Connecting Gettit to FLUF Connect
Gettit is an Australian marketplace for preloved goods — buyer protection and tracked Australia Post delivery on every order. It's not fashion-only: electronics, homeware, tools, pet supplies and antiques all sell there.
Connect it with your Gettit email and password. No browser extension needed.
Prerequisites
- An active Gettit account you can log into at gettit.com.au
- Your Gettit payout details set up (see below — this is the one that catches people out)
- A return address on your Gettit account, if you want to post items
- Prices in Australian dollars
Gettit is Australia only
Gettit sells within Australia. Your items need an Australian address to sell from, and they need to be priced in AUD — FLUF won't list a product priced in another currency rather than send £90 out as A$90.
Connection Steps
Step 1: Open the connection window
- Go to Connect → Channels
- Click Add Channel and select Gettit
Step 2: Enter your Gettit details
Type the email address and password you use on Gettit, then click Connect.
Your password is used once to sign in and then discarded — FLUF never stores it. You can disconnect at any time.
Signed up with Apple or Google? You don't have a password yet. Set one at gettit.com.au/forgot-password, then come back and connect.
Using two-factor authentication? FLUF will ask for the 6-digit code from your authenticator app straight after your password.
Two things to sort out before you crosslist
Gettit checks your seller account before it shows a listing to buyers. If either of these is missing, FLUF tells you as soon as you connect — but it's quicker to fix them first.
1. Finish your payout setup
Until Gettit can pay you, it saves everything you list as a draft. Drafts are invisible to buyers and can't sell. FLUF will tell you when a listing has been held as a draft rather than pretending it went live.
Finish payout setup at gettit.com.au/you, then publish the drafts.
2. Add the address you sell from
Every Gettit listing carries the Australian location it's being sold from, and without one nothing can be listed. Two things set it:
- List one item directly on Gettit — FLUF picks the location up from it, and everything after that goes through.
- Set an Australian address on FLUF's Settings → General tab.
Setting only the suburb and postcode in your Gettit selling defaults isn't enough on its own.
If you want to post items
Gettit buys the delivery label, so it needs a return address on your account before it will accept a listing that offers postage. Add one at gettit.com.au/you.
Prefer to sell locally? Turn posting off and local pickup on in your Gettit selling defaults, and your listings will go through without a return address.
What to expect on your Gettit listings
- One item per listing. Gettit has no quantity field — every listing is a single item.
- Prices in AUD. Between A$1 and A$100,000.
- Up to 12 photos per listing.
- A category is required. FLUF matches your product to a Gettit category; you can set your own mapping under Category Mapping if you'd rather choose.
Selling and stock
- When an item sells anywhere else, FLUF removes it from Gettit automatically.
- A sale on Gettit is not detected automatically yet, so if something sells there, mark it as sold in FLUF to keep your other channels in step. We're adding automatic detection.
Troubleshooting
"Gettit did not accept that email and password" — if you sign in with Apple or Google, set a password first at gettit.com.au/forgot-password.
Your listing was created as a draft — finish payout setup at gettit.com.au/you, then publish it.
"Gettit will not accept a posted listing until your account has a return address" — add one at gettit.com.au/you, or switch the listing to local pickup.
"Gettit needs the Australian address this item is being sold from" — list one item directly on Gettit, or set an Australian address on Settings → General.
"Gettit only accepts AUD" — the product is priced in another currency. Reprice it in Australian dollars.
