK only. If you sell on Vinted France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands or any other Vinted country, please get in touch — we'll add support for your country.
What You'll Need
- Access to your email account
- A Vinted account that sends sale notifications to an email you control
Different email for Vinted than for FLUF? No problem. By default we expect the email you forward from to match your FLUF account email. If they're different, just open Vinted channel settings and put your Vinted email in the "Vinted email (only if different from your FLUF account email)" field. Save, and you're set.
Running multiple Vinted accounts? Each Vinted account has its own settings page on FLUF — pick the right Vinted store at the top of the settings page, then enter that account's email in the same field. We'll line up forwarded sales with the right store automatically.
Set Up Auto-Forwarding
Pick your email provider below.
Gmail
- Open Gmail → click the gear icon → See all settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses → Create a new filter.
- In From, enter
[email protected] - In Subject, enter
You've sold an item on Vinted - Click Create filter.
- This is the step that actually forwards — don't skip it. Tick Forward it to: and choose
[email protected]from the dropdown — double-check the dropdown shows[email protected], not[email protected]. This is the most common setup mistake.
- If
[email protected]isn't listed yet, click add forwarding address, paste it in, and confirm. Gmail will send a verification email — we'll receive it on our side and confirm the address within a few minutes. You don't need to do anything else; just refresh your Gmail forwarding settings and the address will switch from "pending" to verified.
- (Optional) Tick Skip the Inbox (Archive it) if you don't want sale notifications cluttering your inbox.
- ⚠️ "Skip the Inbox" on its own does nothing — it only files the email away. The filter only forwards if "Forward it to:
[email protected]" (step 5) is also ticked. A filter set to only "Skip Inbox" is the single most common reason a seemingly-complete setup never sends us a sale — so make sure both are ticked, not just this one.
- Click Create filter to save.
⚠️ Verifying the forwarding address is NOT the same as turning forwarding on. When you add [email protected] and it goes from "pending" to verified, that only proves the address is valid — it does not forward anything by itself. You still have to create the filter above with the Forward it to: action ticked. Adding the address and stopping there is a dead end: nothing will ever be forwarded.
Outlook (Outlook.com / Microsoft 365 / Hotmail)
- Open Outlook → click the gear icon (top-right) → View all Outlook settings → Mail → Rules → Add new rule.
- Name the rule "Forward Vinted sales to FLUF".
- Add condition: From →
[email protected] - Add another condition: Subject includes →
You've sold an item on Vinted - Add action: Forward to →
[email protected](not[email protected]— double-check). - (Optional) Add action: Move to → choose an archive folder.
- Click Save.
Apple Mail (macOS)
- Open Mail → Mail menu → Settings → Rules → Add Rule.
- Description: "Forward Vinted sales to FLUF".
- Conditions (set both):
- From contains
[email protected] - Subject contains
You've sold an item on Vinted
- Action: Forward Message to →
[email protected](not[email protected]— double-check). - Click OK.
Apple Mail only forwards while the app is running. If you mostly use Gmail or Outlook on the web, set up the rule there instead so it works around the clock.
Yahoo Mail
- Open Yahoo Mail → click the gear icon → More Settings → Filters → Add new filters.
- Filter name: "Vinted sales → FLUF".
- Sender contains
[email protected] - Subject contains
You've sold an item on Vinted - Yahoo doesn't support direct auto-forwarding from filters on free accounts. You'll need to either:
- Forward your Yahoo Mail to a Gmail/Outlook account and set the rule there, or
- Upgrade to Yahoo Mail Plus to enable forwarding.
iCloud Mail / ProtonMail / Other
These providers have limited rule support for auto-forwarding. The simplest approach: forward your Vinted notifications to a free Gmail account first, then set the Gmail rule above.
Verify It's Working
The next time you sell something on Vinted, two things will tell you the forwarding is working:
- Confirmation email from FLUF — within seconds of the Vinted email arriving, FLUF emails you back to confirm we received it, the item we matched, and which other channels we delisted from. Default on; you can turn it off in Vinted channel settings if you'd rather just trust the system.
- Sync History entry — under Connect → Sync History, you'll see a sold out entry for the item with the Email forward badge.
If the item was also listed on Depop, eBay or Shopify, those listings should be marked sold too.
If nothing appears after a few minutes, work through these in order — the first two catch almost every case:
- 1. Open the filter itself and check it has a Forward action, not just "Skip Inbox." In Gmail: Settings → Filters and Blocked Addresses, find your Vinted filter, click edit → Continue. The most common broken setup is a filter whose only action is Skip the Inbox (Archive it) with Forward it to: left unticked — it matches your sale emails and quietly archives them, forwarding nothing. Tick Forward it to:
[email protected]and Update filter. (Outlook/Apple Mail: open the rule and confirm it has a Forward to action, not only a "move to folder" action.) - 2. Confirm the destination is
[email protected]— not[email protected]or[email protected]. Check the address shown inside the filter's Forward action, not just what's verified on the Forwarding tab. - 3. Verifying the address is not the same as forwarding. On Gmail's Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab,
[email protected]being listed/verified only means the address is valid — a filter still has to do the actual forwarding (step 1). Adding the address and stopping there forwards nothing. - 4. Running multiple stores? You need a filter in each mailbox that receives that store's Vinted emails, and each store's email set on its own tab in Vinted channel settings (see "Running multiple Vinted accounts?" above). A filter in one mailbox won't cover the other.
- 5. Confirm you're forwarding from the email your Vinted account actually sends notifications to — and that it matches either your FLUF account email or the Vinted email you entered in channel settings.
- 6. Only mail that arrives after the filter is set up gets forwarded. Gmail/Outlook don't retro-forward — a sale that happened before you finished the setup won't come through. Test with your next sale.
- 7. Check whether the Vinted email arrived in your forwarder's Sent folder (proof it actually forwarded).
Privacy
We only act on genuine Vinted sale notifications. Other Vinted emails (offers, shipping updates, marketing) and anything that doesn't match a real sale notification are ignored.
Disable Forwarding
If you ever want to turn this off, just delete the email rule you created above. Your Vinted sales will continue to be picked up by the standard FLUF sync as they always have been.
