Notifications & Alerts

Push notifications keep you informed about sales, order updates, and important events — even when the app isn't open.


Setting Up Notifications

The first time you successfully crosslist a listing, the app prompts you to enable push notifications. You can also enable them manually:

  1. Go to the Profile tab
  2. Tap the bell icon or navigate to Notification Settings
  3. Toggle notifications on

If you've previously denied notification permissions, the app will guide you to your device's Settings to re-enable them.


What You'll Be Notified About

  • Sales — Instant alerts when an item sells on any connected marketplace
  • Order updates — Status changes on your orders
  • Sync issues — If inventory sync encounters a problem
  • Important updates — App updates and platform announcements

Sale Celebrations

When a sale notification arrives, the app shows a celebration screen with confetti animation. From there you can:

  • See the item that sold and the sale amount
  • Share the sale to social media (WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
  • Dismiss and continue what you were doing
  • If the sale notification arrives while the app is open, the celebration overlay appears on top of your current screen. If the app is in the background, tapping the notification opens the app directly to the celebration.


    Notification Settings

    To access the full notification settings, go to More > tap the bell icon > tap the settings gear in the top-right corner.

    Push Notifications

  • Enable Push Notifications — Master toggle for all push notifications on this device
  • Sale Notifications — Toggle alerts specifically for when you make a sale on any marketplace
  • Quiet Hours

    Pause all push notifications during specific hours — useful for overnight or during busy periods:

  • Enable Quiet Hours — Toggle on to activate
  • Start Time — When to pause notifications (default: 10:00 PM)
  • End Time — When to resume notifications (default: 8:00 AM)
  • Tap the start or end time to change it using the time picker.

    Email Notifications

    The app also lets you control which email notifications you receive:

  • Daily Summary Stats — Daily summary of your crosslisting activity
  • Crosslisted Products — Summary of products that were crosslisted
  • Crosslisting Updates — Regular updates on crosslisting activity
  • Sold Items Summary — Daily summary of items sold with sync status
  • System Error Alerts — Alerts about sync or crosslisting issues
  • Chatroom Mentions — When someone mentions you in the community chat
  • Chatroom Direct Messages — When you receive a direct message
  • Tap Save in the top-right corner after making changes to any settings.

    Android Notification Channels

    On Android devices, the app sets up two separate notification channels that you can manage independently in your device's notification settings:

  • General — Standard notifications
  • Sales — High-importance sale alerts (these can have a distinct sound and priority)

  • In-App Notifications

    The bell icon on the More tab shows your unread notification count. Tap it to view your notification history — a list of all recent alerts including sales, sync events, and system messages.

    Each notification shows:

  • An icon indicating the type (sale, message, offer, sync, or error)
  • The notification title and message
  • Product images (for sale notifications)
  • Sale amount (for sale notifications)
  • How long ago it arrived
  • You can mark individual notifications as read by tapping them, or tap Mark all read to clear all unread indicators at once. The app icon badge count updates automatically.

    Notifications link to the relevant screen when tapped — sale notifications go to Orders, message notifications go to Chat, and offer notifications go to Listings.


    Important: Install from the App Store or Google Play

    Push notifications require the FLUF Connect app to be installed from the App Store or Google Play.


    Tips

  • Keep notifications enabled to ship orders quickly — fast shipping improves your seller ratings on all platforms
  • If you're not receiving notifications, check that they're enabled both in the app settings and in your device's notification settings for FLUF Connect
  • Use Quiet Hours to avoid late-night alerts without losing important notifications — they'll be delivered when quiet hours end
