Edit an Existing Listing
You can change a listing's title, price, description, photos, category, brand, condition, size and other attributes any time after it's live — and have FLUF push the update out to every channel you've already crosslisted to.
There are two places to do this: the Crosslist page on the web, and the Listings tab in the FLUF Mobile app. The web flow has the most control over which channels receive the update; the mobile flow is faster for quick fixes.
On the web (Crosslist page)
- Open Crosslist and find the listing you want to edit. You can search by title or filter by channel.
- Click the listing. The Product Detail Panel slides in from the right.
- Click Edit at the top of the panel to make the fields editable.
- Change whatever you need to — title, description, price, photos, brand, category, condition, size, attributes, etc.
- Make sure the Update on External Channels toggle (near the Save button) is ON. It's on by default — only switch it off if you want to update FLUF only and leave the live listings untouched.
- Click Save. If the toggle is on, you'll see the Update on Channels modal listing every channel this product is live on — tick the ones you want the update pushed to and confirm.
FLUF then:
- Saves your changes to FLUF.
- Updates each selected channel via its API (eBay, Shopify, etc.) or queues the update for channels that need the FLUF browser extension (Vinted, Facebook, Poshmark, Whatnot — make sure the extension is running on your desktop).
- Shows a summary toast: "Updated on FLUF and 3 channels" — or, if any channel fails, an inline error link to the channel's listing so you can finish the change manually.
Don't see Edit?
Edit is only available on listings that originated in FLUF or that FLUF has fully imported. Channel-only listings that haven't yet been linked to a FLUF product show the channel's own listing page when clicked instead.
On mobile
- Open the Listings tab.
- Tap the card of the listing you want to change.
- Tap Edit in the detail view. This opens the same form you used to create the listing.
- Change the fields, then tap Save.
The mobile edit saves to FLUF. To push the change out to channels you've already crosslisted to, use the web Crosslist page → Product Detail Panel → Update on External Channels flow above. (We're working on adding the same toggle to the mobile edit screen — until then, hop to a desktop for cross-channel pushes.)
For tiny fixes (a typo, a price), it's still fastest to edit on mobile and then push from the web in one click.
What actually gets sent to each channel
Most fields go through unchanged: title, description, price, photos, condition note, brand. Each channel has slightly different limits (eBay caps titles at 80 characters; Depop trims descriptions; Vinted may reformat photos to fit its aspect ratio) — FLUF handles those automatically.
Categories and structured attributes are translated, not copied. Each marketplace has its own taxonomy, so when you set the FLUF category to (e.g.) Interlocking Blocks, FLUF maps it to:
- eBay UK →
Toys & Games › Construction & Building Toys › LEGO® Building Toys › LEGO® Bricks, Pieces & Parts - Vinted →
Toys & games › Construction toys - Depop →
Toys › Toys & Games - Shopify → your own collection rules
Same with structured attributes like Brand, Size, and Condition: each channel has its own allowed list, so FLUF picks the closest match and pushes that.
When the channel-side category looks wrong
If you change the FLUF category, push the update, and the live channel listing still ends up in something that doesn't fit, two things may have happened:
- The FLUF category is too generic for the channel. Pick a more specific FLUF category and push again — e.g. "Interlocking Blocks" maps cleanly to eBay's LEGO subcategory, whereas a generic "Toys" might land in a broader leaf.
- The FLUF→channel translation itself is off. FLUF's translation map is shared across all sellers, so a wrong mapping affects more than just you. In this case:
- Fix the live listing on the channel directly (eBay, Depop, etc. — log in and change the category there) so the buyer-facing page is right now.
- Let the FLUF team know via Contact Support with the FLUF category name and the channel category it should map to. We'll update the central mapping so future pushes from you and everyone else go to the right place.
If the wrong category came from a freshly-AI-generated listing (the AI mis-read a photo and picked the wrong FLUF category), see Review Before Listing for catching that before publishing.
A couple of safety notes
- Stock and "sold" status are not changed by an edit. If you want to mark an item sold or restock it, use the dedicated Mark as Sold / inventory controls in the detail panel, not the Edit form.
- eBay-specific: changing the primary category on a listing that already has bids or sales is blocked by eBay's own rules. If you see an "Auction ended" or "Bid restrictions" error, end the listing and relist it from FLUF — the new listing will be created in the corrected category.
- Channel-specific edits aren't lost. If you've manually edited a listing directly on (say) Depop after crosslisting, an Update from FLUF will overwrite those manual edits with the FLUF values. Toggle Update on External Channels off before saving if you only want to change FLUF's internal record.
